Nothing to see here: Democrats ignore alleged Biden corruption
House Democrats on the Ways and Means Committee voted to keep hidden from the public the whistleblower testimony revealing the Department of Justice's blockage of Hunter Biden's investigation; Democrats continue to defend Joe and Hunter Biden's alleged corruption. Recent investigations reveal significant sums of money flowing to Biden's family members from countries such as China and Ukraine through obscure LLCs, with allegations that Joe and Hunter Biden accepted bribes. The potential for Democrats to break ranks and support investigations into allegations is rising, with a recent Harvard/Harris poll indicating two-thirds of the country does not believe Joe has never discussed Hunter's business dealings.

Fox News: BlackRock, CEO Larry Fink are ‘poster children for ESG,’ critic says: ‘Phenomenon that must be opposed’
BlackRock, CEO Larry Fink are ‘poster children for ESG,’ critic says: ‘Phenomenon that must be opposed’
BlackRock CEO Larry Fink is under fire from conservatives over his support for environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria in investment. Will Hild, executive director of Consumers' Research, believes BlackRock is "the poster child for ESG," and a "corruption" of the free-market system. Hild believes ESG is being used to push a "far-left, progressive agenda" and has likened it to critical race theory. BlackRock responded by calling ESG a "fair pursuit of profit," however, Hild said the organization will continue to monitor BlackRock’s actions to oppose the use of ESG in financial services.

The Epoch Times: Easing Demand Hitting Manufacturing Sector Hard
Easing Demand Hitting Manufacturing Sector Hard
Australian manufacturers are experiencing tough times due to decreases in orders, increases in material and labour costs, and ongoing labour shortages. As a result, confidence has fallen to levels last seen during the global financial crisis. Some firms have been unable to add workers, with a net one percent reporting an uplift in employment over the June quarter. Inflation has also caused the Reserve Bank to lift interest rates, with S&P Global winding back its growth forecasts for Australia. The slowdown, however, is not expected to lead to a recession in the near future.

Spectator USA: Glamorous is prestige TV’s first post-woke program
Glamorous is prestige TV’s first post-woke program
The Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That is heavy-handedly woke, featuring gender-nonbinary Che Diaz and quota-filling black characters. Kim Cattrall is missing, but shines in the Netflix show Glamorous. The show's star, Ben J. Pierce, plays a brown-skinned queer Zoomer makeup artist, demonstrating a level of restraint and sophistication that could serve as a primer for our identity-obsessed times. Pierce's character is simply left to be a boy, with admirable dimensionality, power, and self-acceptance.

Spectator USA: In praise of encyclopedias
In praise of encyclopedias
Simon Winchester's new book, Knowing What We Know: The Transmission of Knowledge, from Ancient Wisdom to Modern Magic, explores the myriad ways we try to preserve knowledge and the fear that it may fall short of wisdom or be rendered obsolete by technology. In comparison, Simon Garfield's book, All the Knowledge in the World: The Extraordinary History of the Encyclopedia, dives deep into the history of the encyclopedia and highlights the value of ancient editions as they carry their own "secret knowledge." Both authors face similar challenges in writing about the broad subject of knowledge and offer unique approaches to the topic.

Women’s World Cup: Concerns Over Early Call-Ups Shows Game Is Growing
FIFA and the European Club Association (ECA) have loosened release date rules around when players can leave their clubs and join their national teams to prepare for the Women's World Cup, after concerns about early call-ups. The mandatory release date remains July 10 for players whose clubs have matches up to that date, but players whose domestic seasons are completed can be released from June 23-29, which is four weeks before the World Cup starts. FIFA’s chief women’s football officer, Sarai Bareman, called early agreements one of the “growing pains” of the women’s game, adding that the game is experiencing a period of quick evolution.

Fox News: Bud Light controversy dismissed by country artist Tyler Farr amid Garth Brooks backlash: 'Kind of silly'
Bud Light controversy dismissed by country artist Tyler Farr amid Garth Brooks backlash: 'Kind of silly'
Country music stars Garth Brooks and John Rich have taken opposing sides on Bud Light's partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. Tyler Farr has criticized the involvement of beer cans in making statements. In his new single "Rednecks Like Me," Farr declares he is country to the bone, and said redneck to him means a blue collar working man who does what he wants and does not care what people think of them. Farr's family background even includes classical training as an opera singer, which he began in seventh grade.
