The Epoch Times: Dershowitz Says New Hunter Biden Allegations Possibly an 'Impeachable Offense'
Republicans should investigate the allegations surrounding Hunter Biden, said Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz, claiming that if another whistleblower allegation, that Hunter demanded a bribe from a Chinese businessman while Joe Biden was present, is proven true, it would be an "impeachable offense." Republicans control Congress and can investigate, he said, adding that Biden cannot invoke the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination in Congress because his lawyers have said he is no longer subject to criminal prosecution. It comes after the Justice Department announced that Biden would plead guilty to several misdemeanor offenses, not related to existing investigations into his overseas business deals. An investigation into Biden is still ongoing.
In addition to the recent whistleblower claims against Hunter Biden, Republicans may investigate the allegations surrounding him, however, it is currently uncertain if they will pursue an impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden's business affairs. Judge Maryellen Noreika has scheduled Hunter's first court appearance, the first step in the five-year investigation around Hunter Biden for July 26 in Delaware. Hunter's lawyers say this investigation has been resolved, and he looks forward to moving forward with his recovery. Joe Biden has not yet addressed the most recent allegations against his son.
Fox News: Hunter Biden just did his part to help decide 2024 election
Hunter Biden's sweetheart plea deal, which protects him from typical punishment, will become a major asset for his father's most dangerous challenger, Donald Trump. The Department of Justice's selective use of the justice system will be destructive politically, as Americans come to believe that there are two systems of justice in America. This will only strengthen Trump's image as a symbol of Americans being attacked and oppressed by their own government.
The Biden family defenders' claim that Hunter Biden is a first offender is a flimsy defense, as Hunter has a long-documented history of illegal drug activity and questionable business dealings. Additionally, the personal and professional issues combined increase the American people's belief that there are two systems of justice in America. This will likely result in future revelations of Biden family corruption and cement the belief that there is an entrenched, biased establishment that must be defeated, which will help Trump become the Republican nominee.
Newsbusters: Sen. Wyden Says Sec. 230 Saves Free Speech, Ignores Rampant Censorship
Sen. Ron Wyden spoke at an event to defend Section 230 and claimed it protects "controversial speech," specifically leftist speech, as it allows marginalized voices to call out wrongdoing. However, MRC's CensorTrack.org and a study by MRC Free Speech America found over 5,600 documented cases of censorship and 646 instances of Big Tech censoring criticism of Joe Biden in the last two years. Wyden accused Republicans of trying to shut down access to gender-affirming care and characterized laws protecting children from sexually explicit books as limiting access to information while Big Tech censored dissent from his extreme narrative on gender ideology 689 times in the last year. Conservatives must demand accountability from Big Tech.
National Review: The Corner: When Garland Promised There Would Be No Political Interference in Hunter Biden Probe
According to IRS whistleblowers, Biden-appointed U.S. attorneys in Washington, D.C., and California blocked Delaware U.S. attorney David Weiss from filing tax charges against Hunter Biden. Weiss had asked Attorney General Merrick Garland’s Justice Department for special counsel appointment to file charges against Biden, but was denied. The main whistleblower, IRS supervisory agent Gary Shapley, wrote to Congress accusing Garland of perjury. Garland promised to leave the matter of Hunter Biden in the hands of the U.S. attorney for the District of Delaware but assured that he would have full authority to bring cases in other jurisdictions if necessary.

