Washington Free Beacon: Supreme Court Upholds Law Against Encouraging Illegal Immigration
Supreme Court Upholds Law Against Encouraging Illegal Immigration
U.S. Supreme Court rules that encouraging illegal immigration is not protected by free speech, overturning a lower court decision, in a case involving Helaman Hansen who deceived immigrants with a phony "adult adoption" program. The measure bars inducing or encouraging non-citizens "to come to, enter or reside" in the United States illegally, including for financial gain, and is upheld in light of potential for lawful conduct to be targeted. Biden's administration defended the decades-old measure, stating it is important for combating activities that exacerbate unlawful immigration.

Supreme Court Knocks Down Texas And Lousiana Attempt To Sue Biden Administration Over Immigration
The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Biden Administration's deportation policy, stating that Texas and Louisiana did not have standing to challenge it. The policy prioritizes some undocumented immigrants for deportation over others, noting that the administration does not have the resources to remove them all. The court cautioned that this ruling does not mean the White House cannot be sued in future cases.

Supreme Court Rules States Can’t Challenge Biden Deportation Policy
The Supreme Court dismissed Texas and Louisiana's challenge to the Biden administration's deportation policy that prioritizes removing individuals who pose a threat to public safety. Texas and Louisiana sued over a September 2021 memorandum by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that states it's impossible to remove all illegal aliens in the US. Mayorkas has been criticized by Republicans for his lax approach to immigration enforcement. The majority opinion was written by Justice Brett Kavanaugh, while Justice Samuel Alito dissented.

Spectator USA: Riley Gaines for Kentucky lieutenant governor?
Riley Gaines for Kentucky lieutenant governor?
Cockburn attends the Faith and Freedom Coalition's Road to the Majority Conference and hears from several presidential candidates, including Mike Pence and Chris Christie. Ron DeSantis, Larry Elder, and Nikki Haley are scheduled to speak, but Cockburn hopes that Trump's keynote address won't be "rammed down guests' throats." In other news, whispers suggest that Riley Gaines may be the GOP nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Kentucky, and Axios co-founder Mike Allen is criticized for making comments about "Feng shui." Finally, Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge hosts an underwater-themed May Ball on the same night that alumnus Hamish Harding goes missing underwater in the Titan submersible.

The Epoch Times: A New Cold War, an Old Playbook for Victory
A New Cold War, an Old Playbook for Victory
The United States' relationship with China is deteriorating rapidly, with war seemingly inevitable. Despite Secretary of State Antony Blinken's discussions with China, there has been no success in de-escalation. The Biden administration has failed to establish a strategy for handling the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), but can learn from former President Ronald Reagan's philosophy to "win, they lose." The CCP is now considered the new evil empire, as they are preparing for war, committing human rights abuses, and engaging in intellectual property theft and computer system hacking. The United States must show strength and stand up to the CCP to protect freedom and prevent future aggression.

Democrats lose support from Latinos as 1 in 3 say neither party cares more about them: poll
A new Axios-Ipsos Latino Poll indicates that Latinos in the United States are increasingly disillusioned with both major political parties. Around 32% of Latino respondents believe that neither party cares more about the community, while only 30% believe Democrats care more and an alarmingly low 11% believe Republicans care more. The poll also found that President Biden has retained a bloc of support from Latino voters, with 47% of respondents saying they held a favorable opinion of the president. This poll suggests that Latinos are becoming an increasingly significant swing vote towards any political party in the United States.

A new Axios-Ipsos Latino Poll shows that President Biden retains support amongst Latino voters, with 47% of respondents having a favorable opinion of the president, ahead of former President Trump who has 29% favorability amongst Latinos. However, the poll also suggests that political disillusionment is growing among Latinos in the U.S. Around 32% of respondents believe that neither major political party cares for the community, while only 11% of respondents believe that Republicans care more about Latinos than Democrats. The poll also found rare agreement among Latino Democrats and some Republicans on the removal of the term "Latinx" from government documents for different reasons.

