A pro-life activist's granddaughter reflects on her grandmother's dedication to the cause, including the founding of a guild of pro-life mothers, donations to pro-life charities, and fervent prayer for an end to abortion. Despite a weariness about the possibility of Roe v. Wade being overturned, her grandmother maintained hope. In 2022, the author, now involved in politics, was elated to see the landmark decision overturned, understanding the impact of her grandmother's work and the work of countless other humble pro-life advocates.
Forbes: The Green Movement And Energy Prices: The Theory Of “Effective Pain”
As governments push for clean energy, citizens are feeling the effective pain of higher prices and the banning of gas heating systems and natural gas cooking stoves. The Green movement, focused on ending industrial civilization to combat climate change, is deindustrializing countries like Germany, despite criticism from former government officials. The focus on reducing CO2 emissions has ignored other potential factors affecting climate change, such as Milankovitch cycles, solar activity, and volcanic activity. The theory of effective pain posits that there is a point at which citizens will push back against these policies, punishing the parties behind them at the polls. Real debate and rational thinking may come to dominate scientific discourse, and the common man may emerge victorious.
American Thinker: More evidence the media got the signal to turn against Biden
Mainstream media initially hesitated to cover IRS whistleblowers’ testimony on Biden corruption but later picked up the story of Hunter Biden’s threats to a Chinese businessman. Biden’s dementia is becoming more evident and his corruption cannot be denied, leading to speculation of a chosen instrument 2024 candidate, such as Gavin Newsom, being installed as vice president. White House Press Secretary was hounded by reporters, indicating a shift in the powers-that-be; Biden is no longer useful to them.
American Thinker: ‘Someone’s got to go to prison’
The J6 protesters are going to prison in Biden's America, while the real bad guys of the Russia collusion hoax, including Hillary Clinton and James Comey, remain free. Hunter Biden's laptop from Hell contains proof of his many perverse activities, including tax evasion on millions of ill-gotten dollars. The Biden family is like a mafia mob and the left has no problem with their criminal or moral excesses. Adam Schiff is a pathological creep, and the corrupt AG Garland will defend the criminals who make our cities unlivable. The Democrats are in full destruction mode and have made us a morally corrupt nation, betraying the Founders and our Constitution.

Forbes: The Russian Bear Is A Bull For Oil
Wagner Group Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin has attempted a rebellion against the military establishment in Russia, leading to fears of a coup which could cause oil prices to spike by $5-10 this week. However, while pipeline exports to the west would theoretically be at risk, most have already ended due to war-related sanctions. If the conflict spreads, oil prices will face increasing pressures and while Putin's survival seems likely, his political weakness has become evident and his response is expected to lower oil prices in the longer term. In the short term, Russia may restrain exports slightly, but longer-term, they could prove a threat to OPEC+ efforts to put a floor on oil prices.

Flag And Cross: Space Travel Takes Toll On Astronauts' Brains, New Study Shows
Space travel causes astronauts' ventricles to expand, damaging brain tissue. Researchers from the University of Florida found that the brain's ventricles expand significantly in astronauts who complete long missions of at least six months, with the absence of gravity causing the fluid to shift upward, pushing the brain higher in the skull. The most lasting change seen in the brain resulting from spaceflight was ventricular expansion, according to the study. Astronauts traveling outside of Earth's gravity should wait at least three years after long missions to allow their brains to recover.

American Thinker: Chatanooga Goes Brave New World
Chattanooga, Tennessee, a former industrial city turned tourist destination, has been selected as one of two U.S. cities to become a "15-minute city" by the World Economic Forum, with the aim of using broadband and data to create a more sustainable and equitable city. However, proponents warn that the SMART technologies being implemented are invasive and controlling, with SMART meters and thermostats allowing the energy and water companies to control individuals' usage, while surveillance cameras and facial recognition software monitor citizens who don't comply with "green rules."
