The Epoch Times: Companies Should Focus on Their Products, Not Preach ESG to the Public
Companies are increasingly subscribing to ESG to promote sustainability and corporate social responsibility, but some have used it as an excuse for political activity and unrealistic goals. The United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development has boosted the ESG framework, which includes non-financial accountability indicators. However, some critics argue that some companies are demonising coal and gas despite them being reliable options that could lower electricity prices. This could change companies' missions and drive away traditional bases, such as members of political parties and religious institutions.
Some companies are embracing political correctness codes, promoting the "cancel culture" movement, and condoning critical race theory in schools and universities, which could infringe on people's right to express their opinions freely. Big businesses and sporting organisations support many social issues, like marriage equality and transgender inclusion, which could cause political upheaval. The pursuit of government referendums, such as the Voice referendum, which aims to entrench certain indigenous people in the constitution, has divided Australia based on race. These actions could drive away stakeholders and members of these companies and institutions, including the Liberal Party and religious denominations.

Netanyahu is facing three separate cases, two of which involve charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.

The Epoch Times: High Court Dismisses Russia's Attempts to Stop Australia Taking Back Embassy Land
The High Court of Australia has dismissed a legal challenge by the Russian government to prevent Australia from revoking leased land in Canberra, intended for the building of a larger embassy. The move came after Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese cited national security concerns, claiming it was clear there was a risk posed by Russia if a new facility was built near Parliament House. The Russian government initially sought an injunction against legislation passed on June 15 to revoke the leased land, but Justice Jayne Jagot said there were no legal grounds for such a move.