FBI Whistleblower: Deputy Director Threatened Us For J6 Dissent
Empower Oversight, a government watchdog, sent letters to Congress and the DOJ with evidence of FBI leadership misconduct. A whistleblower accused FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate of threatening staff members who questioned the bureau's approach to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot response. The FBI has stonewalled on conducting proper investigations into their conduct, including a briefing about the pipe bombs in RNC and DNC and their extent of involvement on the day of the riot. The evidence of retaliation against dissent can be independently corroborated by other FBI employees if investigated.

PJ Media: Photo From Hunter Biden’s Laptop Corroborates Bribery Claims From Whistleblower
Photo From Hunter Biden’s Laptop Corroborates Bribery Claims From Whistleblower
Hunter Biden's laptop contains photographs that prove he was at his father's home on the same day he threatened his Chinese business partner to fulfill his commitment while invoking his father's name. The conversation took place on July 30, 2017, via WhatsApp with his Chinese business partner Henry Zhao, an associate of CEFC Energy. Hunter claimed he was sitting next to his father when he demanded to know why the commitment was not fulfilled. The House Ways and Means Committee released transcripts of the conversation, discovered by Gary Shapley, an IRS whistleblower.

Hunter Biden's message to Zhao was sent at 9:45 a.m. on July 30, 2017, and a photo found in the laptop metadata shows Hunter behind the wheel of his father's Corvette Stingray, proving he was likely with his father when he threatened Zhao. The revelation contradicts President Biden's statements denying knowledge or participation in his son's foreign business deals. CEFC Energy paid Hunter $5 million to scout potential investments and another $1 million to provide legal services for CEFC Energy executive Patrick Ho, who was charged for trying to bribe African officials for oil rights.

Democrats tried to keep Hunter Biden IRS whistleblower testimony secret
House Democrats voted to keep whistleblower testimonies about the Hunter Biden tax probe hidden from the public. The testimony came from a pair of IRS whistleblowers who accused the Biden administration of stymying the investigation into President Biden's son, resulting in a misdemeanor plea deal. Republicans accused Democrats of "side-stepping" the whistleblowers' testimonies, while Democrats claimed objections to the GOP's "process" rather than public disclosures.

Former Disney star Demi Lovato releases a new single titled "Swine," which is a profanity-laced ode to abortion. Lovato said that the song is made specifically to promote abortion after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The song and its music video feature a witchcraft theme and shows transgender men a hellish fire and evil white men as judgmental inquisitors. Users on social media are calling Lovato's new release demonic, and the media is accusing her of poisoning the minds and souls of her younger and impressionable audience.

Questions Emerge About Titanic-Bound Sub’s Regulation, as Investigators Hunt for Reason It Imploded
An investigation is underway to find out why a submersible carrying people to the wreck of the Titanic imploded in the North Atlantic, killing all five people on board. Questions have been raised about how expeditions to the Titanic are regulated and the safety of the Titan submersible, owned by OceanGate Expeditions, which wasn't registered as a US vessel or with international safety agencies. David Lochridge, the company's former director of marine operations, argued in 2018 that the company's method for ensuring the soundness of the Titan's hull was inadequate and could "subject passengers to potential extreme danger in an experimental submersible".

Titanic Sub Rescue Effort Cost Millions — And OceanGate Likely Won’t Be Paying For It
The cost of the four-day effort to rescue passengers in the sunken submersible Titan will "probably cost millions" and cost OceanGate Expeditions, responsible for the expedition, nothing. Over the period, Canadian, French, and US aircraft and vessels were used in an operation that ultimately found a debris field indicating a submersible implosion and no survivors. The U.S. Coast Guard has suggested a sinking at sea is no different than when a private citizen's boat sinks and authorities launch a rescue, adding that they "will always launch for safety of life at sea."

America Wakes Up to Woke
The woke movement was meant to unite the oppressed against white supremacy and privilege, and demand reparations for blacks. But it's become divisive, retrogressive, and anti-civilizational, leading to the hollowing out of major cities, watering down of religious values, and rejection of woke Hollywood stars for movie roles. Wokeism is a dangerous diversion of American resources, while China prepares to absorb Taiwan. Americans are starting to realize that if they don't reject wokeism, they won't have a civilization left.

