Forbes: A Social Media Alternative For Vietnam’s Gen Z
Facebook, once ubiquitous and powerful, has lost popularity among teenagers who now prefer Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube. Leka, a new social networking app targeting Gen Z created by Singapore-incorporated company Skapa.ai, aims to promote authenticity in connections by segmenting users into groups called "squads" where individuals can share and engage without fear of judgment. The invite-only strategy promotes security, inclusivity, and organic growth, and the app plans to generate revenue from in-app commerce, which is projected to be a US$31 billion market in Vietnam alone by 2028.
