The Epoch Times: Simpsons Writer and Previous Titan Passenger Noted Sub’s Communication Problems
Communication problems were reported during all four of Mike Reiss's deep-sea dives on OceanGate's Titan Sub, during which contact was lost with the host ship. Reiss said he knew the risks associated with deep-sea exploration. During a dive to explore the wreck of the Titanic, communication problems arose after crew landed 500 yards from the sunken ship, but they eventually found it after three hours. This comes after news of the tragic loss of the five-member crew of a similar submersible vessel while exploring the Titanic wreck. The US Coast Guard has confirmed that the US Navy detected the implosion of the sub soon after it disappeared on Sunday.
