PJ Media: West Coast, Messed Coast™: Hunter's Prosti-Tax Write-offs and Paying Reparations to Criminals
West Coast, Messed Coast™: Hunter's Prosti-Tax Write-offs and Paying Reparations to Criminals
Hunter Biden is reported to have deducted tens of thousands of dollars from his taxes as payments to a sex club and "West Coast Assistant" who was essentially a prostitute according to the New York Post. This revelation along with charges of fraud and non-payment of taxes have led to his plea deal to reduce the apparent felony charges to misdemeanors, avoiding jail time.

Washington State is set to pay reparations to approximately 200,000 people for breaking the law going back several decades. The Blake decision by the state supreme court ruled that Washington State could no longer criminalize possessing small amounts of drugs, which has led to nearly $8 million in refunds to those fined or jailed, with more to come.

Dershowitz: 'Thank God' GOP Controls House and Can Probe 'Probable Cause' of 'Impeachable' Offense by Biden, Hunter Can't Plead 5th
Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz says the allegations from a whistleblower that Hunter Biden demanded payment from a Chinese businessman with his father present is “probable cause” of an “impeachable offense” of bribery. Dershowitz says this merits investigation and it’s a good thing Republicans control Congress right now so they can investigate. Hunter Biden can’t invoke the 5th Amendment “because his lawyers have said that he’s no longer subject to any criminal prosecution.”

Hunter Biden WhatsApp message — a smoking gun?
Hunter Biden's WhatsApp message to a communist Chinese affiliate requesting that a commitment be fulfilled or dire consequences would ensue has come to light. The message was sent in July 2017 and recently discovered by IRS agent Gary Shapley during his investigation of Hunter Biden. The whistleblower who had the messages was blocked from investigating it, leading to outrage from Glenn Beck and Stu Burguiere.

The Epoch Times: Wisconsin Elections Chief Meagan Wolfe Faces Uphill Battle for Reappointment
Wisconsin Elections Chief Meagan Wolfe Faces Uphill Battle for Reappointment
Meagan Wolfe, the election administrator for Wisconsin, is up for reappointment. However, her chances of getting her second four-year term look increasingly bleak, according to some GOP lawmakers. Wolfe has been accused of missteps, failures, abuse of authority, and outright flouting of the state's election laws. Republicans control the state senate, and they will need to vote to confirm Wolfe's reappointment if approved by the bipartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission. The accusation against Wolfe comes from Janel Brandtjen, an election integrity firebrand, who cited the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty's study that examined WEC's conduct during the 2020 presidential election. The study found that with Wolfe at the helm, WEC oversaw the casting of "a significant number of ballots" that did not meet "statutory requirements or statutory intent."

Karine Jean-Pierre spars with reporters, refuses to answer Hunter Biden questions in testy exchanges
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre dodged questions about the Hunter Biden scandal at Friday's press briefing, specifically regarding a text message Hunter Biden allegedly sent to a Chinese business associate that mentioned his father. Jean-Pierre repeatedly referred questions to the White House Counsel's Office and declined to comment further on the matter. Reporters asked whether President Biden was involved in his son's business dealings, but Jean-Pierre insisted that the president "was not in business with his son" and that Justice Department decisions in its investigations are done "independently" without White House involvement.

The Epoch Times: ANALYSIS: The Tale of Two Legal Fates: Hunter Biden's Plea Deal and Trump's Indictment
ANALYSIS: The Tale of Two Legal Fates: Hunter Biden's Plea Deal and Trump's Indictment
Hunter Biden pleads guilty to two misdemeanor tax evasion counts and a weapons charge that may be dismissed. Meanwhile, Trump is charged with 37 felonies related to the handling of classified documents. Critics see this as evidence of a double standard in the American justice system, while Biden’s defenders insist the prosecutor was appointed by Trump and retained by Biden to avoid even a hint of interference. Republican leaders claimed the deal proves the existence of a two-tiered system of justice in America. The plea deal could impact the 2024 presidential election and spark further distrust in and possibly changes to the DOJ in the future.

The Hunter Biden plea agreement juxtaposed with the Trump indictment is seen as confirming the widely held belief that there are two standards of justice in America. This perception exists across the political spectrum. The longer-term effect of the Biden plea deal and the Trump indictment may be felt more in the DOJ and FBI than at the ballot box. Based on these cases and the general lack of trust in the American system of justice, some candidates have vowed to take corrective action if elected. Ultimately, ensuring equal justice is up to the American people.

Squires: Only Trump can stop 'Pound Town' from turning black culture into Clown Town
Black America needs Donald Trump to build a border wall to keep vulgar and violent hip-hop artists from continuing their assault on black culture. Trump doesn't actually have to do anything. His role is simply to be the object of affection for hip-hop artists. The problem is that those standards are based on the elevation of politics over culture. The black community still has high standards for its members. No civilization, country, or culture can survive when dysfunction is rewarded and political differences are punished.

