American Thinker: Trump, the Constitution, and the Classified Documents Controversy
Legal scholar argues that Trump's mishandling of classified documents indictment is less persuasive than it appears, citing the President's authority over national security powers granted by the Constitution. He notes that previous US presidents have been known to share sensitive intelligence without declassifying it, arguing that the President's decision in this area is ultimately his call. The scholar views Trump's act of intentionally taking classified documents with him in his departure from office as presumptive declassification, but based on information in the indictment, Trump gravely undermined his own case by twice showing visitors marked classified documents and stating he could have declassified them.
Washington Free Beacon: Prepare for Disparate Impact
Heather Mac Donald's new book, When Race Trumps Merit, examines the ideology of "disparate impact," arguing that it is destroying the fundamentals of a fair society. Mac Donald explores three fundamental areas of American life - science and medicine, culture, and the criminal-justice system - and provides evidence that disparate impact analysis is tearing the country apart. The pursuit of "exact racial proportionality" is preventing the achievement of true meritocracy and is evidence of systemic racism. The book serves as a warning of the dangers of unfettered disparate impact analysis.
American Thinker: A Look at Society Shows an Orchestrated Decline
Average Americans are being exploited by a corrupt political system that encourages unethical behavior and rewards narcissism. From sky-high college costs and insurmountable student loan debt to unfair taxation policies that punish the middle class, the system is rigged to benefit the few at the expense of the many. The very institutions that we rely on to preserve the integrity of our democracy have become discredited and untrustworthy, leaving us with a daunting task: to fix a broken process that has robbed us of trust in ourselves and our fellow citizens.

American Thinker: The Unraveling Ukraine Narrative Reveals the Incompetence and Corruption of Western Leadership
The war in Ukraine was orchestrated by the NATO with an out-of-date Cold War mentality and benefits only the military-industrial complex. The West's failed leadership has baited a despot and marched us down the path to nuclear holocaust.
Despite Ukraine's willingness to negotiate an end to the war, the EU negated the idea and provided aid packages for arms, the West rejected all offers, and continues to support the war. The fighting has depleted our weapons supply and threatens our ability to reinforce our allies, while Putin's army fights with superior strategy and tactical skill.

Washington Free Beacon: Occupational Hazards
Dutch writer Ian Buruma's latest book, The Collaborators, examines three individuals who survived World War II by adopting alter egos. Buruma investigates the motivations and actions of these individuals, who were engaged in activities that are largely considered tantamount to collaboration, such as accepting benefits from occupying forces. The author observes that labels such as "collaborator" do not adequately explain or embrace the complexity of these individuals' characteristics and motives. In many cases, their actions were shaped by survival instincts, and their "deceptions" often served to reinforce self-preservation efforts.

Forbes: Liverpool FC’s Jurgen Klopp Embarks Faces His First Rebuild
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is faced with rebuilding another great team, as many of his stalwarts are past their prime. The famous 'Fab Four' forward line of Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah has been steadily dismantled, while Virgil Van Dijk and Fabinho are starting to show their age. Klopp must now rebuild a team that can replicate Liverpool's previous success, with significant changes expected in the coming years.
Klopp has always maintained a high-energy game based on winning the ball back from the opponent high up the field. However, Liverpool's recent season reveals that Klopp's system is not working anymore. While trying to evolve the style, additions like Thiago Alcantara have never really fit. Klopp needs time to make the necessary changes to the team and build a new iconic side. Klopp's seven-year itch has already started, and Liverpool fans hope their beloved manager can lead them to future glory.

Washington Free Beacon: Any Major Dude Will Tell You Steely Dan Rocks (in a Creepy, Jazzy Kind of Way)
Steely Dan, the 1970s American rock band, may be polarizing but it endures in what Alex Pappademas calls a Danaissance, as younger Americans are primed for the group’s "unreliable narrators and unlikable protagonists." Unlike other rock bands in the 1970s, Steely Dan's sound was refined, pushing critics to see it as too fussy and sterile. Quantum Criminals: Ramblers, Wild Gamblers, and Other Sole Survivors from the Songs of Steely Dan by Alex Pappademas and Joan LeMay delves into the band's members and the characters from their songs, addressing themes and influences, including groups that sampled their music, so merciless in its own right, and musicians who were influenced by the band, highlighting the song's ethical dilemmas and moral dynamics.
The Epoch Times: Beijing Enters Systemic and Opaque ‘Involution’
China's unemployment rate for youth aged 16-24 hit a record high of 20.8% in May, exacerbated by the record-breaking 11.58 million graduates this year. The phenomenon of "involution," where fierce competition results in scarce rewards and strips away the rights and interests of most people, has become popular on Chinese social media. Many believe it is a tactic of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to force people into long hours of labor-intensive, low-paying jobs and accept the difficulties as their fate. The pressure on the job market is unprecedented, and resources are limited at the bottom of society. The competition for good-paying jobs is like a pyramid, with too many graduates competing for a very small number of available positions. The CCP is reluctant to work with the West, and the trade orders are fewer, which is driving the economy in China. The involution is even worse for governmental workers, and many police are forced to take early retirement.
