Fox News: Nancy Pelosi endorses term limits for Supreme Court Justices
Rep. Pelosi supports term limits for Supreme Court justices and suggests a "discussion" about court packing during an interview with MSNBC's Jen Psaki. She also calls for ethical rules and criticizes Justices Thomas and Alito for their behavior. Pelosi asserts that abortion is a winning issue for Democrats and helped the party in the 2022 elections. She argues that the Roe decision should be overturned and Congress has the right to do so.
Breitbart: VR Pioneer Palmer Luckey Destroys Bloomberg Reporter over Media Bias
Palmer Luckey, founder of the VR industry and Anduril Industries, criticized the media for their bias after reporters questioned his political affiliations, which led to him being ostracized from Facebook. The media targeted Palmer for his support for Donald Trump in 2016, accusing him of spreading fake news and fabricating stories. Palmer called the media out on their lies and hypocrisy against tech founders, stating that his company's main focus is bipartisan technology.
National Review: The Corner: Bettors Are Bearish on Trump’s Electability
A combination of two election-betting markets suggests that Ron DeSantis holds a 60% chance of winning the general election if nominated by the Republican Party, compared to Donald Trump's 37% chance. Historically, presidential elections have relied on "fundamentals" such as economic growth and foreign affairs, rather than candidate quality. However, the significant gap between DeSantis and Trump in the betting markets suggests that the market does not view Trump as a candidate with broad enough appeal to win a general election in many environments in which DeSantis would. Republican voters must choose whether to follow the market or the traditional fundamentals model.

Fox News: Germany is prepared to send 4,000 troop to Lithuania in effort to strengthen NATO's eastern flank
Germany will send 4,000 troops to Lithuania permanently to strengthen NATO's eastern flank in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine and its threats to NATO countries. Infrastructure and facilities will be created to accommodate soldiers and their families. The move is not only because of Russia's war on Ukraine, but also because of Germany's own history, when it was the country on NATO’s eastern flank. Lithuania welcomed the announcement and wants to build up needed infrastructure by 2026. NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg praised Germany's leadership in supporting the organization's collective defense strategy.

The Epoch Times: Deepening Mystery of South Africa’s 'Militia' on Peace Mission to Ukraine
A delegation of African leaders traveled to Russia and Ukraine for peace talks, but controversy erupted when South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in Warsaw with over 100 security personnel and weapons. Poland, a supporter of Ukraine and the West, refused the large entourage entry, citing a lack of necessary permits. Ramaphosa proceeded to Kyiv with just two armed guards, while his security detail and weapons remained behind. The peace talks failed, with both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin rejecting the African leaders' proposals. The incident has raised questions about South Africa's ties to Russia, and the ANC government's organizational abilities.

The Epoch Times: Quality of New Vehicles in US Declining on More Tech Use, Study Shows
New vehicles in the US since 2021 have lower quality, with basic parts such as door handles and cupholders becoming problematic due to increased use of technology and lower build quality. J.D. Power's 2023 US Initial Quality Study found that almost every category except driving experience has seen an increase in problems, with infotainment systems and features, controls, and displays being the most problematic. Quality ratings for Tesla increased by 31 PP100, to 257 PP100, a year-on-year increase of 30 PP100, although it was not officially ranked. The most problematic models were battery electric vehicles with electronic touchpoint-designed door handles, causing charging pads to frequently overheat and not deliver a charge.

Forbes: 2023 Layoff Tracker: Goldman Sachs Reportedly Cutting Managing Directors
Goldman Sachs is reportedly letting go of 125 managing directors, most of whom are in its investment banking division. Daily Wire: Woke BlackRock CEO Admits DeSantis Hurt BlackRock When He Pulled $2 Billion In Funds
BlackRock CEO Larry Fink admitted that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis did damage to his firm when DeSantis pulled $2 billion in assets managed by BlackRock from the firm in 2022. In early December 2022, Florida CFO announced the pullback from BlackRock. DeSantis joined the trustees of Florida’s Board of Administration to direct fund managers to invest state funds without considering the ideological agenda of the environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) movement.
BlackRock attacked DeSantis and his state in a statement saying, “As a fiduciary, everything we do is with the sole goal of driving returns for our clients. … We are disturbed by the emerging trend of political initiatives like this that sacrifice access to high-quality investments and thereby jeopardize returns, which will ultimately hurt Florida’s citizens.”South Carolina, Louisiana, and Missouri also pulled funds from BlackRock in 2022. BlackRock was downgraded by UBS analyst Brennan Hawken, which slashed the target stock price from $700 to $585, based on environmental pressure to earnings and risk from the firm’s ESG positioning.
The Epoch Times: Will Switching Car Insurance Companies Give You a Better Deal?
Car insurance rates have increased by 14 percent from 2020 to 2023 due to pandemic-related factors such as an increase in car prices, causing many drivers to switch insurers. To get the best deal, drivers should get multiple quotes online and consider factors such as better coverage and discounts before switching. Car insurers also check credit scores, so improving credit can lead to lower rates except in Hawaii, California, and Massachusetts. Drivers can reduce their insurance bills by finding discounts for safety equipment, anti-theft devices, and good driving records. However, they should be aware of discount caps and cancellation fees when switching insurers.
The Epoch Times: ANALYSIS: India Embraces Opportunity as Multinational Companies Shift Production out of China
India is benefiting from "derisking" away from China, with 88% of surveyed CEOs preferring India over China due to Chinese Communist Party's growing geopolitical aggressiveness and rising costs. The global trend for countries to prioritize established partners is prompting multinational corporations to actively explore options like India to mitigate supply chain risk. With its world-leading population and huge market, India is proactively attracting foreign companies to invest in the country and foster growth in its manufacturing sector. The United States and Taiwan have seen more companies moving their production to India, with both countries expediting diversification away from China.
National Review: Net Zero and Class Conflict
Net zero policies aimed at Western countries will have a damaging effect on economic growth in ways that can't be blamed on other factors. Governments implementing this policy will face significant political turmoil, with the Netherlands already experiencing unrest due to environmental rules negatively impacting Dutch farmers. In Germany, the rise in the polls of the far-right AfD is partially attributed to their support for nuclear power and more pragmatic energy policy as the German economy enters a recession with high energy bills. This will cause turmoil in the automobile sector as the rush to switch to electric vehicles opens up the European market to Chinese competition, inevitably leading to job losses.
The Epoch Times: Here’s What the USDA Revealed to the American People About Future Food Shortages