China in Cuba: Nuclear-Armed Communists on the Warpath
China is planning to establish a military training facility in Cuba, and may be using the island to gain geopolitical leverage over countries in Central and South America, according to US intelligence reports. Chinese military personnel are already known to be listening in on US communications from the Lourdes base near Havana and two other Cuban locations, with the aim of building military bases from which to attack US interests elsewhere in the hemisphere, according to analysts. In addition, China is reportedly developing a naval base at the tip of Argentina at strategic Tierra del Fuego, and may deploy substantial forces on Cuba itself, putting the US within range of cyberattacks, espionage, and physical attacks on military and civilian installations such as gas stations.

Miso, a fermented soybean paste, has long been a staple of Japanese cuisine and its health benefits are touted in traditional Chinese medicine. Miso has kidney-protecting properties that have been linked to longevity, but consuming excessive amounts may cause gastrointestinal discomfort. It is essential to follow proper consumption methods, and high-quality miso requires natural soybeans, a clean production environment, and patience during fermentation. Miso can aid digestion and absorption of nutrient-rich foods, strengthening the immune system. However, excessive consumption of miso may increase the risk of developing cancer, and it is advisable to consume it in moderation.

Google's newly launched artificial intelligence chatbot, Bard, downplays the issue of abortion and shows its undeniable bias by avoiding the word "life" and dubbing the controversial Supreme Court decision in Dobbs as a "matter of opinion." Bard responded to queries about the Court's decision and declared abortion a "matter of opinion" while dismissing the arguments presented by pro-lifers. Google has a track record of anti-conservative bias, including directing users to Planned Parenthood in a search for "pregnancy," banning pro-life group Live Action from running ads, and promoting the baby-killing organization.

Politicized Science Can Be Dangerous to Your Health
The Lancet was once a respected medical journal, but now it has been degraded by leftist political ideology. Editors and scientists are politicizing medicine, leading to harmful conclusions. Pseudoscientists silence dissent, and we need a respected, honest scientific community to protect us from the befouling influence of politics on science.

Politics has infiltrated climate science, resulting in biased grant-making and an epidemic of existential depression among young Americans. Dr. Fauci and others have damaged the reputation of the scientific community by bending the truth for political favor. We need to follow the scientific method and encourage debate and discovery instead of silencing dissenting voices.

Fox News: What a new study reveals about long COVID, and what we can do about it
What a new study reveals about long COVID, and what we can do about it
Over 60% of COVID patients developed a transient loss of smell and taste, and over 20% continued to report a partial loss for months after recovery. Research has found that the virus infects support cells inside the nose, which die and release genetic debris causing an inflammatory response in nearby cells that affect the nerves in the olfactory lobe. This inflammation can cause long-term damage to the sense of smell and taste.

COVID-19 not only impacts the sense of smell and taste but also the rest of the brain, leading to brain fog and worsening of underlying neurological conditions. Three and a half years after the pandemic, many patients still suffer from the lasting impact of COVID. Treatments for prolonged loss of smell and taste are still primitive, and treating inflammation alongside the body's own healing is key to recovery.

The NHL has banned specialty jerseys, including Pride warm-up jerseys for players, due to becoming a distraction, according to Commissioner Gary Bettman. This has caused controversy among pro-LGBTQ groups who believe it is essential to continue fostering an inclusive environment in sports. The decision to stop having players wear rainbow-themed sweaters on the ice has upset a group that pushes for LGBTQ inclusivity.

Field & Stream: English Lab vs. American Lab
English Lab vs. American Lab
The Labrador retriever is a popular all-purpose hunting and family dog bred for water, with choices to make when searching for a breeder between English and American Labs. English Labs are stockier with blockier heads and are thought of as mellower and easier to train. American Labs are taller and slimmer with sleeker heads and are typically more energetic and excitable, making them better suited for daily hunting or spring snow goose hunts. Both kinds are good duck hunting dogs and come in black, yellow, and chocolate with water-resistant, double coats. The breed originated from the St. John's Dog of Newfoundland and was recognized as a breed in England in 1903 and by the American Kennel Club in 1917. They have water-repellent coats, extra webbing between their toes, and thick tails to help them steer in the water, making them good for water rescue and detection tasks.

Benefits of RV park monthly rates include cost savings, access to amenities, community, flexibility, and convenience, but no one-size-fits-all option for monthly rates exists, and some travelers prefer a constant change of locations.
