Daily Wire: Trump Blasts Biden And EV Industry In Michigan Speech: ‘Going To Decimate Your Jobs’
Trump speaks against Biden's "environmental extremism" in Oakland County to Republicans, warning that EV regulations will kill more than half of U.S. auto jobs and decimate the suppliers, particularly in Michigan. Biden wants to electrify 67% of all U.S. commercial passenger vehicles by 2032 with tax credits for EV purchases. Ford and GM have moved toward EV manufacturing, and Trump touted the importance of focusing on American factories with American workers. Trump leads Republican presidential primary polls for 2024, despite indictments against him in Manhattan and Miami.
The Federalist Papers: Two House Republicans Seek to Make History - And Kevin McCarthy Supports It
Two Republican members of the House seek to erase the House's two impeachment votes against former President Donald Trump, with the support of House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. The resolutions were put forth by Republican Reps. Elise Stefanik of New York and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia. Stefanik’s resolution focuses on Trump’s 2021 impeachment and calls it an unconstitutional exercise in "futility, moot and fantastical political theater". Greene’s resolution targets Trump’s 2019 impeachment and says he was wrongfully impeached, as evidenced by an unverified FD-1023 FBI document. The historic move already has powerful support in the House from McCarthy and the Republicans.
Fox News: DeSantis unveils border security plan to 'stop the invasion'; blasts Biden and jabs at Trump
Ron DeSantis, the Florida Governor and a Republican presidential candidate, unveiled his border security plan in Texas, where he pledged to build a "wall" and hold drug cartels accountable. He criticized the Biden administration for being the "critical link" in human smuggling syndicate, while vowing to stop illegal immigration. He also claimed that he would work with different states to ensure law enforcement and secure the US-Mexico border.
The Epoch Times: Supreme Court Throws out Louisiana's Appeal, Making Way for New Congressional Map
The U.S. Supreme Court dismissed appeals from Louisiana Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin, after state officials were sued last year over a congressional map passed by Republicans in the state legislature. The plaintiffs claimed the Republican-drawn map packed black voters into a single district, creating only one congressional district where black voters were a majority, in violation of the federal Voting Rights Act of 1965. The ruling could open the door to the creation of a second minority opportunity congressional district in Louisiana. The Supreme Court is expected to issue rulings in a series of major cases before its term ends in the coming days, including another redistricting case that concerns a North Carolina congressional map.
Flag And Cross: Biden’s Got a Big Problem in Early Primary States: 'That's the Line for RFK Jr.'
President Biden's decision to move the Democratic nomination process to South Carolina may have come back to haunt him, as it could hand the New Hampshire primary to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. RFK Jr. has been gaining support, polling at 14% compared to Biden's 64% in RealClearPolitics's polling aggregate. This shift in support could be because of Biden's move to South Carolina, taking away New Hampshire's "first-in-the-nation" status, a state that is still unwilling to give up their status. If New Hampshire decides to go ahead of schedule, Biden may not participate, giving RFK Jr. a chance to shine.

Fox News: Condoleezza Rice disputes claims that Putin 'staged' Russia rebellion: 'Exploded his myth' about Ukraine
Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice doubts Russian President Vladimir Putin "staged" the attempted rebellion, suggesting it would give him "too much credit". She reasons that dictators depend on the appearance of being invincible and the absence of alternatives, qualities that Putin no longer possesses. To her, Yevgeny Prigozhin's statements that the war in Ukraine was unnecessary and has killed many Russians are the most damaging aspects of the retreat of the Wagner group.
John Sullivan, the former US ambassador to Russia, sees the Wagner Group's retreat and the truce brokered with Putin as evidence of Putin's weakness. Sullivan sees Putin's dependence on Belarus President Lukashenko as a sign of his weakness, as Belarus is part of a union state with Russia. He asks, "what strong leader does that?" Yevgeny Prigozhin, owner of the Wagner Group and longtime Putin confidant, agreed to go into Belarusian exile after staging apparent insurrection. Sullivan also called the Wagner Group a "corrupt organization" and Prigozhin a felon.

