Silent as the Grave: ABC Ignores Hunter Implicating Joe in China Deal
ABC's Good Morning America failed to report on a whistleblower's WhatsApp messages about Hunter Biden directly implicating President Biden in a business deal with a Chinese associate, while CBS and NBC covered the story. Gary Shapley spoke to congressional investigators in May, alleging that IRS investigators recommended charges for tax evasion, filing a false tax return, and charges for failure to file or pay for several years, all of which could bring hefty fines and up to five years in prison. Additionally, Shapley said there was a 2017 WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to a Chinese businessman over an outstanding payment stating, "I am sitting here with my father. We would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled."

Kirby argues with reporter about purported Hunter Biden text message: 'Not going to comment further'
The White House press conference avoided discussing the communications between President Biden and his son's foreign business partners. When a reporter read a WhatsApp message linking the president to his son's overseas activities, National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby shut down the questions, saying he wouldn't comment on the issue. Meanwhile, an IRS whistleblower investigating Hunter Biden claimed the president’s son used his father’s name to pressure a Chinese business partner and suggested that the elder Biden was present during some deals.

Hunter Biden attended a state dinner at the White House for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, following a plea agreement that will spare him jail time for tax evasion and gun possession. Critics took to Twitter to express their disapproval of his presence, with one calling it "embarrassing" and another stating that "they are laughing at you." This came on the same day that the House Ways and Means Committee released transcripts of its interviews with IRS whistleblowers, revealing that the Justice Department had imposed limitations on charging Hunter Biden.

National Review: The Explosive IRS Whistleblower Revelations on Hunter Biden
The Explosive IRS Whistleblower Revelations on Hunter Biden
If true, explosive whistleblower testimony from a senior IRS agent adds to evidence that President Biden was involved in his family's profitable business of cashing in on his political influence; this business reportedly includes suspicious payments from corrupt regimes, notably the Chinese Communist Party. National security demands that Congress prioritize this investigation. Additionally, someone in the investigation is lying, as the testimony of the IRS agent contradicts the testimony of Attorney General Merrick Garland about the investigation.

The IRS agent has testified about the Justice Department's efforts to cut off investigators from damning evidence, including a threatening WhatsApp message that Hunter Biden sent in 2017 that invoked his powerful father during a transaction with a suspected Chinese Communist Party official. The testimony also implicates senior FBI officials in suppressing the substantial evidence of financial wrongdoing amassed in the Hunter Biden investigation. The whistleblower maintains that Justice Department lawyers vetoed searches for which there was probable cause and prevented agents from accessing the laptop evidence and conducting interviews with key witnesses. The Biden probe has been impaired by a lack of access to critical evidence, investigative irregularities, and a failure to press charges over the objections of appointees.

Hunter Biden expensed prostitutes, sex club to 'consulting' business on 2018 tax returns: IRS whistleblower
Hunter Biden allegedly listed payments for prostitutes and a sex club as expenses for his "consulting" business on his tax returns, according to testimony from two IRS whistleblowers to Congress. The investigation into Hunter Biden's finances began in 2018 and the probe had the effect of benefiting the subject of the investigation. Hunter Biden has also agreed to enter into a pretrial diversion agreement regarding a separate charge of possession of a firearm by a person who is an unlawful user of, or addicted to, a controlled substance.

Spectator USA: In praise of megarich adventurers
In praise of megarich adventurers
The tragic incident of a missing submarine and the presumed death of the crew has been turned into a political issue, with critics labeling the crew as "rich idiots". The reaction shows our discomfort with how the wealthy spend their money, as we take the moral high ground and lecture them on how they should be spending their fortunes. However, history has shown that the megarich often push society forward with their crazy, borderline stupid ideas, and it's not up to us to tell them how to spend their money.

We don't have billions of dollars, so we can't truly imagine how we'd spend it. Our obsession with the megarich lies in the fact that they dare to dream and pursue adventures that we can only fantasize about. While there are certainly wealthy people who don't enjoy their wealth, it's not our place to criticize how they choose to live their lives. Let them spend their money however they want and pursue their dreams, even if they are considered "borderline stupid" by some. Listening to stories of someone investing their wealth in their children's future is possibly one of the most boring things to hear.

US, European allies demand action to end Russia's use of Iranian drones in Ukraine
The U.S., the U.K., France, Ukraine, and Albania have urged the UN to investigate Russia's use of Iranian drones in Ukraine. They claim that Russia has violated Resolution 2231 by procuring hundreds of UAVs and working with Iran to produce these weapons in Russia. The coalition also accuses Russia of using these drones to attack Ukrainian infrastructure and kill civilians.

While Russia refutes the accusations, the UN continues to analyze information on the matter. The Secretary-General has been urged to carry out an investigation, and a briefing is expected to be held next month. Iran and Russia’s actions violate Resolution 2231 and have not been approved by the UN Security Council.

America Dropped the Baton in the Rare-Earth Race
The United States is struggling to revive its rare-earths industry, after being left behind by China in the 1980s. China controls 85 percent of processing and 92 percent of magnet production of the group of 17 elements, which are used in everything from high-tech weapons to wind turbines, and dominates global supply chains in transforming them from ore into powerful permanent magnets. The US military is almost wholly reliant on China’s extensive rare-earth value chains, while prospective US companies must contend with lengthy regulatory and permitting processes, and the country has a gaping expertise gap. Even with new momentum, US policymakers remain stumped over how to counter China’s economics of scale.

Fox News: James Cameron says he wished he'd 'spoken up' about design of OceanGate's Titan sub
James Cameron says he wished he'd 'spoken up' about design of OceanGate's Titan sub
Director James Cameron expressed regret for not speaking up about his concerns regarding the design of OceanGate's Titan submarine, which recently imploded during a test in the Gulf of Mexico, killing five people. Cameron was skeptical of Titan's use of composite carbon fiber and titanium for the hull and believed the industry standard of using contiguous materials such as titanium, steel, ceramic or acrylic was safer. Cameron also criticized the use of experimental vehicles for paying passengers who are not deep ocean engineers.

A loud bang on the hydrophone and the loss of communication confirmed to James Cameron that a catastrophic implosion had destroyed Titan, the submersible, during a test in the Gulf of Mexico. Cameron said he knew the sub was lost on the day it was reported missing. The wreckage was found recently and underwater debris was identified as being consistent with the catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber. Five people, including OceanGate's CEO, Hamish Harding and a leading Titanic expert, lost their lives. The US Coast Guard Rear Admiral offered condolences to the families.
