Red State: Republicans Head off Biden Invoking Powers to Declare 'Climate Emergency'
Republicans Head off Biden Invoking Powers to Declare 'Climate Emergency'
Republican lawmakers have introduced “The Real Emergencies Act” to bar President Joe Biden from declaring a “national climate emergency” and invoking emergency powers allowed by the National Emergencies Act, the Disaster Relief and Emergencies Act, and the Public Health Service. Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX) stated, “Our legislation ensures that President Biden does not abuse the power of his office to pursue his anti-American energy agenda against the will of the American people”. The move is an attempt to curb Biden's ability to use executive orders and gain further powers while ignoring pressing issues troubling the American people, such as soaring inflation and record-high energy costs.

The US Republicans have proposed the “Real Emergencies Act”, aimed at preventing President Joe Biden from declaring a “national climate emergency” while Democrats call for climate change to be given national emergency status. Republicans argue that a “national climate emergency” is not an emergency of the sort that, under the National Emergencies Act, will grant President Biden emergency powers to advance his anti-American energy agenda. The bill comes at a critical time when the Biden administration proposes regulations to make every vehicle on American roads electric by 2032. Opposition to such legislation is rising since less than 25% of Americans plan to buy electric vehicles.

Sigh: CBS’s Brennan Presses Congresswoman on Abortion...From the Left
Anchor Margaret Brennan questioned Congresswoman Veronica Escobar about why the Democrats failed to protect abortion access when they had full control of Congress in the past. Escobar argued that the Republican party was to blame for the lack of progress in abortion rights. Brennan then suggested a middle ground proposed by Nikki Haley to rule out late-term abortions, ensure access to contraception, and rule out women who seek abortions from receiving the death penalty. Escobar did not commit to any limitations on abortion. The interview ended with a discussion on the importance of the upcoming 2024 election for abortion rights.

Journalists somehow have lost all curiosity when questioning Democrats and fake Republicans
Interviews with politicians rarely touch upon Biden's legal issues, unlike those of Trump. Sample questions for Democrats and fake Republicans on Biden's potential mishandling of classified documents and the varying treatment of political figures under different investigations could include Biden's alleged mishandling of classified documents, Hillary's obstruction of justice, and alleged Russian collusion. Additionally, Facebook mogul Mark Zuckerberg reportedly committed election bribery when targeting get-out-the-vote funds. The media has not thoroughly investigated these legal issues, potentially due to colluding with Democrats.

PJ Media: Climate Change Kooks Are Coming After Wood and Coal-Fired Pizza Now
Climate Change Kooks Are Coming After Wood and Coal-Fired Pizza Now
NYC pizzerias with traditional baking methods may be forced to reduce carbon emissions by 75% due to new environmental regulations. The proposed rule would require pizzerias with wood and coal-fired ovens to buy expensive emission-control devices, impacting fewer than 100 restaurants. While an advisory committee of restaurateurs helped draft the proposed rule, some pizzeria owners are opposed to the mandate, claiming it's an unfunded mandate that would destroy the taste of pizza and cost them a fortune. Restaurants have the option to seek a variance or waiver, but they must provide compelling evidence demonstrating a hardship to justify an exception.

They're Going After The Pizza: New NYC Emissions Rules Targeting City's Woodfire Pizzerias
NYC's Department of Environmental Protection proposes a new regulation that requires coal-and-wood-fired ovens in pizzerias to reduce their carbon emissions by up to 75%. The department claims these guidelines will improve air quality in neighborhoods with poor pollution levels while some pizzeria owners argue that the costly emission control devices required would not only be a financial burden but also compromise the authentic taste of their beloved pies. The proposed regulations are an extension of Local 38 of 2015, and Elon Musk chimed in, calling it "utter bs" regarding its impact on climate change. ( )

Breitbart: Wagner's Prigozhin Resurfaces: Moscow Mutiny a 'Master Class’ on Invading Ukraine
Wagner's Prigozhin Resurfaces: Moscow Mutiny a 'Master Class’ on Invading Ukraine
Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner mercenary organization, denied intentions of overthrowing Russian leader Vladimir Putin or the government, but rather claiming to have only being defending the organization. The march was triggered by an order from Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to dissolve all private military contractors in Ukraine, which included Wagner. Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko halted Prigozhin's push towards Moscow and made an agreement to keep Wagner intact and offer Prigozhin sanctuary in Belarus. Prigozhin also claimed that Wagner did not kill any Russian soldiers on the ground during the 780-kilometer march to Moscow, but killed Russian pilots in the air, including six helicopters and a fixed-wing airborne command post. Prigozhin suggested that there were security problems throughout the entire country of Russia.

