The Epoch Times: 1 in 400 Couldn't Vote in Local Elections Due to New Photo ID Rules
Around 14,000 voters, or 0.25 percent, were unable to vote in England's May local elections due to the new photo ID requirement, according to the Electoral Commission. Among those who did not vote, 3 percent said they did not have the necessary ID, citing awareness of the need to present ID as high at 92 percent. Passports, driving licences, biometric residence permits and national ID cards issued by the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and the UK's blue badge and Defence Identity Card are acceptable. Labour called the requirement a "discredited policy" and a "barrier to voting".
The Electoral Commission, which is undertaking further research, has said it will make recommendations for improvement "in order to ensure that elections remain truly accessible to all". Those without acceptable ID can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate issued by the government. Official figures show the vast majority of voters adapted well to the ID requirement and 99.75 percent of eligible voters were able to cast their vote successfully. The photo ID requirement was introduced to make sure voting is a "high-integrity process", and to bring the rest of the UK in line with Northern Ireland, which has had photo ID since 2003.
American Thinker: It’s Not The 50-50 Country that the Woke Want Us to Think It Is
The radical left wants us to believe America is 50-50 divided to make their side look larger and ours smaller. However, signs show that increasing numbers of Americans are actively resisting wokeness. Conservative disengagement from woke corporations has made a crater-like impact without violence. The right-of-center's restraint mixes with joy, humor, and confidence. The cumulative impact of silent noncooperation, in every part of the country, in every state, red and blue, has become too vast, too deep to conceal or minimize. There is no more room for underestimating Americans’ determination for freedom.
American Thinker: Saying the Quiet Part Out Loud
Criticism of the American government is a natural right and a cherished duty, and it is government corruption that threatens institutions. Tyranny thrives in silence, and speaking out against government injustice is crucial.
The current moment is one of quiet revolution, with growing numbers of people beginning to accept difficult truths, despite government efforts to suppress information. Recognizing injustice is more potent than its imposition, and Americans must break their silence and drain the State's power for themselves.

Red State: 15 State Attorneys General Write Letter Telling Target to 'Be Mindful of Its Obligations' to LGBTQ+ Community
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison led a group of 15 AGs in urging retailer Target to "double down on inclusivity" for the LGBTQIA+ community amid backlash over its Pride month merchandise. The AGs pointed out that all states have laws protecting against discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in places of public accommodation like Target stores. While acknowledging the retailer's decision to pull some Pride merchandise from its shelves "out of concern for worker and customer safety," the AGs said they were concerned it sends the message that "hateful and disruptive conduct" can cause large corporations to succumb to bullying.
Target found itself at the center of a boycott campaign when social media posts went viral showing its Pride-themed newborn onesies and swimwear featuring "thoughtfully fits on multiple body types and gender expressions," including swimwear with a "light binding effect" and bottoms labeled as "tuck friendly construction." Amid backlash, a Target designer who collaborated on the line was revealed to be an avid Satan supporter. Some stores in the Southern U.S. were instructed to move Pride displays from a prominent view to the back and replace them with other swimwear merchandise. The AGs were concerned that by pulling Pride merchandise, Target demonstrated that "intentional violence and intimidation can set back the march for social progress and LGBTQIA+ equality."
Fox News: Texas Christian University offers 'Queer Art of Drag' course requiring students to create a 'drag persona'
Texas Christian University offers elective course ‘The Queer Art of Drag’ which instructs students to create a drag persona and “engage queer theories in relation to performance practice.” Students will read texts like “The Gender Binary is a Tool of White Supremacy” and “How Drag Villains Became the Far Right’s Ultimate Villains.” They will also have to produce a one-to-two-minute solo performance to be recorded and shared at TCU’s Annual Night of Drag.
The Women and Gender Studies Department at Texas Christian University teaches a class on 'The Queer Art of Drag' where students create their drag persona to critique society's norms. The students will learn about the 'Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence,' which faced blowback for being honored by the LA Dodgers at their Pride Night.

Fox News: Russia is targeting the US homeland with its strategy of Cyber Armageddon
Russian hackers launched a cyberattack on the Department of Energy and other federal agencies with a destructive ransomware bug that compromised millions of Americans and countless businesses and organizations. This attack is meant to send a message to Team Biden that Moscow has the capability to unleash a more severe attack on the United States, resulting in Cyber Armageddon. Putin is almost certainly contemplating a catastrophic cyberattack because of the ever-escalating proxy war over Ukraine. The attack was attributed to a Russian ransomware group, but it is a false distinction whether the hack was done by a Russian government employee or a hired gun. The Russians call cyber a strategic non-nuclear weapon as it can do the same job but without creating the nuclear mushroom.
Putin almost certainly is reacting to reports of NATO having transitioned to a wartime footing, in preparation for a direct conflict with Russia. NATO switching to a war posture with Russia is much more consistent with the statements made by some US and European leaders who called for Putin’s demise and strategic defeat of Russia, whether they are intended as such or not. The Kremlin certainly interprets US/NATO’s actions as preparations for the deployment of forces into the battlefield in Ukraine, potentially aimed at regime change in Russia. In this scenario, given NATO’s conventional superiority over Russia, the existence of the Russian state would be under threat, providing justification for Putin to authorize catastrophic cyber strikes on the U.S. homeland. Putin believes he would be saving his Russia and himself. Unleashing Cyber Armageddon on America would be Putin’s last ditch effort, if he thought that U.S. troops were about to flood into Ukraine to bloody his nose.

Forbes: New Report Warns Terrorists Could Cause Human Extinction With ‘Spoiler Attacks’
A new paper warns of the potential for spoiler attacks involving new technologies to cause unprecedented destruction and threaten the existence of humanity. Terrorist groups are unlikely to be able to build effective weapons of mass destruction, with their best chance of causing a catastrophy being a spoiler attack that breaks through safeguards preventing the development of dangerous technology. The authors of the report, published in the European Journal of Risk Regulation, argue that governments need to incorporate terrorism-related risks into broader efforts to mitigate existential risks.

Fox News: LA Times claims GOP is clinging to the 'past' with opposition to gas stove bans: 'Wildly misplaced'
Republican lawmakers are opposing a gas stove ban, which they argue is unnecessary and exaggerates the issue of indoor pollution. The "Save Our Gas Stoves Act" and "Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act" have been described by opponents as politically motivated rather than based on science or safety concerns. The Los Angeles Times editorial board accuses the GOP of clinging to outdated technology and prioritizing the fossil fuel industry over public health.

American Thinker: Diabetes Reveals Itself to be Racist
The American Medical Association is ignoring the correlation between obesity and diabetes, heart disease, and cancer and instead establishing "historical harm" when it comes to using BMI as an objective measure to identify seriously overweight people. The AMA's determination to ignore BMI could cause actual harm to Black people who are more likely to develop these illnesses, but now it's considered "BBphobic" to warn them and Vogue is touting seriously overweight people as examples of "body positivity."