Hypocrisy on Steroids: Obama Blames 'Right-Wing' Media for Making Americans 'Fearful of Each Other'
Barack Obama has been accused of being the most arrogant and hypocritical president in modern history, as he blames right-wing media outlets for the creakiness of democratic institutions while being divisive himself. In a CNN special, Obama declared that democratic institutions around the world have become “creaky,” and he declared that the existing institutions need to be reformed. He then went on to blame Fox News and other “right-wing” media outlets for the problem, saying that if you watch those outlets, your reality will be different from those who read the New York Times and watch CNN.

WH Flacks Bombarded With Questions About Hunter’s Damning WhatsApp Message
The White House is under scrutiny after reports emerged of a WhatsApp message showing President Joe Biden and his son Hunter involved in coercing a Chinese businessman. House Ways and Means Committee chairman Jason Smith claimed the message had been obtained by IRS investigators, who had discovered it during a probe into Hunter's foreign business interests. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and national security spokesman John Kirby declined to answer questions on the topic, while other reporters joined forces to press Jean-Pierre on the issue. Hunter's attorney did not deny the WhatsApp message's authenticity but suggested it could be misleading or fake.

Disney's stock is down to $88 from nearly $200 in March 2021 due to movies bombing and the streaming service losing billions. The company's reputation is collapsing due to their pure woke agenda, leading them to groom toddlers and promote sexual fetishes. The latest live-action Snow White remake will not include dwarves because of a monopoly held by Peter Dinklage, resulting in seven little people losing their job. Disney is more interested in destroying the innocence of children than telling great stories.

‘withhold information’ on Titan disappearance
The Biden administration allegedly withheld information about the imploded Titan submersible, which resulted in the death of all five passengers. Despite the US Navy and Coast Guard knowing about the catastrophic implosion on Sunday, no official announcement was made until Thursday. Jack Posobiec questions why the information was not released earlier and why the British deep-sea exploration firm was blocked from helping. The incident was leaked to Rolling Stone, causing widespread discussion across the country. The Coast Guard detected underwater noises and sent an ROV to check them out, while OceanGate confirmed 2am local time sonar tapping noises. Finally, on Thursday, the debris field was discovered, and the United States Navy was known to have detected it all along. It is not known why the Biden administration allegedly sat on the information for several days.

Will Erdogan Finally Ratify Sweden’s NATO Accession? No One Knows.
Turkey's President Erdogan has delayed Sweden's NATO membership indefinitely, citing "security concerns" over the nation's alleged support of the Kurdistan Workers' Party. Despite Sweden's repeated offers to address these concerns, Erdogan has yet to ratify Sweden's accession to NATO. Increasing anti-PKK protests in Stockholm have led to doubts about Sweden's membership once again, with Erdogan insisting that the nation must stop the protests and extradite PKK-affiliated individuals to Turkey. However, NATO officials and analysts argue that sitting back and waiting for Erdogan to act may be the best course of action, as there is little else NATO can do to pressure him.

Bitcoin Hits 12-Month High As Crypto Bulls Stay ‘Buzzing’
Bitcoin surges to over a year high, up 21% since BlackRock applied for first US bitcoin ETF. The rally far outpaces the S&P 500's loss over the last eight days. However, Bitbank analyst Yuya Hasegawa thinks the current recovery has a short expiration date, with choppy macroeconomic conditions and likely further monetary tightening from the Federal Reserve. The price surge appears to price in BlackRock and its peers' ETF application as a watershed moment for crypto, but it's far from a guarantee U.S. regulators will approve it considering the Securities and Exchange Commission’s long standing opposition to such funds.

Fox News: 131 manufacturing organizations ask the Biden White House to stop an unprecedented regulatory 'onslaught'
131 manufacturing organizations ask the Biden White House to stop an unprecedented regulatory 'onslaught'
The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has led a coalition of more than 100 manufacturing organisations that have sent letters to the White House requesting that the federal government immediately take action to address the tidal wave of federal regulations currently impacting the industry. NAM seeks to have a senior-level government advisor designated to work both with manufacturers to enforce achievable regulatory practices and with federal agencies to implement responsible regulations. It also seeks to address the negative consequences on the industry and the chilling effects on investment, employment and supply chains. The manufacturing industry has reported significant consequences as a result of overwhelming regulations, with many experiencing financial burdens reaching thousands of dollars.

Despite praising President Biden for initiatives to boost the manufacturing industry, such as the Chips and Science Act and energy provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act, NAM expects the administration to address the regulatory onslaught, which is crippling the industry by curtailing manufacturers' ability to hire new workers, suppress wage growth, and chill manufacturing investment. The expectations of manufacturers were expressed in a coalition sent to Biden's Chief of Staff Jeff Zients, requesting a drastic change in regulation to address the industry's regulatory concerns.

Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) inserted four amendments into the National Defense Authorization Act to limit the Department of Defense's DEI efforts, arguing that it is divisive and hurts recruitment. The amendments include an audit of DOD's DEI workforce expansion, a prohibition on creating new DEI positions, a report on the Enhanced Education Program, and a requirement for details on manhours and resources expended on DEI. Schmitt intends to use defense funding for preparedness and combatting global threats like China.

UN "expert" Victor Madrigal-Borloz addressed the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, stating that religious groups must accept the LGBT agenda to prevent discrimination and violence against the community. Madrigal-Borloz claims that religious "narratives" that reject LGBT persons are beyond the scope of freedom of religion, and that the beliefs and lifestyle choices of LGBT individuals are actual beliefs. He warns against using religious freedom to excuse violence or discrimination against the LGBT community. Madrigal-Borloz recommends that faith leaders accept diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.

Nearly half of those polled believed glasses have become the "coolest fashion accessory."

The AI-generated opening sequence for "Secret Invasion" may further exacerbate these issues and open the door for AI in the entertainment industry.

Another Person Choosing Assisted Death Under Canada's Liberalized Laws Over Lack of Support for Disability
A disabled single mother from Ontario is contrasting the process for medical assistance in dying (MAiD) which took only 91 days to receive and the six to eight months it takes to receive disability support. Canada has one of the most permissive euthanasia laws in the world and since the federal government revised the eligibility criteria for MAiD in March 2021, some Canadians suffering from poverty have applied for the procedure. Rose Finlay, a mother of three boys, who has been unable to work and pay for her support workers, is planning to apply for MAiD but does not want to end her life, instead she would like to improve her quality of life with proper support. Finlay has organized a fundraiser on the GoFundMe website to seek help for her and her children.

Breitbart: Staff from Tavistock Child Sex Change Clinic Set Up Private Practice
Staff from Tavistock Child Sex Change Clinic Set Up Private Practice
Former staff from the controversial Tavistock gender clinic have established a private clinic called Gender Plus after the NHS shutdown their clinic. Gender Plus is offering gender assessment for children, adolescents, and young adults over Zoom calls. Sessions cost £275 an hour and an additional £275 for a “surgery referral.” Gender Plus is also planning to establish a hormone clinic run by another former member of Tavistock this Autumn. Meanwhile, more than 1,000 families are launching legal action against Tavistock for misdiagnosing their children with gender dysphoria.

A former Tavistock patient said that the service was a “mutilated experiment gone wrong” after the clinic put her on a course of cross-sex hormones after just two appointments. She went on to have her breasts removed. The Tavistock Center has been accused of offering puberty-blocking drugs to children after as little as one consultation, and over 19,000 children were treated for gender dysphoria. Meanwhile, the NHS recently announced it would no longer prescribe hormone-altering drugs to children without intervention from the government. The Association of Clinical Psychologists UK stated the Tavistock Center had an “affirmative, rather than exploratory” approach to treating children and that shutting down the clinic was “precipitated by a number of systemic failings”.

Eat This to Reduce Belly Fat
Adding soluble fiber to your diet can help reduce belly fat and aid in weight loss. Soluble fiber absorbs water in the digestive system, creating a feeling of fullness and controlling appetite. It also feeds microorganisms in the gut, which promote gut health and reduce inflammation. Consuming at least 30 grams of thick and viscous soluble fiber per day is recommended for weight loss, found in foods like legumes, green vegetables, and oats. Moderation is important to avoid constipation or diarrhea.

New research backs up claims that bitemark evidence is unreliable for use in criminal trials, leading to wrongful convictions and even death sentences in the US. Bitemark evidence became commonplace in trials following Ted Bundy’s case in 1979, but recent studies have shown that bitemarks on skin do not transfer accurately and could fit multiple people with just minor distortion. It is hoped that this latest review will raise awareness of the problematic nature of bitemark evidence .

Scientists have discovered the remains of a prehistoric whale with razor sharp fangs that resembled a dolphin, but was far more ferocious, dating back 28 million years. Olympicetus thalassodon was one of the earliest toothed whales and reached ten feet in length, feeding on fish, squid and possibly other whales. Its teeth were heterodont, with differences along the tooth row, unlike the teeth of more advanced odontocetes. Olympicetus and its close kin belonged to a family called Simocetidae, so far known only from the North Pacific, which was among the first diverging groups of toothed whales.

Forbes: A Deliciously Cheesy Tax Story—How French Farmers Outwitted The Tax Man
A Deliciously Cheesy Tax Story—How French Farmers Outwitted The Tax Man
French cheese Reblochon owes its origin to tax evasion. In the 13th century, dairy farmers in Haute-Savoie had to pay a tax based on the number of milk jugs produced in a day, so they altered the timing of their milking on tax day in order to produce less milk. The second milking produced very rich cream, ideal for making cheese, which resulted in the creation of reblochon cheese. Today, reblochon is restricted to the mountains of Haute-Savoie and the Val d'Arly, and is described as having a nutty aftertaste with a strong odor. It is not allowed in the US as it does not meet the required aging time.
