Breitbart: Prosecutors Furious at Leak that Israeli Judges Think Netanyahu Case Too Weak
Prosecutors Furious at Leak that Israeli Judges Think Netanyahu Case Too Weak
Judges in Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's corruption trial told lawyers that they consider one charge too weak to succeed, causing political shockwaves. Netanyahu faces trial for three counts of corruption, with the most serious charge being in "Case 4000," where he allegedly gave regulatory favors to a telecommunications company in exchange for better media coverage. Judges are reported to have urged both sides to reach a plea deal on the charge. Netanyahu's trials have lasted three years, and are likely to last another five years.

Red State: James Comer Scoffs at Idea of a Special Counsel for Hunter Biden, Calls It 'Ridiculous'
James Comer Scoffs at Idea of a Special Counsel for Hunter Biden, Calls It 'Ridiculous'
House Oversight Committee member James Comer rejects the idea of a special counsel investigating Hunter Biden. Many are questioning the sweetheart deal Biden received, but Comer believes they have already found everything the DOJ and FBI hid for five years. A congressional investigation may not be ideal, but Comer's team will be transparent while a special counsel would be shielded by the DOJ, which has thoroughly trashed its credibility. It would also provide an opportunity to claim nothing can be released because it's part of an "ongoing investigation" to complete the cover-up. We are past the point of a special counsel being anything more than another delay tactic.

‘People with Wombs’ Throw Tantrum Outside Amazon Studios One Year After Roe Decision
Actress Lily Tomlin, feminist lawyer Gloria Allred and Friends co-creator Marta Kauffman led a group of feminists called “Showrunners for Abortion Rights” in a picket outside Amazon Studios demanding protection for those who work in states that have enacted legal protections for unborn children. The group wants Hollywood to provide Medevac helicopters to fly them from a set if they need an abortion out of state. They claim they can’t function in a professional capacity unless they know an abortion clinic is nearby. The coalition is demanding even more brainwashing in Hollywood shows, calling for an outright ban of filming in states that have protected unborn children.

Amy Klobuchar Deflects Hunter Biden Question - Chuck Todd's Facial Expression Says It All
On "Meet the Press," Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar was asked if she had concerns about President Biden's mental and physical health, to which she responded with praise for his accomplishments. Host Chuck Todd followed up by asking Klobuchar about Hunter Biden's attendance at a state dinner with Attorney General Merrick Garland while accepting a plea deal for tax violations. Klobuchar dismissed the question, stating that an independent prosecutor appointed by Trump made the decision and that she is more concerned with issues like insulin and jobs. Todd's face during the exchange went viral.

'Squad' Democrat strategizes with radical left-wing group whose members are under FBI investigation
Rep. Rashida Tlaib of the "Squad" joined a Zoom meeting organized by radical environmental groups to discuss future plans to disrupt climate change. The call aimed to "galvanize the activist community" and Tlaib has no official connection to any of the groups, according to a spokeswoman for the Climate Emergency Fund. Two members of Declare Emergency, a group on the call with Tlaib, are under FBI investigation for vandalizing a statue at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Climate Defiance, another group on the call, has organized protests that shut down several events. Tlaib's office did not respond to requests for comment.

PBS: 'Conservative' Brooks Blasts DeSantis on Woke Critique: 'It's Offensive'
PBS News Hour's weekly political roundtable lacks conservative balance with Jonathan Capehart and David Brooks often agreeing with each other. This week's discussion covered the 2024 GOP presidential hopefuls' pro-life stance, the fight against 'woke beliefs' in schools and corporations, and the Hunter Biden legal drama. While Capehart likened the anti-abortion stance as "political death" in a general election and criticized Republicans for their failure to define "woke," Brooks was offended by Governor Ron DeSantis comparing wokesters to Nazis, emphasizing the need for a change in the education system to reflect diverse American history. ProPublica's report on Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito not disclosing his luxury trip with Paul Singer was also discussed, with both Capehart and Brooks calling for ethics reform.

American Thinker: Russia: CIA mercenary machinations, or does Russia have too many Gen. Milleys of its own?
Russia: CIA mercenary machinations, or does Russia have too many Gen. Milleys of its own?
The recent military mutiny by the Wagner Group PMC has sparked numerous speculations. Historian Edward Luttwak and former FBI special agent Mark Wauck both believe that the rebellion was consistent with Russia's disastrous history with wars and that the mercenary group, Wagner, was easily purchased by the CIA for a coordinated operation that coincided with events in the run-up. The discontent between the competent and incompetent military officials was real. This all has the appearance of a desperate and prearranged effort to create mass alarm amongst the Russian public in favour of a would-be saviour - Prigozhin.

