Breitbart: Nancy Mace: DeSantis Went 'Too Far' on Abortion
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) criticized Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for signing a ban on abortions after six weeks, saying it went too far and that the bill's mandate to report rape to the state was not supported by the majority of Americans. Mace emphasized the need for a middle ground to show care for women and life in order to win over suburban women.
The American Spectator: Think Biden’s Railroad Across the Indian Ocean Is a Fantasy? Check Out California’s Vaunted ‘Bullet Train.’
California's high-speed rail project, originally pitched at a cost of $33 billion in 2008, has experienced delays and cost overruns. The 2023 completion date is three years past the expected completion date, and the current estimated cost is now $128 billion. The project has been described as "the very definition of a boondoggle.” Federal funding has been restored in 2021, and there is federal interest in funding the project through an infrastructure bill.
There are concerns regarding the management of the high-speed rail project in California. The average salary for those working on the project is 76% higher than the national average, with accusations of corruption and mismanagement present at various levels within the organization. Calls to end the project altogether due to its infeasibility are being heard, however, federal interest and potential funding may keep the project alive.
The Blaze: All Republican presidential candidates should support a national 15-week abortion ban, Pence declares
Former Vice President Mike Pence called for a national 15-week abortion ban and urged every GOP presidential candidate to support it. Meanwhile, President Biden promised to veto a national abortion ban if Congress were to pass one, earning the support of Planned Parenthood Action Fund and other pro-choice groups.
Breitbart: Ernst Blasts Democrats’ ‘Unprecedented’ Move to Save DOD Policy Funding Abortion Travel
Sen. Joni Ernst's bill to defund travel for abortions under the Department of Defense (DOD) policy has failed after Democrats separated it from the traditional amendment process. Ernst believes that Senate Armed Services Committee Democrats pulled the amendment out of the markup process because they feared moderate Senator Joe Manchin would support it. Manchin offered an amendment requiring a study of the new DOD policy and all Democrats supported it, causing Ernst's bill to fail in the sidecar vote. Ernst remains undeterred and plans to bring the bill to the floor for a full vote.
Red State: Whistleblowers: DOJ Told IRS Not to Interview Biden's Family Members or Ask Questions about 'Big Guy,' 'Dad'
IRS whistleblowers revealed to Congress that the DOJ, FBI, and IRS were influenced by politics in the probe into the Biden corruption; one whistleblower claimed that the DOJ provided preferential treatment, slow-walked the investigation, and did nothing to avoid obvious conflicts of interest. The whistleblower also claimed that the FBI confirmed the laptop was Hunter's back in 2019, but despite this, the FBI sat on that and never clarified the issue when they knew the truth.

Daily Wire: Wagner Forces Surround Russia’s Southern Military District Headquarters in Rostov: Russian Media
Russian paramilitary forces from the Wagner group have surrounded the Russian military's Southern Military District HQ in Rostov-on-Don. The region's governor has urged residents to stay away from the area. Wagner's owner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has accused the Russian Ministry of Defence of attacking his troops in Ukraine, and called on his 25,000 men to "figure out why chaos is happening in the country" in a bid to restore justice. He added that anyone attempting resistance would be "immediately destroyed". The FSB has issued an arrest warrant for Prigozhin, accusing him of calling for armed conflict in Russia and betraying Russian soldiers fighting pro-fascist Ukrainian forces.

The American Spectator: Modi Wins Big in Washington
During his recent visit to the United States, Narendra Modi, India's Prime Minister, emphasized trade, technology, defense collaboration, and energy with the U.S., while drawing a counterweight with U.S. support to China's belligerence, including in the three disputed border regions with India. The commitments and protocols from Modi's trip also included a joint deal with General Electric to manufacture F-18 jet engines for the Indian Air Force as a part of India's national priority to stimulate its manufacturing sector. Another development was more flexible H-1B visa regulations. The US and India share a democracy and a commitment to free markets, but India's interests are exclusively situation-specific and separate from its cultural and historical affinities with the West.
Breitbart: 'Supernatural' Actor Catches Cuba’s Puppet President Dining Lavishly in Rome
American actor Jeffrey Vincent Parise caught Cuba's "president" Miguel Díaz-Canel and partner Lis Cuesta enjoying a top fine dining restaurant in Rome, outraging Cubans who have faced food shortages for decades. Parise and fellow actor Jensen Ackles were in the same restaurant at the time of Díaz-Canel's departure, prompting speculation that they had dined together. Parise clarified that it was just a joke, and he did not share dinner with the communist figurehead. Díaz-Canel's European tour saw him visit Italy, Serbia, and France, seeking aid and investment to sustain the communist regime. Cuban exiles peacefully protested Díaz-Canel's presence outside the Vatican on Tuesday morning, calling for an end to the communist Castro regime.
