Fifty-Five Years Ago, We Were Warned
New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison claimed the Warren Commission was wrong and Lee Harvey Oswald was not the lone assassin of JFK. On July 15, 1967, NBC gave him time to explain how Americans are lied to by political and media elites, emphasizing that thought control has no room in America. This is still true today, as censorship and disinformation continue to prevent the American people from accessing the truth.

The Epoch Times: Mexico Imposes 50 Percent Tariff on White Corn Imports Amid Trade Dispute With US and Canada
Mexico Imposes 50 Percent Tariff on White Corn Imports Amid Trade Dispute With US and Canada
Mexico has imposed a 50% tariff on white corn imports to boost national production and prevent imports of genetically modified corn. The tariff is set to remain in force until the end of the year and is part of a broader trade dispute between Mexico and the United States and Canada over the issue of genetically modified corn. Mexico imports some white corn from the United States and South Africa and the tariff goes against the US–Mexico–Canada free trade agreement, potentially complicating the situation further. The government believes the measure will help stimulate local production, despite concerns of the tariff limiting trade in the region.

The American Spectator: Turner Classics Massacre
Turner Classics Massacre
For the last decade, I have only been watching Fox News and Turner Classic Movies on television. However, since Fox fired Tucker Carlson, I have only been watching TCM. Unfortunately, the channel is in danger due to budget cuts by Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav. The cuts have caused numerous high-level TCM officials to depart, but powerful film artists and directors like Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, and Paul Thomas Anderson have issued a joint statement to ensure that TCM's programming remains untouched and protected.

TCM is a unique window on the richness of 20th century America through cinema, showing some of the finest pictures ever made without commercial interruptions. The channel is in danger once again due to the stupidity and ineptitude of corporate executives at the parent company, Warner Bros. The threatened budget cuts have caused significant departures and put the channel at risk. However, powerful film artists and directors have issued a joint statement to protect TCM's programming and ensure its survival.

Front Page Magazine: Dr. Fauci Still Calling the Shots?
Dr. Fauci Still Calling the Shots?
The Biden White House issued mask guidelines for guests, stating that the fully vaccinated are not required to wear masks, while those not vaccinated must. Sen. Rand Paul is demanding to know Dr. Fauci’s current employment status and whether he is still receiving certain taxpayer-funded benefits. Despite colossal failures, he remained at the helm for nearly 40 years and wielded executive-level power during the pandemic. Although he has claimed he was “not retiring in the official sense,” the White House vaccination and mask mandate is evidence that Fauci still calls the shots.

The Epoch Times: NYC Gets $25 Million for E-bike Charging Stations, Seeking to Prevent Deadly Battery Fires
NYC Gets $25 Million for E-bike Charging Stations, Seeking to Prevent Deadly Battery Fires
New York officials have received a $25 million emergency grant to fund charging stations for e-bikes in response to recent fires caused by faulty batteries. Mayor Eric Adams hopes the stations will reduce the risk of accidents posed by delivery workers charging their e-bikes in apartments overnight. This comes after 100 fires in the city linked to e-bikes resulted in 13 deaths this year, with more than double the number of fatalities from last year. Schumer and Gillibrand announced plans to establish safety standards for batteries to prevent accidents in future.

Breitbart: Ex-NBC and CNN Exec Michael Bass Accused of Sexually Assaulting Intern
Ex-NBC and CNN Exec Michael Bass Accused of Sexually Assaulting Intern
Former NBC and CNN executive Michael Bass is being sued by Aarthi Rajaraman, a former intern, who accuses him of sexually assaulting her in 1996 when she was 20. The lawsuit names both NBCUniversal Media and Bass. Rajaraman claims the assault triggered a host of problems for her, including suicidal thoughts, and alleges that Bass “blackballed” her from job opportunities. The lawsuit also purportedly states that NBC was aware that its male employees, “from Matt Lauer down”, were using their positions to sexually harass and assault young female interns.

Rajaraman joined NBC Sports as an intern and covered the Atlanta Olympic Games; she claims she was shocked by the “unchecked culture” at the network among married senior employees targeting younger women. The alleged assault is said to have taken place at Bass’s hotel suite after a recognition dinner for the hard work put in by the NBC team covering the Centennial Olympic Park bombing in July 1996. Bass allegedly offered to let Rajaraman use the bathroom, and when she accepted and thought his family would be present, she says he pinned her to a wall and kissed her forcefully. Rajaraman, who currently works as an editor at Microsoft, is seeking a jury trial and unspecified damages.

Front Page Magazine: The Pride Divide
The Pride Divide
Parents and educators are becoming increasingly concerned about the radical LGBTQ+ agenda being imposed on children in schools across America, with events such as Pride month being force-fed to pupils. The American Federation of Teachers reports that over 525 bills have been introduced in state legislatures relating to the LGBTQ+ community, pushing for trans healthcare bans, supporting trans bathrooms and sports bans, and more. While the Human Rights Campaign has issued a state of emergency for the LGBTQ+ community, citing the high number of bills as a threat to the community. As a result, support for the cause is becoming a social contagion, with more than 24% of high school students now identifying as something other than heterosexual, according to a CDC report. California, in particular, has pushed ahead with the LGBTQ+ agenda, with Assembly Bill 957 allowing parents to lose custody of children who do not agree with their gender identity claims, and Senate Bill 107 permitting minor children to travel to California for trans procedures. Meanwhile, parents' rights are being further eroded at home and in other states across the country, with New York schools now advising against telling parents if children socially transition to the opposite gender, while the Biden administration is expected to provide greater support for those who identify as the opposite sex, including the right to compete in girls' and women's sports and use women's toilets. Parents must now take action to protect their children against the sexual agenda, either by protesting events such as Pride Month or by choosing to home-school or send their kids to private schools.

Breitbart: More than 100 Artists on 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' Quit over Alleged Sweatshop Conditions
More than 100 Artists on 'Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse' Quit over Alleged Sweatshop Conditions
Over 100 digital artists left Sony Pictures' animated sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse due to harsh working conditions, with some blaming producer Phil Lord for the long hours and last minute changes. Artists were reportedly asked to make alterations to already-approved animated sequences, leading to a backlog of work across departments. Lord's editing of fully rendered work instead of cutting scenes caused artists to sit idle for months, then work 11-hour days for seven days a week. The artists claimed that Sony underpaid them, promising overtime pay to make up the difference, which the company denied.

The Epoch Times: Edible Houses Could Soon Be a Reality
Edible Houses Could Soon Be a Reality
A Japanese company has invented a cement made from food waste, including Chinese cabbage, coffee grounds, and seaweed. The cement is four times stronger than conventional concrete and can be flavored, colored, and waterproofed. Although it has not attracted insects or worms, it can be lacquered with chemicals to make it inedible. Fabula Inc., the company behind the invention, hopes to use the cement to create sustainable housing and humanitarian shelters. The cement has biodegradable properties, can be reused, and is in line with Japan's goal of reducing food waste. It is also compatible with natural materials like hay bales and rammed earth, and innovations in using algae-based cement are also being pursued.

Ford Explorer Recall Prompts Transportation Department Investigation
The NHTSA is investigating Ford's recall of over a quarter-million Explorer SUVs due to a rear axle mounting bolt defect that causes the drive shaft to disconnect and the vehicle to roll away. A software update for the electronic parking brake was supposed to fix the problem, but two owners have reported erratic behavior in their vehicles, including sudden stops and lurching while trying to disengage the brake. The incidents only involved 2021 Explorers, and no injuries were reported.