Putin's minister of defence, Sergei Shoigu, skipped military service altogether and history shows that Putin appoints obedient toadies lacking military talent. Putin was legally obsessed, focused on what the law says, and consequently, there have been fewer generals shot for their incompetence. Putin had his hands tied as to how he could conduct his war and turned it into a Special Military Operation (SMO). One problem arose when mercenaries who did the heavy lifting in attempting to take over Ukraine were susceptible to a CIA payment. The plot involved Prigozhin confronting the military commanders in Rostov, but he got nowhere, so it was abandoned. The FSB would have known of the plan well ahead of time, and the Russian authorities' reactions appear to have run like clockwork. Perhaps the CIA was a part of the original plot. It's what happens when a competent disruptor turns up in a sea of bureaucratic deep state sludge that amounts to the military. It's time to re-evaluate how these things happen, given that if a Milley situation could exist there, too, same as here, so could a Prigozhin. Sound like the U.S. is immune? Lucky us.

Breitbart: Counter-offensive Has Liberated 50 Square Miles, Claims Ukraine
Counter-offensive Has Liberated 50 Square Miles, Claims Ukraine
The Ukrainian military has "de-occupied" 130 square kilometers of national territory in its southern region since the start of the counter-offensive, pushing Russian lines back one to two kilometers towards Donetsk and Bakhmut. Ukrainian soldiers have entrenched themselves at the new forward positions and continue to engage with Russian forces. Intelligence from the UK Ministry of Defense said that Ukrainian forces have gained impetus in their Bakhmut and Donetsk offensives and had made progress. There remains a large area of Russian-occupied Ukraine to reclaim, and with the counter-offensive being slower than desired, it is unlikely that Ukraine has yet to fully commit its full forces.

National Review: Be Wary of a Wounded Putin
Be Wary of a Wounded Putin
The recent mutiny in Russia led by Wagner mercenaries has left Putin's public image as a strongman damaged, particularly as he failed to stop it and the mutineers were let off lightly. However, despite underlying fault lines, the authoritarian state remains largely effective. The situation has raised the need for Putin to secure his position and tighten his control over the country. From a US perspective, the situation is more dangerous than before and preparations should be made for rocky months ahead.

Rep. Mike Turner expressed concern over the recent turmoil in Russia and its impact on China's relationship with President Putin. He emphasized that Chinese President Xi Jinping must be concerned about standing next to someone who cannot control his military. Putin's loss of stature in the world diminishes President Xi's position and increases anxiety over the stability of Russia.

Biden Admin. Splashing $1.7 Billion to Fund Electric, Low-Emission Buses
The US Department of Transportation is releasing $1.7 billion to fund new electric and low-emission buses across the country. The money, which comes from 2021's infrastructure bill signed into law by President Joe Biden, will be used to fund transit projects in 46 states and territories. This is the second round of grants for electric buses and supporting infrastructure, and the US has so far invested $3.3 billion in the projects.

The Epoch Times: Money-Supply Slump Spells Private-Sector Recession
Money-Supply Slump Spells Private-Sector Recession
Despite the collapse in base money supply, we have not seen a recession yet due to the stealth nationalization of the economy. Large corporations and governments are unaffected while the burden falls on families and small businesses, which disguises a private-sector recession. Bloated government spending is boosting GDP externally, while citizens suffer from no technical recessions appearing in official data. This means that there is more public debt now and in the future, and a drain of liquidity for the private sector will continue for a prolonged period. This is leading to lower real wages, lower real disposable income, and lower real savings, and creating a downward spiral of inflation.

Liberty Nation: What Does It Take to Beat China in the Pacific?
What Does It Take to Beat China in the Pacific?
Strategies to win against China in the Indo-Pacific fall short due to the wildly extravagant assumption that necessary forces and supplies are in place. Although valid and necessary, urgent steps proposed by experts emphasize the obvious need for greater infrastructure protection and military mobility. Considering the long distance and time required for the Pacific Air Forces or the US Air Force, and the likelihood that the demand on logistics forces will grow, every China strategy must factor in time and distance, and confidence in the Military Sealift Command to rapidly mobilize and get underway will be crucial.