The Federalist: Will Police Probe Kid Participation In Madison Naked Bike Ride?
Dane County Supervisor Jeff Weigand called for a police investigation after a naked child was allowed to participate in a “body positivity” bike ride in Madison’s Capitol Square. The ride saw 150 naked adults parading around downtown Madison. Eye-witnesses reported seeing a naked child participating in the event, leading to concerns over child exploitation and indecent exposure. Weigand directed The Federalist to multiple relevant state statutes, which he said show Saturday’s events were clearly “illegal” and can constitute a felony. This raises issues over child protection laws.
This situation highlights the controversy surrounding sex-related child victimization in Dane County. The naked bike ride came just one day after the Dane County Board of Supervisors voted in favor of a “sanctuary” resolution for people who self-identify as transgender or nonbinary. However, Weigand maintained the resolution did not protect children. In March, the Sun Prairie Area School District allowed an 18-year-old male who identified as transgender to shower in front of four freshman girls. The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty filed an open-records request for relevant communications to investigate the incident, but the school district refused transparency by charging $11,000 for the records.
Fox News: Maine Legislature clears 12-week paid medical leave proposal
Maine has voted to create a paid family medical leave program, providing up to 12 weeks of leave for workers to deal with illness, care for a relative or birth of a child. The proposal will be funded through a payroll tax split between employees and employers capped at 1% of wages. Companies with fewer than 15 employees will be exempt, and workers must be employed for 120 days to qualify.
PJ Media: The Titanic Sub: It's All Fun and Games When the Rich Are Dying
People have been making sick jokes about tragedies like the recent submarine incident for years. Comedians, in particular, use humor to cope with difficult situations, and sometimes this humor spills over into inappropriate territory. Some people believe that those who laughed at the submarine incident did so out of envy or a belief that the rich passengers deserved what was happening to them.
The Blaze: Titan sub rescue mission likely 'cost millions,' but who will pay for it? Can families of doomed passengers sue OceanGate?
A multinational search and rescue mission was launched to save the OceanGate submersible that went missing in the Atlantic Ocean. The U.S. Coast Guard has now discovered that the submersible's tailcone and debris were found on the ocean floor approximately 1,600 feet from the bow of the Titanic, and the submersible was said to have suffered a "catastrophic implosion," resulting in the deaths of the five people on board.
The extensive rescue operation involved the United States, Canada, France, and England and would probably cost millions. The final bill for the rescue has not yet been disclosed, and it is unclear whether taxpayers in the countries involved ultimately will be required to pay it. The passengers who were on the submersible reportedly took out a release of liability agreement with OceanGate Expeditions, which states they assume full responsibility for the risk of bodily injury, disability, death and property damage due to the negligence of OceanGate while involved in the operation.

Islamic extremists killed eight farmers and abducted 10 others in an attack in Nigeria's Borno state. The farmers were ambushed in the bush and had their throats slit. Borno's farming communities have been frequently targeted by militant groups, threatening food supplies and potentially leading to famine.

The Epoch Times: Opposing Foreign Agent Registry: Hundreds Offered Money, Bus Ride to Join Parliament Hill Protest
Toronto’s Chinese community members are being offered money and a free bus ride to Ottawa to participate in a June 24 protest marking the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Immigration Act. In addition to protesting the act, some organizers are opposing measures such as the proposed foreign agent registry act. Protest Sen. Victor Oh and Sen. Yuen Pau Woo called on Canadians to oppose the registry, labeling it a “disguised Chinese Exclusion Act.” The two senators are promoting a citizen petition e-4395 stating the registry “poses a serious harassment and stigmatization risk for racialized communities.”
The federal government held consultations on establishing a foreign influence transparency registry to address foreign interference activities on Canadian soil, with at least two bills proposed to counter foreign interference. Allegations of meddling by Beijing in the past two federal elections and the operation of at least seven covert Chinese police stations in Canada have recently come to light. The June 24 protest is expected to transport protesters from around Toronto to Parliament Hill and offers each participant a $15 “lunch subsidy” in the form of a Walmart gift card.
The Epoch Times: Russian Diplomats Squatting At Revoked Embassy Site Amidst Legal Challenge
Russia has launched legal action against Australia to stop it from revoking its right to a new embassy site that is a security risk. The legal bid seeks to overturn laws that allow Australia to seize a parcel of land reserved for Russia's new embassy in the capital city of Canberra. A Russian diplomat has been squatting on the disputed land in a demountable building, but the Australian government has not asked the diplomat to leave the site. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese dismissed the legal challenge and said he did not consider the diplomat squatting a national security risk.

The Epoch Times: Banks Agree to Offer More Help to Struggling Mortgage Holders
UK chancellor Jeremy Hunt has met with top executives of banks and building societies to discuss ways to help mortgage holders. Banks and building societies will offer more flexibility following 13 consecutive interest rate rises in 18 months. The lenders will give more leeway to those facing losing their homes, with a minimum 12-month period before there are repossession proceedings without consent. Large numbers of households may experience rising mortgage payments; the Institute for Fiscal Studies warns that 1.4 million people could lose 20% of their disposable income. The UK prime minister and chancellor have ruled out financial intervention to tackle stubbornly high inflation which they deem the "number one priority".

