The Epoch Times: How the Internet Has Encouraged Bad Behavior—Especially in Females
"Ghosting" is costing the US retail industry $2.4bn p.a. Analysts at SOCi, Inc. have recently published a report outlining the huge financial cost of the practice, which results in over half of all customers being cut off when they give feedback, ask questions or leave reviews. A product of recency bias, ghosting is viewed as a form of relational aggression which triggers feelings of vulnerability and doubt. The practice, which causes real psychological harm, is predominately carried out by women, who for the past couple of decades have been increasingly behaving in ways that were once the preserve of males. It's suggested that anonymity and impersonal online environments play a part; alcoholism, tattoos, video game addiction, and intimate partner violence are all increasing among women.

Fox News: Blinken: Wagner march raises 'profound questions' as 'more cracks emerge in the Russian façade'
Wagner chief Yevgeniy Prigozhin's attempted march on Moscow was halted by an agreement brokered by Belarus, but Secretary of State Antony Blinken insists that this is an internal Russian matter. He added that this challenge could benefit Ukraine's counteroffensive, as Russia focuses on defending itself. While this is an added chapter to a very bad book that Putin has written for Russia, Blinken noted that this entire chapter is an internal matter and it's not the US's purpose to choose Russia's leaders.
Flag And Cross: Russian Mercenaries Retreat To Avoid Bloodshed Near Moscow
Russian mercenary fighters from the Wagner militia, led by Yevgeny Prigozhin, have agreed to retreat to avoid further bloodshed, de-escalating a potential threat to President Putin's hold on power. Putin's aircraft taking off from Moscow had sparked rumors that he had fled the country, but his spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, denied the claims, saying Putin had been working at the Kremlin. Putin had earlier ordered his military to act against Wagner fighters in Rostov, warning of "inevitable punishment" for those involved.

National Review: The Corner: Brutal Maniac Fails to Depose Other Brutal Maniac
The recent failed coup in Russia raises questions about Putin's control over the state. The coup was led by Yevgeniy Prigozhin, a figure known for his involvement in deniable Russian black ops and the Internet Research Agency. The fact that Prigozhin, a crazed maniac, was willing to attempt a coup against Putin raises concerns about the stability of Russia and its leaders. Russian leaders feel threatened and seek to avert these threats by taking a bellicose stance towards their neighbors and the West. A weaker Russia may not necessarily be a more stable Russia.

The development of oGate has led to the arrest of several Falun Gong practitioners, with the intention of suppressing the practice.

PJ Media: Sunday Thoughts: The Danger of 'You Do You'
The "you do you" trend in our culture can turn into a license to sin, warns Brett McCracken at Crossway. The Bible reminds us of the dangers of doing things our way, and the consequences of giving in to our selfish and sinful tendencies. "You do you" leads to sin, negates community, and ultimately brings loneliness. Instead, we should trust in the Lord and acknowledge Him in all our ways.

Fox News: Don Lemon touts 'abiding by the Constitution' in first TV interview since firing: 'Journalistic duty'
Don Lemon, former CNN host, gave his first TV interview since being fired, stating that he does not believe in “platforming liars and bigots” on the same footing as those “abiding by the Constitution.” Lemon believes that standing up for the truth is a responsibility of not only a journalist but also an American. He emphasized that it is necessary for journalists to fulfill the promise of the Constitution and stand up for what is right.
Lemon does not want to rush making his next move and will not let others' timelines influence him. He says that it is crucial not to make mistakes by making a quick decision. Lemon stated that he had never been given any indication about his firing from the network where he has worked for the past 17 years and expressed hope that large issues would be addressed. Lemon apologized earlier in the year for his past sexist remarks about a female presidential candidate.
The Epoch Times: One Supreme Court Justice Dissents in Major Illegal Immigration Case
The Supreme Court ruled 8-1 that Louisiana and Texas lacked standing to challenge a Biden administration immigration policy. The ruling clears the way for enforcement guidelines announced by the Department of Homeland Security in 2021. Justice Samuel Alito stood alone in opposing the decision, citing a "major precedent" and accused the Supreme Court of ignoring its "virtually unflagging obligation" to exercise its mandate. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called the decision "outrageous" and vowed to have the National Guard continue to repel and turn back illegal immigrants trying to enter Texas illegally.
Also, in a separate immigration-related decision, the court upheld a section of federal law that is used against people who encourage illegal immigration. The court reinstated the criminal conviction of Helaman Hansen, who offered adult adoptions he falsely claimed would lead to US citizenship. At least 471 people paid Hansen between $550 and $10,000 each, or more than $1.8 million in total, according to the government. The justices rejected an appeals court ruling that the law is too broad and violates the Constitution.