Red State: Paramount+ Is Erasing Another Woke Series As Streaming Services No Longer Have the Luxury of Agenda-Driven Content
Paramount+ cancels "Rise of the Pink Ladies," a prequel to the movie "Grease," due to poor performance. Mixed-race casting, modern social causes, and same-sex relationships were injected into the musical series, but did not fit with the anachronisms and source material of the early 1950s setting. This cancellation reflects the reality of the heavily competitive streaming landscape, with services settling into an environment of economic realities and consolidation. The tough times mean less flexibility and tolerance for underperforming shows that fail to justify long-term payouts.

The Epoch Times: Weight-Loss Surgery May Weaken Bones of Adolescents and Young Adults: Study
Weight-loss surgeries may have negative effects on bone density and strength in young adults, according to a study of 54 participants aged around 18 years. The trial included 25 people who had undergone sleeve gastrectomy and who experienced substantial weight loss. They had displayed weaker bone structure after bariatric surgery, compared to counterparts with similar levels of obesity who did not undergo surgery but received dietary and exercise counseling. Researchers found bone strength was lower two years after weight-loss surgery, while bone marrow fat was increased, a marker for weaker bones. Addressing obesity is important, but doctors should consider irreversible surgeries like gastrectomy carefully, the study's authors said.

Fox News: Mistress of dentist who shot wife on African safari learns fate in murder cover-up
Dentist Lawrence Rudolph murdered his wife on an African safari trip in 2016 and his mistress, Lori Milliron, was sentenced to 17 years in prison for her role in helping Rudolph cover up the crime. Milliron, Rudolph's dental assistant-turned-mistress, was convicted on two counts of perjury, being an accessory to a murder after the fact and obstructing a grand jury by helping Rudolph. While the defense plans to appeal the verdict, Anabianca “Ana” Rudolph, the couple's daughter, called Milliron out during the sentencing, stating, "Lori, you have taken my parents."
Fox News: Colorado Springs Club Q 'nonbinary' shooting suspect pleads guilty to murder charges
The suspect in the 2022 Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs, Anderson Lee Aldrich, pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder charges during an arraignment hearing, thereby avoiding a public trial. Aldrich agreed to a plea deal of a life sentence without the possibility of parole in exchange for pleading guilty to five counts of first-degree murder and 46 counts of attempted murder. Law enforcement testified earlier that Aldrich ran a neo-Nazi website and used gay and racial slurs while gaming online, though the defense countered that Aldrich's mother had forced Aldrich to frequent LGBTQ+ clubs. The Justice Department is considering pursuing federal hate crime charges.
Aldrich reportedly hinted at carrying out violent attacks at least one year before the Club Q assault. Aldrich's grandparents told authorities that they were warned not to stand in the way of a plan to stockpile guns, ammo, body armor, and a homemade bomb to become "the next mass killer." Charges against Aldrich were thrown out in July 2022 after Aldrich's mother and grandparents refused to cooperate with prosecutors. Aldrich was released from jail after his arrest, and authorities kept two guns seized in the arrest. However, there was nothing to stop Aldrich from legally purchasing more firearms, raising questions immediately after the shooting about whether authorities should have sought a red flag order to prevent such purchases.

Forbes: Could Dean Henderson Make A Dramatic Return To Manchester United?
Manchester United are uncertain about the future of goalkeeper David De Gea, whose contract expires at the end of this week. United have reached out to goalkeepers across Europe, including Brentford’s David Raya, Porto’s Diogo Costa and Inter Milan’s Andre Onana, who played under United manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax. The Red Devils already have an international goalkeeper with Premier League experience in Dean Henderson, but his future at the club also remains uncertain, and he may be sold if De Gea fails to sign a new contract.
Two years ago, previous United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had made Henderson the first choice goalkeeper for the 2021-22 season before he was ruled out with Covid-19. De Gea returned to form and Henderson was limited to one appearance in the Champions League and one in the FA Cup. Henderson was given a chance in the spring of 2021, starting eight consecutive Premier League games, but he was only solid, rather than spectacular. De Gea’s uninspiring performance in the 2021 Europa League final saw Solskjaer turn to Henderson before he contracted Covid-19. It is understood Henderson, who spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, has moved on from United in his own mind, and may return to Forest or be sold to make way for a new goalkeeper.

Duval Street in Key West, Florida is heavily influenced by Cuban culture and is best known for its vibrant nightlife, beaches, watersports, and architecture. While it is generally safe to walk during the day and night, it can be crowded and may attract pickpockets. Visitors might want to avoid it altogether and explore less crowded areas for better food and prices. Duval Street is a tourist trap with vendors selling cheap souvenirs and partying that never stops. Additionally, many establishments are adult-only after 9 p.m., and it can be challenging to find places to go with kids. The Navy and the Department of Justice are currently facing 12 lawsuits due to the contamination.
