The Epoch Times: Torontonians Head to Polls Monday to Elect New Mayor
Toronto voters will head to the polls on June 26th to elect their new mayor following John Tory's resignation. Olivia Chow is currently leading the polls with 36%, followed by Ana Bailão with 30%. Former police chief Mark Saunders, political commentator Anthony Furey, former Ontario Liberal MPP Mitzie Hunter, and city councillor Brad Bradford are all lagging behind with between 1% and 9% of the vote. The candidates are focusing on addressing Toronto's affordable housing crisis in their campaigns, with Chow's plan including raising taxes on expensive real-estate purchases to build cheaper housing units.

LGBT activists target Fort Worth City's cyber systems who claim to want to make a statement to the US government. The hackers, believed to be SiegedSec, mainly targeted pro-life state governments after the Supreme Court's Dobbs ruling overturning Roe v. Wade. This attack occurred after Texas Governor ratified a law prohibiting child sex-change mutilations, irreversible puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones to children. Although the data was not of a critical nature, it included photographs, spreadsheets, invoices, PDF documents, emails between staff, and other information related to work orders. The group claimed to have leaked more than 180 gigabytes of data and suggest that it is traceless by the FBI. The city is now seeking assistance from law enforcement to investigate this hack.

While untangling the effects of colonialism on women's rights in sub-Saharan Africa, studies have shown that African women were far more sexually expressive before European laws, culture and religion were imposed.
