The Epoch Times: Judge Denies NYC Request to Dismiss Orange County Migrant Lawsuit
New York City and two hotels had a request to dismiss a migrant lawsuit brought against them by Orange County denied by a state supreme court judge. A preliminary injunction was granted, banning the city from sending more migrants to the county until a legal resolution is reached. The county’s lawsuit argued that the city could not operate a homeless shelter in Orange County without due process and asked the court to reverse transfers already done and ban such arrangements in the future.

Breitbart: Russia Charges Wagner Chief with 'Armed Uprising', Fortifies Moscow amid Rumors of Coup
The Russian government has confirmed an investigation and charges against Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner paramilitary group, for calling for armed rebellion against Moscow. Prigozhin had claimed that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu ordered an attack which killed a large number of his “fighters” in Ukraine. He later claimed to have gone to Rostov-on-Don, Russia with allegedly little resistance and numbered up to 25,000 troops. The government has begun to fortify the capital whilst Prigozhin condemned Ukraine’s invasion as a ploy by senior leaders in the Russian Defense Ministry to appear competent. He is expected to face between 12 and 20 years in prison as a result of the charges.

Townhall: The Pentagon Staying the Course On the F-35 Isn’t Feasible or Affordable
Europe colonized the world, not China, because European diversity trumped Chinese unity. Unity was a liability for Europe, but too much unity in the defense industry can be ruinous. Lockheed Martin has been the military's go-to company for developing the F-35 fighter, but with consistent blunders, the program's budget of $400 billion should be analyzed under a microscope. The Republican-led House Armed Services Committee proposing an additional $588 million for the Adaptive Engine Transition Program (AETP) engine is wasteful. Conflict with China will be a war like the world has never seen - it is better to make smart investments, not wasteful ones.
Breitbart: Australia: Russian Diplomat with 'Penchant for Loungewear' Squatting on Canceled Embassy Site
A mystery Russian diplomat is squatting on the land where a new Russian embassy in Australia would have been built. The Australian government passed an emergency bill to block the construction, citing the risk of espionage following Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese played down the situation, saying the Russian squatter posed no threat to Parliament. The Russian embassy has stated that "employees" are living on the site to "ensure the safety" of existing consular structures and construction materials.

The GOP hopefuls encouraged Christians to unite with the pro-life movement to protect the unborn and preserve the truth. Townhall: North Carolina One Year Post Dobbs
North Carolina passed a law protecting unborn children at 12 weeks, despite opposition from Democrats and Governor Cooper. The law will save over 3,000 lives annually, as North Carolinians recognize the humanity of unborn children backed by science. Democrats' aim to impose a pro-abortion agenda, while Republicans prioritize protecting life from painful late-term abortions and expanding the pro-life safety net for families in need. The pro-life movement is only getting started one year into this new era for life in America.

Townhall: D Is for Democrats... and Disinformation
Obama proposes developing "digital fingerprints" to combat disinformation online. He expresses concern about deep fakes being used to spread lies and mislead people, particularly voters. However, critics argue that politicians, including Obama himself and those in power, have used disinformation for their own political gain. Furthermore, Democrats pushed the Russian Collusion Hoax and other minor hoaxes and lies about Trump or his family, and Democrats have been dis-informing the public for at least 60 years with lies such as that Republicans will throw grandma over the cliff by getting rid of Social Security and Medicare.
The Epoch Times: US Engineers Contributed to Missouri River Flood Damage and Must Pay Landowners, Court Rules
The US government may have to pay tens of millions of dollars to landowners along the Missouri River due to recurrent flooding that killed crops and caused damage to homes and businesses since 2007. A federal court ruled that the government must pay for crops, farm equipment, and buildings lost to the flooding and found that it contributed to the devastating flood of 2011. The US Army Corps of Engineers has been held responsible, as it changed how it regulates the Missouri River's flow to better protect the habitat of endangered fish and birds, but decommissioning dikes and opening historic channels have led to erosion of bankments and other infrastructure. As a result, courts have deemed that the corps has unconstitutionally deprived farmers, businesses, and other landowners of their land.
