Washington Free Beacon: US Arrests 4 Mexicans in Smuggling Incident That Killed 53 Migrants in Texas
US Arrests 4 Mexicans in Smuggling Incident That Killed 53 Migrants in Texas
Four Mexicans were arrested in Texas over a human smuggling ring responsible for the deaths of 53 migrants in a sweltering truck last year. Migrants from Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras were left in a tractor-trailer with malfunctioning air conditioning abandoned on the outskirts of San Antonio, on June 27, 2022. Prosecutors allege that the suspects knew the trailer's air conditioning did not work and had smuggled adults and children from Central America and Mexico alongside eight children and a pregnant woman. The four men have been indicted on a range of illegal transport charges and face life imprisonment if convicted.

Newsbusters: PBS’s Washington Week Panel Showers Hunter and Presidential Dad With Sympathy
PBS’s Washington Week Panel Showers Hunter and Presidential Dad With Sympathy
Hunter Biden's attendance at a state dinner held for India's prime minister just days after his plea agreement with the Department of Justice sparked controversy. Panelists on PBS's Washington Week offered sympathy for President Joe Biden dealing with a family crisis and avoiding an appearance of wrongdoing. White House correspondent Weijia Jiang said that the administration's strategy was not to hide him, while Mary Bruce said Joe Biden responded as a devoted father first and the politician second. Hunter Biden's alleged text message to a Chinese businessman claiming he was sitting next to his father was also discussed, with Republicans vowing to continue investigating the president and his family.

WATCH: Senator Rick Scott Issues Florida Travel Advisory for Socialists and Communists
GOP Senator Rick Scott warns socialists and communists not to travel to Florida, stating they are not welcome in the Sunshine State due to Florida's belief in freedom, liberty, and capitalism. This announcement comes in response to the Biden Administration's attempts to remove capitalism and erase the system that has brought prosperity to Florida and the entire U.S. Senate Democrats harshly criticized his statements in opposition, including a formal travel advisory issued by Democrats.

PJ Media: One Year After Dobbs Decision, the Fight to Protect the Unborn Is More Intense Than Ever
One Year After Dobbs Decision, the Fight to Protect the Unborn Is More Intense Than Ever
The Dobbs v Jackson Women's Health Organization decision overturned Roe v Wade, the pro-abortion leftists responded with protests and threats. Many attributed the Republican party's underperformance in last year's midterms to the Dobbs decision, but it's ridiculous to think that smearing the pro-life struggle with leftist-inspired grey areas will help the GOP win. Democrats have radicalized the youth of America to advance their agenda and conservatives need to embrace the issue rather than run away from it to win in 2024.

Red State: Another WhatsApp Message Emerges that Points Right to the 'Bidens'
Another WhatsApp Message Emerges that Points Right to the 'Bidens'
Hunter Biden tried to secure money from China as part of a "partnership" with the Bidens running a corrupt influence-peddling scheme. A second WhatsApp message has now emerged leaving many questions unanswered, but the fact remains that the Biden family put China and their interests ahead of America. Joe Biden's political reputation is on the line heading into the 2024 election, especially as more facts come to light and the Oversight Committee and whistleblowers they are working with have produced the first steps toward an impeachment inquiry into the president.

The Economist: The Supreme Court declines to upend American election law
The Supreme Court declines to upend American election law
The Supreme Court upholds American election law, rejecting the "independent state legislature" theory which sought to give state legislatures near-absolute authority over federal elections. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote for the six-justice majority, stating that while the federal constitution may empower state legislatures to make election laws, it does not insulate them from the ordinary exercise of state judicial review. Justice Clarence Thomas dissented, arguing that the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case. The decision confirms the role of state courts in policing state legislatures' actions in regard to federal elections.

The Babylon Bee: 8 Surefire Ways To Get Your Wife To Stop Being Mad At You
8 Surefire Ways To Get Your Wife To Stop Being Mad At You
The Babylon Bee has come up with a list of things husbands can do to make their wives stop being mad at them, including telling them their reasons for being mad are irrational. If that fails, they should compliment their teeth and neck using lines from the Song of Solomon, ask what they did to make them mad and crack a joke to lighten the mood. If all else fails, the site recommends going to Chick-Fil-A. **If it doesn't work, and she gets even more mad at you, we're not responsible.**

The Federalist Papers: New Yorker Lets Libs Know How He Really Feels as City Cracks Down on Coal, Wood-Fired Pizzerias
New Yorker Lets Libs Know How He Really Feels as City Cracks Down on Coal, Wood-Fired Pizzerias
Conservative activist Scott LoBaido protests New York City's restrictions on coal and wood-fired pizza ovens by showing up outside City Hall with boxes of pizza and hurling slices over the gate. The new guidelines require pizzeria owners with these ovens to cut their carbon emissions by 75 percent, which would be expensive. In a profanity-laced tirade, LoBaido called out city officials for misplaced priorities, such as violent crime and failing schools, and ruining New York's character. Police showed up and issued him a court summons, but people on Twitter praised him for expressing their thoughts.

Nikki Haley torches Trump, Biden on China response, deems Beijing 'most dangerous foreign threat' since WWII
Nikki Haley calls China "the most dangerous foreign threat we’ve faced since the Second World War" and criticizes both Trump and Biden in her hard-line speech at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. Forbes: Commodities Prices Keep Falling — It’s Good News
Commodities Prices Keep Falling — It’s Good News
Commodity prices are tumbling, indicating that inflation may be ending. Last month, the PPI for All Commodities fell by 7.1%, compared to 3.1% the previous month, which tracks raw commodities such as energy, metals, lumber, farm products and food stuffs. Retail price increases are predicted to moderate in a few weeks, as energy prices are driving overall inflation, and when costs fall or stabilise, there is a better chance that inflation cools. As well as energy, softness in wheat prices and wholesale coffee could benefit Europe's Eurozone, but labour costs have soared, meaning the falling prices are unlikely to be sustained.

Europe must have falling inflation in order to prompt central banks, such as the Federal Reserve and ECB, to pause interest rate increases and capitalise on cooler inflation. Falling rates could help Germany, the largest economy in Europe, to recover. Europe was significantly hit by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in early 2021, where it relied on energy supplies from Russia and agricultural supplies from both Russia and Ukraine. The surge in food and energy prices may have tipped Germany into a recession.

Washington Free Beacon: Kentucky Governor Says Puberty Blockers and Hormone Therapy for Kids Are 'Basic Medical Decisions'
Kentucky Governor Says Puberty Blockers and Hormone Therapy for Kids Are 'Basic Medical Decisions'
Kentucky's Democratic governor, Andy Beshear, has defended puberty blockers and hormone therapy treatments for children, despite the opinion of many medical experts who say they can cause long-term bone and fertility issues. A GOP bill that banned the use of the treatments under the age of 18 was recently vetoed by Beshear, who stated that parents should have the right to make basic medical decisions. Beshear's veto was ultimately overruled by the Republican supermajority in the state legislature. Several red states, including Kentucky, Indiana, Florida, and Arkansas, have passed similar policies banning gender-transition treatments for minors, while some blue states have taken the opposite approach by offering protection to minors who cross state lines to undergo gender transition surgeries .
