Washington Free Beacon: McCarthy Floats Garland Impeachment After Whistleblower Allegations
Republicans may launch an impeachment investigation into Attorney General Merrick Garland if allegations about the Justice Department mistreating the Hunter Biden investigation are substantiated. IRS investigator Gary Shapley claimed that Garland's department prevented criminal tax charges against Biden. The inconsistencies in their statements could warrant impeachment investigations into Garland. Republicans suspect that Biden is receiving special treatment from the Justice Department, who awarded him with two minor tax charges and a felony gun charge.

Ice Cube plans to launch a "Fuck the Gatekeepers" podcast tour this year, which he says will challenge the establishment elite who control politics, media, sports, and other fields. Fox News: Conservative artist throws pizza at New York City Hall in response to coal-fired oven crackdown
Conservative activist Scott LoBaido threw pizza at city hall in response to a crackdown on coal- and wood-fired ovens used to make pizza. LoBaido's protest was meant to defy impending regulations from the city aimed at cutting carbon emissions. The New York City Department of Environmental Protection has drawn up new rules requiring pizzerias to hire engineers to inspect carbon emissions and install filters to cut carbon emissions in pre-2016 coal- and wood-fired ovens or face thousands of dollars in renovations.
Breitbart: Joe Biden Says 'No,' He Didn't Lie About Talking Business with Hunter
Joe Biden denies lying about not speaking with his son Hunter Biden regarding the family's international business deals, despite mounting evidence to the contrary. The White House changed its stance on Joe Biden's role in his family's business affairs after reporters asked about accusations by an IRS whistleblower that Joe and Hunter Biden were together when Hunter demanded payment in a WhatsApp message to a CCP-linked contact. Hunter's attorney, Chris Clark, tried to distance Joe Biden from the scandal by framing Hunter as a victim of addiction. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy threatened impeachment proceedings against Joe Biden's attorney general if the whistleblower allegations are true.
The New American: NASA Opposes Lithium Mining of Nevada Valley - The New American
NASA opposes lithium mining in Railroad Valley, Nevada due to the mineral-rich lakebed's use in post-launch satellite calibration. The Bureau of Land Management has withdrawn over 23,000 acres of public land in the valley for the next 20 years to maintain the surface's physical integrity and subsurface environment, protecting NASA's sensitive satellites. However, mining companies argue that the lithium is crucial for American economic and national security, reducing the country's dependence on foreign nations, and transitioning to a green economy. The battle over the Railroad Valley project continues.

The Epoch Times: Mother of Titan Submersible Victim Gave 'Excited' Son Her Spot on Doomed Vessel
The mother of two victims who died in the Titan submersible tragedy revealed that her son had an unusual goal - to solve a Rubik's Cube at the deepest point near the world-famous shipwreck. The 19-year-old even applied to become the first person to solve the puzzle at 3,700 meters below sea level but the application was rejected. Shahzada and Suleman Dawood had originally planned to make the trip with their mother but Christine Dawood gave the spot to her son because he was really excited about the project. Both her sons had wanted to view the famous shipwreck for a very long time and Suleman was disappointed when the original trip was cancelled due to COVID-19 as he was too young to go at the time.
Dawood said the shock of losing her family members was delayed while they were supposed to come up to the surface, but after 96 hours, she lost hope and prepared herself for the worst. Following the incident, Dawood said she and her daughter promised they would learn to solve the Rubik's Cube for Suleman and they will continue Shahzada's work. Shahzada was one of the richest men in Pakistan, and the Dawood Foundation, a charitable organisation of which he was a Board of Trustees member, plans to hold a service for him. Prayers will also be held on Tuesday at the foundation for Shahzada and Suleman.

The research also revealed that one in five consumers is now dining out less frequently, opting to visit higher value special eateries instead.

An altercation ensued, and an employee had to intervene to move the woman to a handicap seat. Most users on the AITA subreddit deemed her behavior as "YTA" ("You're the A--hole") because everyone should have access to seating on a crowded train, regardless of gender.

