Fox News: Wisconsin voters decide on future of state's top election official as Republicans call for her resignation
Wisconsin voters decide on future of state's top election official as Republicans call for her resignation
The fate of Wisconsin's top elections official, Meagan Wolfe, was up for a vote amid Republican calls for her resignation over how she ran the 2020 presidential contest. Wolfe has staunchly defended her decisions and fought back against false claims of election fraud. The decision on Wolfe's future rests with the Wisconsin Elections Commission, whose six members are evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats, leading to the possibility of a partisan deadlock .

A recent Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling would allow Wolfe to continue as administrator, even after her term ends. Republican state senators have vowed to vote against Wolfe, who has sparred with them over election conspiracy theories on numerous occasions. Whoever the elections commission appoints would need to be confirmed by the Republican-controlled state Senate. The commission’s vote comes as a divided GOP struggles to move past election lies that Trump and his followers have promoted since his loss to President Joe Biden in 2020 .

GOP lawmaker angers liberals with 'socialists and communists' travel advisory for Florida: 'Totally normal'
Sen. Rick Scott warned "socialists and communists" against traveling to Florida as they are "not welcome" in the state that believes in freedom, liberty, and capitalism. Liberals criticized his comments, with one podcast host calling him less charismatic than Gov. Ron DeSantis, an MSNBC host calling his comments "totally normal" for a U.S. senator, and a former Ohio state senator calling them "extremely inappropriate at best" and a "threat at worst." Scott had previously issued a travel advisory in May, warning against attempts to spread socialism in the state, while the NAACP had issued a formal travel advisory for the state under DeSantis' leadership, claiming it has engaged in an "all-out attack on Black Americans" and other minority groups.

He owns a 30-acre estate in Martha’s Vineyard that costs $11.75m making "obscene inequality."

Actor Jim Caviezel criticized Pride Month events on Twitter, accusing them of robbing children of their innocence and promoting "woke ideology." Bud Light's Promotion of LGBT Agenda Is Effort to Change the Culture - The New American
AB InBev, the multinational drink and beverage company, hired Dylan Mulvaney, a man who dresses as a woman, to market Bud Light in an effort to attract young drinkers to the brand. The controversial ad during the March Madness basketball tournament sparked a backlash, but the company's CEO, Brendan Whitworth, did not apologize, instead offering a statement that the summer advertising will reinforce the brand's appeal. Despite a decrease in sales and the stock price, AB InBev plans to continue marketing Bud Light inclusively, with NFL stars, country singers, and a cash giveaway campaign. The company's investment outlook is positive, and analysts see the stock price increasing.

Foreign Policy: Putin’s Stability Was Always a Myth
Putin’s Stability Was Always a Myth
Russia's instability is made by leaders like Putin, who promised stability in the name of a strong nation, but rode an oil boom and enriched the elites, while committing corruption on a massive scale and stamping out democracy at home. Putin presides over a mafia clan that took over a hollowed-out state. Putin believes in the criminal code of laws which has been called "po ponyatiyam." As Putin continued to destabilize the Ukrainian Donbas region in 2014, the resentment of the West grew. Western governments did not show enough strength and force in opposing Putin in 2014, which made the eventual massive-scale invasion of Ukraine possible. Even with the insurrection stopped, Putin's credibility is shot, and Prigozhin's insurrection suggests a preamble to greater instability in Russia. Putin got away with violence and corruption for years, and now he feels untouchable; however, the same can be said of the men whom Putin controls. None of this is good news for the stability of the Russian regime down the road.

US Sees Potential For Saudi-Israeli Diplomatic Accord
US diplomats are reportedly trying to broker a deal to normalize relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, according to Tzachi Hanegbi, Israel's National Security Adviser. Hanegbi said US officials had not fully briefed Israel on their plans for such an agreement, but he remained "optimistic" about the possibility of normalizing ties. While Israel is reportedly keen to build on the Abraham Accords, Saudi Arabia has its own set of demands from the US as part of any communication with Israel, including American support for its nuclear program and security pact with the US.

Ford Latest Automaker to Institute Layoffs amid Electric-Vehicle Push: Report
Ford is laying off over 1,000 engineers in North America to cut costs amid its transition to electric vehicles. The move follows previous job cuts in the US and a push from the Biden administration to hasten the shift to EVs. Ford expects to lose $3bn in operating profit this year on its EV business due to high rare mineral costs and a lack of charging stations and infrastructure. EV profitability is posing similar challenges for other carmakers, including GM and Stellantis. Biden's climate change agenda includes carbon limits for power plants and the creation of the White House Office of Environmental Justice, while he faces disputes over climate-related sections of the Inflation Reduction Act.

US clears forests riddled with dead trees, undergrowth to lower wildfire risks
The Biden administration is attempting to combat worsening wildfires in the US West through a multi-billion dollar cleanup of forests with chainsaws, heavy machinery and controlled burns. However, the federal land manager fell behind on several priority forests for thinning, and skipped over highly at-risk communities. Mixed early results from the initiative underscore the challenge of reversing decades of lax forest management and aggressive fire suppression. This comes amid criticism from lawmakers dissatisfied with progress, and environmentalists for cutting too many trees.
