California mother facing multiple charges in death of 7-month-old daughter
A California woman, Mayra Rodriguez-Garcia, has been charged with murder, torture and child abuse causing death after allegedly killing her 7-month-old daughter. Police were called to the residence and found the infant not breathing, and after CPR was performed, she was pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigations showed trauma consistent with child abuse leading authorities to believe that Rodriguez-Garcia was responsible for her child's death.