Wagner Chief Prigozhin Denies Attempting A Coup In First Comments Since Stunning Rebellion
The leader of Russia's Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has said that the recent armed rebellion was not an attempt to overthrow the government, but a response to being attacked. However, a report from the BBC said that the Wagner leader added that the group objected to a decision to close the private military firm on 1 July and incorporate it into Russia's defence ministry. The group fought alongside Russian troops in Ukraine and has assisted Russian-backed regimes in the Middle East and Africa for years. Prigozhin and Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly agreed to stop the rebellion, with Prigozhin moving to Belarus as part of the deal.

After Wagner Mercenary Uprising, Christie Says Ukraine War 'Closer to a Resolution'
Former NJ Gov. Chris Christie says supporting Ukraine against Russia could help counter communist China’s hegemonic ambition, which he believes is funding Russia's war through oil purchases. He argued that US aid to Ukraine would strengthen the country and show that America stood by its principles and friends, adding that Putin's weakness is now clear. China has previously remained silent about the crisis in Russia and has now expressed support for Russia, stating that it supports Russia in “maintaining its national stability and achieving development and prosperity.” The situation has led US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to suggest that cracks are emerging in Putin's power, though he does not believe that the final act has been seen.

The Art of the Deal, Russian Style
Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder of PMC Wagner, was once a violent felon who had a hand in many businesses including catering and was reportedly known as Putin's chef. He formed his mercenary army with recruits from Russia's prison population and helped Putin's army in Ukraine. Prigozhin fell out with Putin's top military men, leading to a brief show of force dubbed a coup. Wagner forces marched up to Moscow but the coup later collapsed, with Prigozhin claiming he had struck a deal with Putin to cease and desist. Spectator USA: Prigozhin offers a worrying glimpse into Russia’s future
Prigozhin offers a worrying glimpse into Russia’s future
Yevgeny Prigozhin's rebellion against Russian leaders has brought the nation's political future into question. His march in Rostov revealed what politics could look like after Putin leaves office. Those who greeted the Wagnerites with refreshments showed that the fighters were perceived as ordinary people like themselves which speaks to Prigozhin's perceived authenticity in Russia. Prigozhin forced Putin to defend the disliked corrupt elites by tapping into anti-elitism and nationalism, making him unsuitable for the role of muzhik-in-chief. The uprising stemmed from the poor handling of the war on Ukraine, and revealed that Russians implicitly understand what motivated it. The future for both Prigozhin and his supporters as well as his enemies is uncertain, but the damage to Russia's political future has been done.

The Corner: Is Russia in Danger of Becoming a Chinese Vassal?
A group of mercenaries led by Yevgeny Prigozhin attempted a coup in Russia but negotiated a truce, leaving the whole affair shrouded in mystery. China, Russia's strategic partner, released a statement expressing support for Russia's national stability, but its continued calls for peace in Ukraine suggest discomfort with Russia's mismanagement of the war. The partnership between China and Russia may be temporary and increasingly unstable, with China seeking greater concessions from its newfound vassal, potentially leaving Russia vulnerable to further Chinese involvement in its affairs.

Washington Reverses Trump Policy on Funding Research in West Bank Settlements
The Biden administration has ceased the funding of research in Israeli neighborhoods in the West Bank, causing discord with Israel's foreign minister Eli Cohen stating his disagreement. The Trump administration lifted the ban on funding research in Israeli areas of the West Bank in October 2020, welcoming scientific and academic cooperation between Israel and the United States, a move that drew Cruz's criticism of the Biden administration of being discriminatory against Jews. David Friedman, ex-President Trump's ambassador to Israel, also accused Biden's actions as partaking in the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign against Israel. The move comes as the administration has criticized Israel's construction of neighborhoods in the West Bank.

