Townhall: Stop Being Stupid, Republicans
Stop Being Stupid, Republicans
Republicans propose legislation to expunge Trump's two impeachments. However, this is a stupid move as history is based on what actually happened. The impeachments happened and they cannot be disregarded in an attempt to erase them. Instead of wasting time on this effort, House Republicans should focus on exposing how radical Democrats are and hold votes on legislation popular with Americans. This would draw contrasts that can be used in the election against opponents.

PJ Media: Hey Leftists: Stop With the Whining About Being 'Unsafe' on Twitter
Hey Leftists: Stop With the Whining About Being 'Unsafe' on Twitter
GLAAD, the world's largest LGBTQ media advocacy organization released their third annual Social Media Safety Index and gave low or failing scores to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter in protecting LGBTQ users from online hate speech and harassment. The report reveals that those who identify as transgender, non-binary, or gender non-conforming are the most affected by online anti-LGBTQ hate. However, the report's emphasis is ironic as Twitter's criticism is attributed to their allowing people with the opinion that there are only two genders express their views on social media. The left's "hate speech" rhetoric is further alarming and arbitrary.

Townhall: The GOP's Abortion Dilemma
The GOP's Abortion Dilemma
Despite the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the incidence of abortion in America has only declined by 3%, and during Trump’s presidency, the number of abortions actually increased by 8%. Democrats are using the demise of Roe to rally their base, while Republicans struggle with their stance on outlawing abortion and appear “pro-life” only when it is politically advantageous to them. This issue has become a winner for Democrats and an albatross for the GOP. The abortion baseline is actually higher today than it was when Trump, the slayer of Roe, took office.

Townhall: The Crisis That Cannot Be Ignored
The Crisis That Cannot Be Ignored
June is PTSD Awareness Month, highlighting the mental health crisis facing veterans, military service members, and first responders. However, society's focus remains on more politically relevant agendas and narratives, leaving these struggling demographics overlooked and unsupported. Suicides occur at a rate of over 20 a day among military personnel alone. The disappearance of wholesome and uplifting programs for mental health support, coupled with unprecedented divisiveness, has created a confused and anxious society and exacerbating the mental health crisis.

The Epoch Times: David Johnston Files Final Report on Foreign Meddling, Done as Special Rapporteur
David Johnston Files Final Report on Foreign Meddling, Done as Special Rapporteur
David Johnston submitted his final confidential report on foreign interference to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The report will not be made public, but a cover letter from Johnston that was released suggested that the report was a “supplement to the confidential annex” of his earlier report. Johnston had been tasked with setting a path forward for the government in tackling the issue of foreign interference and had proposed public hearings to educate Canadians about how foreign interference happens and how to manage it. However, days after the report was made public, a majority of MPs passed a non-binding NDP motion calling for Johnston to step down due to perceived bias. Opposition party leaders had been in negotiations last week to decide on terms for a possible public inquiry.

The Epoch Times: Texas Supreme Court Rules ERCOT is Immune From Lawsuits Over 2021 Deadly Winter Storm
Texas Supreme Court Rules ERCOT is Immune From Lawsuits Over 2021 Deadly Winter Storm
The Texas Supreme Court has ruled that ERCOT, the nonprofit corporation that manages Texas' electrical power grid, has sovereign immunity from lawsuits pertaining to Winter Storm Uri in February 2021, which resulted in 246 deaths and power outages for millions of Texans. The court's decision overturns a previous ruling from the Fifth Court of Appeals in Dallas last year, which found that ERCOT was not entitled to sovereign immunity. The ruling means that any judgments passed down to ERCOT would have to be paid off by consumers, as the company has no financial resources of its own. This could potentially result in raised rates for Texans.

ERCOT issued its second weather watch of the week on Monday, given the triple-digit temperatures putting stress on the power grid. Despite ongoing wrongful death and financial impact lawsuits, the Texas legislature has made no provision to add capacity since Winter Storm Uri, according to energy economist Ed Hirs of the University of Houston. Several justices dissented in the Supreme Court's ruling, stating that this decision undermines public trust and protects a "purely private entity" that has not been designated as part of the government.

The Epoch Times: KPMG to Cut 5 Percent of US Jobs in Fresh Round of Layoffs
KPMG to Cut 5 Percent of US Jobs in Fresh Round of Layoffs
KPMG, the Big Four accounting giant, is laying off 5 percent of its US employees due to economic headwinds and low attrition. The firm had over 39,000 employees in the US at the end of its last fiscal year. KPMG cut about 2 percent of its US workforce in February, becoming the first of the world’s four biggest accountancy firms to make job cuts. The layoffs will take place through the rest of its 2023 financial year. Several companies have reduced staff numbers in anticipation of a potential economic downturn later in the year. EY and Deloitte also reportedly made cuts.

Was Your Flight Canceled Amid Bad Weather? What You Need to Know About Rebooking, Refunds and More
Thunderstorms and technology issues caused major flight cancellations and delays across the US East Coast and Midwest, affecting nearly 2,000 flights over the weekend. Many major hubs were halted due to the weather, including Chicago, New York, and Atlanta. However, experts offer advice to deal with flight cancellations, including rebooking for free on the next available flight or receiving a full refund. Airlines are not required to give compensation, but many do offer accommodations. Industry officials insist that airlines have fixed problems that caused flight cancellations and delays last summer, although staff shortages remain among key air traffic controllers.