Foreign Policy: Congress Presses Biden to Deliver Cluster Munitions to Ukraine
Lawmakers are urging the Biden administration to send cluster munitions to Ukraine to assist in their ongoing counteroffensive against Russian forces. The weapon, which can be fired from artillery cannons and scatter up to 88 bomblets, could help Ukraine cut through Russian tanks and dug-in positions. However, the use of cluster bombs raises serious human rights concerns. Some military analysts have advocated for the use of DPICMs, arguing it could help address Ukraine’s artillery shortfalls and conserve traditional artillery shells. However, other experts argue that providing cluster munitions would undermine international arms control regimes and that Ukraine has already been a responsible steward of U.S.-provided weapons.

The Epoch Times: Lawmakers Demand Classified Briefing on Chinese Spy Base in Cuba
Lawmakers are urging the Biden administration to hold a classified briefing on the secret Chinese spy facility in Cuba due to the national security implications of the "growing intelligence" the CCP is gathering close to U.S. shores. Both Congress and the American public "deserve clarity about the national security implications of this direct provocation by our adversaries, and the concrete steps the Administration plans to take in response," say Sen. Robert Menendez and Rep. Michael McCaul. China has been operating an espionage facility on the island since at least 2019, which the White House has confirmed, and is just 90 miles off the nearest part of Florida, potentially targeting military bases and sensitive communication data.
Daily Wire: White House Says U.S. Won’t Take Sides In Russia’s Wagner Uprising
The US is not taking sides in the Wagner Group's uprising in Russia, according to John Kirby, coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council, who stated that the US is "not involved" and "would not get involved" and that "regime change is not our policy." Kirby also said that Putin's continued leadership is not the focus of the Biden administration, but supporting Ukraine in its fight against a Russian invasion is. The situation involves the Wagner mercenaries, who are in conflict with Russia's military leadership over their handling of the war in Ukraine and were allegedly marching toward Moscow until a recent deal was made.

Forbes: Author Post: The Power And Impact Of Holding Assets
Compounding assets always lead to exponential growth, making it important to hold onto them for as long as possible to create generational wealth. However, the "die and distribute" trap often leads to spendthrift behavior by heirs, depleting the assets. To avoid this, it is important to create a 200 Year Plan that preserves assets for future generations through a legacy plan. By investing in cash flow assets like dividend paying stocks or rental real estate, income can be generated to pay expenses and continue buying more assets, leading to financial success.
Fox News: NYC's prized coal-fired pizza shops could be 'crushed' by costly green-fueled regulations: pizzeria owner
New York City pizzerias using wood- or coal-fired ovens installed prior to 2016 would be required to cut carbon emissions by up to 75% under new regulations proposed by the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Restaurant owners would need to install a filter to the specified ovens then hire an engineer to regularly inspect the carbon emissions. Many pizzeria owners, including Paul Giannone, owner of Paulie Gee’s Pizzeria in Brooklyn, have expressed concern about the costs of complying with the rule, which could put some out of business.
Giannone said he had already spent over $20,000 since 2018 on emissions control air-filter devices for his wood-fired oven in anticipation of the DEP rule. "Why do I have to spend $20,000? I'm paying a ton of taxes already," he said, adding that if the city hoisted costly regulations on its business owners, taxpayers should be footing the bill. The DEP's new rule could impact 100 New York pizzerias, including famous ones such as Lombardi's in Little Italy, John's of Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village, and Grimaldi's near the Brooklyn Bridge.

Breitbart: Parent Company Guts Woke-Stained Turner Classic Movies
Warner Bros. Discovery is cutting staff at Turner Classic Movies, causing concern among some of Hollywood's elite directors. However, one commenter argues that TCM has lost its unique and important quality, purity, that it once brought to movie broadcasting. TCM's current "censorship," "telling people what to think," and "shaming" of classic films is compared to McCarthyism, which is "un-American, immoral, insulting, and off-putting." The commentator urges viewers to curate their own collections of classic movies before the "Woke Nazis" have eliminated hard copies and replaced them with digital versions that may be censored.

National Review: The Corner: It’s Okay to Want to Lose Weight
Clinical trials of oral semaglutide show promising results for weight loss. Two studies reveal that a 50 mg dosage was most effective at reducing body weight for those with type 2 diabetes. Safety concerns were minimal. However, obesity experts are concerned weight-loss medication contributes to society's obsession with thinness and disordered eating. Despite these claims, anti-obesity culture may be seen as beneficial for reducing morbidity and mortality.