Fox News: The Georgia Bureau of Investigation director is stepping down for a county job
Georgia Bureau of Investigations Director, Mike Register, is stepping down to serve as the public safety director for Cobb County. Register was appointed by Gov. Brian Kemp less than a year ago to lead the GBI and its almost 1,000 employees. The GBI investigates murders, serious crimes, shootings by police officers, and performs autopsies.
Washington Free Beacon: US Files First-Ever Charges Against Chinese Fentanyl Manufacturers
Four Chinese chemical manufacturing companies and eight individuals have been criminally charged by the US Justice Department for illegally trafficking chemicals needed to make fentanyl, a highly addictive painkiller associated with the opioid epidemic in America. This is the first time the US has sought to prosecute Chinese companies for the manufacture of precursor chemicals used in fentanyl. The indictment alleges that the Chinese companies sold precursor chemicals to the Sinaloa Cartel in Mexico, which then sold the drug into the US. The US claims that cooperation from China in stemming the fentanyl trade is essential, but a recent visit by a US justice official failed to produce a clear breakthrough.
The defendants face charges that include conspiracy to manufacture and distribute illegal substances, drug trafficking, and money laundering. One company, Hubei Amarvel Biotech, and three of its executives were charged for fentanyl trafficking and violating money laundering laws. At present, two company executives are being detained by federal agents, while a third remains at large. A further three Chinese companies were accused of conspiring to manufacture and distribute fentanyl to the US and have also been charged. Analysts believe that cooperation with the Chinese authorities over the illegal trade is vital to reducing the risks associated with the opioid epidemic.
Daily Wire: Six Teens Beat Up Boy Playing Basketball, Steal His Shoes As Group Of Bystanders Record, Post On Social Media: Police
A group of six black teenagers attacked a white 15-year-old boy while he was playing basketball in Pennsylvania. Bystanders recorded the assault and posted it on social media, while the attackers beat the victim to steal his expensive Yeezy slides. One suspect has been arrested, but police are still searching for the other five. The victim is physically doing well, but his mother was too shaken up to speak on camera. The suspects are facing charges of aggravated assault, robbery, and other offenses. In a similar incident a decade ago, a white 15-year-old was attacked by black teenagers for his basketball shoes, and the assault was also filmed.

Forbes: Bayern Sign $22 Million Rated Raphaël Guerreiro On A Free Transfer

Guerreiro, a 29-year-old left-back and midfielder, is Bayern's second signing for the 2023/24 season after Omar Richards. Guerreiro's departure from Dortmund is a significant loss as he contributed four goals and 12 assists in 27 games this season, and only Antoine Griezmann, Kevin De Bruyne, and Lionel Messi has more assists in the top five leagues of Europe.

Daily Wire: Kevin Costner’s Estranged Wife Addressed ‘Yellowstone’ Exit Rumors: Report
Kevin Costner's wife denies that his departure from the show "Yellowstone" is linked to their divorce proceedings. Christine Baumgartner claimed that she did not pressure her estranged husband to leave the show and the couple's split had nothing to do with it. She added that Costner's public attacks on her were harmful for their family and she believed they were meant to pressure her to move out without a temporary child support agreement in place. Earlier this year, rumors circulated that Costner was leaving the show at the height of its popularity, and his wife filed for divorce on May 1.
Flag And Cross: Record Invasion Of Killer Asian Hornets Threatens UK Bee Population
Britain faces a record invasion of killer Asian hornets, with an "astronomical" rise in population recorded on the Channel Island of Jersey. In 2022, 438 queens were trapped on Jersey, marking an unprecedented, astronomical increase. The Jersey Asian Hornet Group captures hornets to prevent an invasion onto mainland Britain, where they pose a threat to the environment and native species.
The Epoch Times: Federal Regulators to Require Automatic Emergency Braking Equipment on Heavy Trucks, Buses
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) have proposed a new rule requiring new trucks and buses weighing over 10,000 pounds to include automatic emergency braking (AEB) systems within the next five years. The proposal will become final next year and could prevent more than 19,000 crashes, save 155 lives, and prevent thousands of injuries annually. The heaviest trucks will be required to have the braking systems three years after the rule becomes final, while vehicles weighing between 10,000 and 26,000 pounds will have until 2028. The proposal is part of a wider effort to reduce roadway deaths.
The Epoch Times: Make Your Own Natural Fertilizer From Comfrey Leaves
Comfrey is a medicinal herb once used for healing properties. Though any internal healing properties might cause liver damage, applying comfrey to the skin is safe. The comfrey plant is still valuable because the leaves contain a high protein percentage that makes them ideal for fertilizer.
