Forbes: The IEA’s ‘Net Zero’ Roadmap Analyzed
The IEA’s ‘Net Zero’ Roadmap Analyzed
The International Energy Agency (IEA) report calling for an end to all new investments in oil and gas from 2021 has been met with polarised responses. Climate Action 100+ hailed the report, while the Saudi oil minister has ridiculed it. The Energy Policy Research Foundation (EPRF) analysis, funded by the RealClearFoundation, now allows an exposé of the assumptions and conclusions within the IEA report. The EPRF highlights that the IEA's "magical thinking" on a "net zero" future is illustrated by its absurdly optimistic forecasts of new innovations and technologies that are yet unproven to be commercially viable. The EPRF concludes that the IEA’s report offers an unrealistic view of the energy transition and is part of a wider political agenda that has been co-opted by climate extremists who seek to reorder society under the climate crisis religion.

The Epoch Times: Global Mining CEO Says Chile Easier to Deal With Than the Queensland Government
Global Mining CEO Says Chile Easier to Deal With Than the Queensland Government
BHP CEO Mike Henry criticized Queensland's decision to raise mining royalties, which could lead the mining giant to pull investment from the region. Henry contrasted the move with Chile's "respectful" engagement with the industry and called Queensland the world's highest coal taxing regime. He also criticized the federal Labor government's changes to workplace laws, which could cost BHP $1.3 billion per year. Despite Henry's remarks, the Queensland government announced several initiatives to position the state as a "global leader" in critical mineral mining, including a $100m Critical Minerals and Battery Fund.