Human Events: Former Trump official Ric Grenell secures release of Kosovar
police officers in Serbia, de-escalates tensions
Former Trump official Richard Grenell helped secure the release of three police officers from Kosovo, who were detained by Serbia earlier this month. Grenell, who had also served as US ambassador to Germany, went to North Mitrovica to help de-escalate the situation. Recent clashes in Kosovo occurred after the police had seized local municipality buildings, which led to the officers' detention. This dispute threatened peace in the area, which saw a war in 1998-99 that killed over 10,000 people .
PJ Media: What the Hell Just Happened in Russia?
Yevgeny Prigozhin, the former Putin ally and Wagner Group mercenary chief, led a brief mutiny against senior Russian military leaders, demanding the removal of the defense minister. However, Putin and the defense minister both remained in power, and Prigozhin now faces exile in Belarus. Despite the mutiny being seen as a miscalculation, some speculate that Prigozhin's ultimate goal was to keep control of Wagner and secure his own hide. It remains unclear why Prigozhin stood down just when it looked like he was on the verge of success, but there is wild speculation that he may have captured a nuclear storage facility and could now be a nuclear power.

Breitbart: J.D. Vance's Amendment to Prevent Megabank Consolidation Advances
Sen. J.D. Vance's amendment to prevent megabank consolidations has advanced out of the Senate Banking Committee . The RECOUP Act addresses executive accountability following recent bank failures and strengthens certain existing authorities regarding senior executives. Vance proposed amendment , which would seek to close a loophole to ensure that a megabank can only purchase a failing bank if it is the only viable bid to avoid a failure of the distressed financial institution. This is to avoid the concentration of banks in the hands of a few megabanks that would threaten the regional banking system and burden small and mid-size banks. The Independent Community Bankers of America backed Vance’s amendment, saying it is a simple and commonsense policy for limiting mega-concentration of deposits and creating even greater too-big-to-fail moral hazard in our banking system.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Egypt's highest honor during his state visit to Cairo and the two countries declared their partnership as "strategic." They agreed to increase cooperation and elevate trade to $12 billion annually in five years. Both nations have deep ties dating back to the 1950s and have resisted Western pressure to condemn the Russian war in Ukraine. The governments also signed agreements in agriculture, archaeology, competition law and antiquities, and Modi invited Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi to the Group of 20 summit that India will host in September.

Red State: Blackrock CEO Larry Fink Cries Uncle on ESG, Blames Ron DeSantis
BlackRock CEO Larry Fink is upset that Florida's Ron DeSantis hurt his company's brand of ESG and pulled out $2 billion in assets from the firm, and is now backing away from the debate because of the negative connotation. ESG is an insidious collusion scheme by top-level investors that seeks to cram down social engineering on companies through the threat of withholding capital, a backdoor for unelected elites to exert incredible influence over the world’s population by promoting far-left ideals. DeSantis and others have illuminated ESG as a major issue in the minds of many, making the left squirm and have to change its strategy.

Fox News: Churches across Europe repurposed for nightclubs and hotels as attendance shrinks to stunning lows
Churches across Europe are being abandoned and converted into entertainment venues as Christianity declines on the continent. Only 55% of Belgians still follow the religion, while just 10% attend church services regularly. Many of the empty churches have been converted into hotels, cafes, and nightclubs, with 350 churches across Flanders being repurposed in an effort to eliminate eye soars and reduce municipal costs. Mechelen Mayor Bart Somers said, "we have a brewery in a church, we have a hotel in a church, we have a cultural center in a church, we have a library in a church." Despite the decline in Christianity, Monsignor Johan Bonny, the Bishop of Antwerp, remains hopeful for a potential rebirth of the faith in Europe.
Human Events: Vatican investigates Texas Bishop Joseph Strickland after leading
Prayer March outside LA Dodgers stadium, social media posts
critical of Pope Francis
The Vatican is investigating Bishop Joseph Strickland over his social media use and diocesan management after he led a protest against The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence outside LA Dodgers. Strickland upholds a strict pro-life stance on abortion and traditional marriage, and is in favor of Latin Mass and Catholic orthodoxy. Among the infractions leading to the investigation are social media posts, including one in which he said Pope Francis is "undermining the Deposit of Faith," but Strickland defended the Pope in another post while stating his disagreement. The reason for the investigation is not known, but the Tyler Texas diocese is reportedly considering a replacement for Strickland, who has overseen a high rate of seminarians seeking to enter the priesthood, and diocesan finances are in good shape.
