Fox News: Nearly 17 million illegal immigrants living in the US, 16% increase since 2021: analysis
The number of illegal immigrants in the United States has increased by 16% since President Biden took office, according to a report by the Federation for American Immigration Reform. The report estimates that there are approximately 16.8 million illegal immigrants in the country, up from 15.5 million in January 2022, with the increase driven by relaxed border restrictions, a hiring boost post-COVID, and Biden policies. The Biden administration has been dealing with a migrant crisis, with more than 200,000 encounters at the southern border in May, and has argued that there is a need for a comprehensive immigration bill to fix the “broken” system.
The Biden administration has countered Republican criticism of its handling of the migrant crisis by arguing that it is rebuilding a destroyed asylum system and touting tougher enforcement measures at the border. The administration recently extended Temporary Protected Status for approximately 330,000 nationals from four countries. Accurately estimating the population of illegal immigrants can be murky and inexact, given the size and distribution of the population, with many living partially in the shadows. The number of illegal immigrants is difficult to gauge precisely, but the report argues that relaxed border restrictions and Biden policies have driven a 16% increase since he took office.

Washington Free Beacon: Months Before Hunter Biden Plea, DOJ Touted Crackdown on Gun-Related Crimes
Hunter Biden's plea deal for a drug offense has caused controversy, with Republicans alleging a two-tiered justice system. Six months before the plea deal, the Department of Justice had touted its tough-on-crime policies and crackdown on lying in connection with firearms transactions. Unlike the eight individuals listed by the Justice Department as having lied on federal firearms applications, none of whom received a 'sweetheart deal', Biden was offered a pretrial diversionary program that will clear him of all charges if completed. This has fueled allegations of favoritism due to his relationship with the White House.

The Epoch Times: The T-90M Tank, Cost Has a Quality All of Its Own
The T-90M Proryv-3 tank is being hailed as the best tank in the world by Russian officials and has a number of factors supporting its influence on the world stage. Hundreds of T-90M tanks are playing a major role in the Ukraine-Russia war and Russia has announced that it will be producing 1,500 T-90Ms per year, making it the most produced tank in the world. The T-90 is also the biggest selling tank of the 21st century, with over 1,500 sold to other countries.
In terms of cost, the T-90M is much cheaper than Tier 1 Western main battle tanks, such as the M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams and the Challenger 2, with a price tag of around $4.5 million. It also has lower fuel and operating costs, with a lower cost of operation and ease of maintenance than Western tanks. The T-90M has excellent armor, advanced stabilized fire control, a 125 mm smoothbore gun, and can fire laser-guided anti-tank missiles from its main gun. In one-on-one engagements, the T-90M can defeat any of its Western counterparts, although the outcome of engagements depends on various factors.

Fox News: Previous passenger on Titanic tourist submarine describes safety concerns, complaints: 'Hell down there'
Former passengers of OceanGate's Titan sub, one of whom called the experience a "suicide mission," have spoken out about their dives to explore the wreckage of the Titanic. One participant, Arthur Loibl, reported equipment failures during his dive and described the conditions of the sub as "hell" with little space, no chair, and no toilet. Chris Brown, who had placed a deposit for the $250,000 trip, backed out over safety concerns. OceanGate's Titan submersible has been missing since Sunday with five passengers onboard.

Fox News: Will Hunter get the same sentence as these rappers with comparable crimes?
Hunter Biden will face sentencing for his misdemeanor tax and gun crimes, but the plea deal he's agreed to means he may not face any prison time. Experts are divided on whether Biden will be let off lightly or face a harsher sentence. Meanwhile, comparisons with other public figures who have served time for similar crimes have sparked a conversation about whether America's justice system is two-tiered. The judge will now have to consider the sentencing factors and decide whether to approve the plea deal.
The Epoch Times: FAA Launches Monthly Training for Air Traffic Controllers After Dozens of Near-Misses
The FAA is launching a monthly training series aimed at strengthening the proficiency of air traffic controllers in all FAA facilities. The program, called "Stand Up for Safety," will focus on relevant safety topics and will include Voluntary Safety Reporting Program training to identify potential safety hazards.
This training comes after the FAA announced it is spending over $100 million to reduce the risk of runway incursions. There have been multiple near-misses reported this year, but the FAA reports that serious incursions were down in 2022. Despite this, there were still at least 1,633 runway incursions overall at US airports this year.