Nikki Haley says Biden, Harris ‘asleep at the switch’ after attempted Russian coup
Nikki Haley criticized President Biden and Vice President Harris for being "asleep at the switch" after the attempted coup in Russia. Haley urged swift action and suggested sending vital supplies to Ukraine. The Wagner Group temporarily took control of Russian military bases and began a march toward Moscow, but eventually came to an agreement with the Kremlin. Antony Blinken stated that the situation was an internal Russian matter and that it could potentially benefit Ukraine as Moscow had to focus on defending itself.

The Economist: Why Britain must end its use of short sentences
Why Britain must end its use of short sentences
Britain locks up too many people for short periods of time, leading to overcrowded, violent prisons and few opportunities for rehabilitation. Short sentences are given to non-violent, low-level, repeat offenders often with drug, alcohol, or mental health problems. These short stints make their lives more turbulent and prisons more chaotic, while providing little benefit to society. The government should reduce the use of short sentences and focus on community sentences that mandate treatment for underlying issues.

Britons enjoy agricultural shows because they offer an escape from city life and a chance to connect with rural traditions. The shows also provide opportunities to see exotic animals and sample local products.

Indonesia police probe drug regulator over cough syrup linked to 200 child deaths
Indonesian police are investigating whether officials at the country's food and drugs agency committed criminal wrongdoing, amid links between tainted cough syrups and over 200 children's deaths. The World Health Organisation is investigating the global pharmaceutical supply chain to find other syrups containing toxic industrial-grade chemicals. Last year, police arrested and charged eight individuals at Indonesian companies, which imported and distributed raw materials to drug makers, whose cough syrups contained the chemicals. BPOM has said the problem arose as parties "exploited a gap in the safety guarantee system" and pharmaceutical companies did not check the raw ingredients they were using.

The Epoch Times: Water and Homeopathy: Discoveries at Science's Cutting Edge
Water and Homeopathy: Discoveries at Science's Cutting Edge
A major research conference at London’s Royal Society of Medicine confirmed the therapeutic effects of extremely small doses of homeopathic medicines. Two Nobel Prize-winning scientists and esteemed researchers presented evidence that medicinal agents not only persist in water, but they retain therapeutic effects in these nanodoses. Homeopathic medicines have been found effective in a number of studies published in respected medical journals in the past, with various systematic reviews or meta-analyses concluding homeopathic medicines are different from placebos. A groundbreaking conference titled “New Horizons in Water Science–The Evidence for Homeopathy?” held at the Royal Society of Medicine, focused on the biological and physical actions of homeopathic medicines and plain ordinary water. Biomolecules can "communicate" over distance, causing interactions best described by quantum theory and electromagnetic signaling. Tiny "clumps" of dissolved substances remain in homeopathic dilutions, which are biologically active. Furthermore, various analytical techniques can be used to track these nanoassociates, which affect water in many ways that make it different from pure water. Homeopathy has now been proven to have significant biological effects.

Iraqi residents turn to natural remedies as health care becomes unaffordable
Economic hardship in Iraq has forced citizens to turn to traditional herbal remedies as they struggle to afford conventional medicines. Iraq's healthcare system was once one of the best in the Middle East, but has been destroyed by conflict, sanctions, and corruption. Although public medical services are free, a lack of equipment and services mean citizens often turn to the more expensive private sector. Iraq's national centre for herbal medicine has seen more herbal centres open in recent years, with 460 establishments now permitted to sell herbal medicines. However, replacing medical prescriptions with herbal products can be dangerous without proper administration.

The university alleges that the elements were destroyed when temperatures inside the freezer raised to -25.6 degrees in September 2020. The janitor turned off the circuit breakers supplying power to the freezer after becoming annoyed about an incessantly beeping alarm, despite a sign on the freezer's door detailing how to mute the alarm.
