Newsbusters: Media Mogul Michael Bloomberg Celebrates Crushing American Energy Industry
Michael Bloomberg has released a report boasting about his philanthropic work to harm the American energy industry, including shutting down more than 70% of plants nationwide and blocking the construction or expansion of new U.S. petrochemical facilities. Bloomberg’s campaign intends to block around 120 proposed petrochemical facilities and opposes not only all sources of cheap and popular energy, but also any products derived from them. The report seemed to anticipate that Americans would take issue with Bloomberg’s efforts, claiming that their campaign is about local communities’ health and climate risks. Climate Depot founder Marc Morano has spoken out against the campaign, stating that restricting cheap, reliable energy and the miracle of plastic will not impact 'climate change' nor will it alter global carbon dioxide levels.
Red State: The Skinny on SCOTUS - Tuesday Edition
Supreme Court handed down three decisions on Tuesday, leaving seven more to go. Among the rulings, the Court affirmed the state’s right to impose restrictions on congressional redistricting and to hear a case against a railroad company by an out-of-state employee. In another case, the Court set a recklessness standard for determining whether speech is a “true threat” and not protected by the First Amendment.
The Blaze: 'Somebody's lying': Legal scholar demands Congress act over 'real criminal and impeachable conduct' in Hunter Biden probe
Legal scholar Jonathan Turley calls for Congress to investigate the Justice Department's Hunter Biden probe, as there are conflicting accounts of how the investigation was conducted. Attorney General Merrick Garland insists that the U.S. attorney leading the investigation had complete independence, but IRS whistleblowers allege interference and slow-walking. Turley believes there may be criminal and impeachable conduct, and Congress needs to bring people in under subpoena to find the truth.
PJ Media: The Oregon Republican Party Needs an Intervention
The state of Oregon has become reliably blue, but the state's Republican Party still matters as it controls seven electoral votes and sends three representatives to the national party. However, the Oregon Republican Party is on the verge of collapse with fines piling up from the Secretary of State and an investigation by the Federal Election Commission looming. The ORP has failed to recruit candidates, handle fines, fundraise, and respond to demand letters, among other issues, and has been taken over by people more interested in settling old scores than running an efficient organization. The party needs an intervention before it slides into bankruptcy.
Newsbusters: Lone Solider: Wegmann Only Reporter to Press KJP on Hunter Appearing at WH State Dinner
During a White House press briefing, Real Clear Politics reporter Philip Wegmann questioned Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on President Biden's ethics for having his son attend a state dinner with Attorney General Merrick Garland. Jean-Pierre deflected the question by emphasizing the administration's transparency on ethics and strict rules. Wegmann also asked about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's visit to the border, to which Jean-Pierre claimed that it was Republican efforts that caused the biggest border security cut in history, while President Biden has secured record funding for border security and implemented policies that have reduced unlawful border crossings.
Fox News: Senate report hammers FBI, Homeland Security over 'massive' Jan 6 intelligence failures
The FBI and DHS ignored a "massive amount" of intel before the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, according to a Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee report. Both organizations downplayed the plans of certain right-wing groups, considering them only as internet hyperbole. The issue was seen as a failure of imagination to see breaches of the Capitol as credible .
Senator John Kennedy, R-La., called for an independent investigation, as half the information provided by Democrats in the House had politicized the issue. He suggested that federal government received advance notice of the riot and that the institutions in Washington were not going to regain their integrity until they started telling the truth. Kennedy described the riot as an "abomination" and the truth must be told .
The Right Scoop: Mark Levin takes on Biden’s corrupt DOJ
Corrupt Biden DOJ, led by AG Garland, has committed scores of felonies, publicly identifying and characterizing classified information, interfering in the presidential election, and smearing Trump and his supporters. Meanwhile, they cover up evidence of Biden's financial schemes involving communist China. Garland is a dangerous man with Stalinist characteristics who has stonewalled appointing a special counsel to investigate Biden and is destroying the country with the help of the corrupt media and Democrat Party. The latest prosecutorial leak of an audio clip is intended to poison a jury pool and deny the former president due process.

Flag And Cross: UK Universities Urged To Adopt IHRA Definition Of Antisemitism
A report from the UK Parliament's task force on antisemitism in higher education recommends that universities embrace the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance working definition of antisemitism to build trust with Jewish students, staff and faculty. The task force consulted individuals and groups at 50 universities throughout the UK before issuing the 44-page report. While it notes that many Jewish students and staff have positive experiences, it comments that the impact of antisemitic incidents should not be underestimated and that current procedures may not provide sufficient protection. It also suggests wider training on the issue. Lord John Mann, the UK government's independent adviser on antisemitism, said the report was "vital".

Human Events: ‘WATCH OUT’: China develops new bioweapon program that could
‘specifically attack the genetics of a group of people’
China is developing bioweapons to target specific groups of people using gene-editing technology and a massive gene database. They identify groups and individuals they dislike, tailor bioweapons to attack their genetics, and use artificial intelligence to collate information. Jack Posobiec and Brandon Weichert warn that the bioweapons could be used against Muslim Turkik Uyghurs in China, as well as individuals in America. The development of bioweapons using CRISPR/Cas 9 technology has not been regulated, and could pose a serious threat to national security.
The Chinese military-civil fusion approach to bioweapons is different from the US's focus on traditional bioweapons and chemicals. They are using advanced technology and AI to target specific groups of people or individuals and potentially wipe out undesirables. The US faced its most serious biological attack when letters containing anthrax appeared in US mail weeks after 9/11. Dr. Bruce Ivins, part of the USAMRIID team, committed suicide after being charged in the case. The use of bioweapons targeting specific genetic traits could have devastating consequences and pose a serious threat to public health and safety.

Flag And Cross: Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Reduces Stake In Chinese EV Maker BYD
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has been reducing its stake in Chinese EV maker BYD, selling around 2.53 million Hong Kong-listed shares for $86.3m. This follows a previous sale in May when it sold 1.96 million BYD shares for $59m, lowering its holding below 10%. Berkshire first invested in BYD in 2008, purchasing 225 million shares valued at $230 million. The sale of BYD shares may reflect Buffett's cautious approach to the automotive industry. Meanwhile, BYD's diversified production of plug-in hybrids and EVs sets it apart from Tesla with reports suggesting that Buffett's recent divestment is routine rather than a policy divergence with his deputy, Charlie Munger.

Whilst this topic was thought to be the most interesting military story coming out of the Paris Air Show, it is unlikely to gain traction.

Fox News: IV therapy craze has Americans pumping vitamins into their veins: Results are 'pretty dramatic'
IV drip therapy, a method of receiving essential vitamins directly into the bloodstream, has become popular as a hangover cure and general health trend. About 50% of the US population is vitamin deficient, leading to a major demand in supplements. Traditional oral supplements are not always effective, but IV therapy permits vitamins to be absorbed almost 100%. IV clinics often offer individualized vitamin drips, tailored to the patient's specific needs. While the practice is not covered by insurance, IV therapy is considered safe when used responsibly.

North Carolina's Senate approved revisions to its new abortion restrictions, one of which is set to be enacted this weekend. The new law will ban most abortions after 12 weeks of pregnancy and adds exceptions to the 12-week ban, replacing current rules that ban nearly all abortions after 20 weeks. Meanwhile, pro-life activists are challenging the imposition of anti-protest zones around abortion clinics in a separate lawsuit. The changes offered by the Senate may address some of the inconsistencies, unconstitutional restrictions and other issues identified in the lawsuit filed by Planned Parenthood South Atlantic and a physician.

One of the biggest challenges is to reduce production costs to achieve price parity with the beef market.
