American Thinker: President Trump Did What Ross Perot Could Not
President Trump Did What Ross Perot Could Not
Political disagreement and name-calling is hindered by a globalist/socialist syndicate that weaponizes the government against anyone who obstructs their quest for political power. Accordingly, concerns over political correctness and a lack of diplomacy should not stop the fight to preserve America's bedrock principles and socio-economic system. Although President Trump has his negative sides, he has the ability to galvanize his supporters and expose the true colors of adversaries, thereby uniting the true patriots in defense of America.

American Thinker: Marriage Stands in the Way of the State
Marriage Stands in the Way of the State
Actor Kevin Costner's wife has filed for divorce, and many reports seem to treat it as just another divorce. However, progressivism has sought to undermine traditional marriage and other institutions. The nuclear family is crucial for personal liberty and a stable society, as it prioritizes love and raising children over reliance on the state.

Marriage, at its core, fulfills deeply ingrained human needs for love, security, and meaning. Procreation and raising children are supremely rewarding experiences for most married persons. Though marriage is not the only path to fulfillment, it is a natural and necessary institution that should be honored and defended.

American Thinker: What Happens if the Supreme Court Bans Racial Preferences?
What Happens if the Supreme Court Bans Racial Preferences?
The Supreme Court will soon decide the legality of racial preferences in higher education. The Asian plaintiff is expected to prevail due to statistical evidence that both Harvard and UNC favored blacks over Asians. However, the likely judicial victory will not change much, as giving African Americans an extra boost in everything from police officer exams to admission to elite schools is now hard-wired into American culture. The survival of preferences is due to their deep integration into our national DNA.

Most universities have anticipated legal challenges to racial preferences and have created subterfuges to avoid the ban on racial discrimination. These strategies dilute the value of a college degree and will ultimately harm the very people intended to benefit from them. As colleges move away from objective measures like the SAT, qualifications are based more on proxies that can be difficult to define, subordinating intellectual excellence to diversity. The likely judicial victory against preferences will change little, as support for preferences has become sacrosanct on college campuses, making it difficult to enforce any Supreme Court decision.
