Fox News: Gov. Noem will send 50 National Guard troops to southern border ‘warzone’ to help Texas
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem will send at least 50 members of the National Guard to the southern border to aid Texas with the immigration crisis, joining 12 other governors who have agreed to do so. Noem previously deployed troops to the border in 2021 at the request of Governor Greg Abbott. The press release cited the growing border crisis under President Biden's "willful inaction" and the increase in crime rates, drug overdoses, and human trafficking as reasons for the deployment.

The Federalist Papers: Hannity Kicks Off Trump Town Hall by Announcing It Will Be Very Different Than CNN's
Sean Hannity distinguished himself from CNN's Kaitlin Collins during his presidential town hall event with Donald Trump, refusing to engage in heated arguments and instead focusing on asking about the issues that matter. Trump was brought on stage to wild applause shortly after, and the event did not go viral in the same way as CNN's due to the lack of contentious clashes. One of the most contentious moments of CNN's town hall involved Collins questioning Trump about his actions during the Jan. 6 Capitol incursion.
The Federalist: GOP Officials: Feds' Interference Is 'Direct Attack' On US Elections
Republican officials Jay Ashcroft and Mac Warner have expressed concern about the federal government's interference in US elections, claiming that there is mounting evidence of interference from federal agencies favoring the Democratic Party. Missouri Secretary of State Ashcroft pointed to previously reported FBI investigations carried out during the 2016 presidential election into Donald Trump, based on unanalyzed intelligence, with similar interventions from the CIA during the 2020 election. West Virginia Secretary of State Warner has called for the resignation of former-Biden campaign adviser and now Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who allegedly played a role in the "infamous 2020 letter" rejecting reports about Hunter Biden's laptop as "Russian propaganda".
The Right Scoop: [UPDATED] – Biden takes a big fall on stage at graduation ceremony [VIDEO]
Joe Biden fell on stage during a graduation ceremony at the US Air Force Academy, but appeared to be fine and continued the ceremony. He had been walking back to his seat after giving a speech when he appeared to have tripped on a black sandbag. The White House said he was fine and there was no serious injury.
Red State: Comer Gets Big Win as Wray Caves Completely on Biden 'Bribery' Form
Republican House Oversight Chair James Comer subpoenaed the FD-1023 form from the FBI, which allegedly details an exchange of money for policy actions by then-Vice President Joe Biden. The FBI failed to comply with two deadlines, leading Comer to file contempt charges against FBI Director Christopher Wray. Wray then offered to turn over the document to Congress and it will be reviewed by Comer on Monday. The FD-1023 forms are used by FBI agents to record unverified reporting by a confidential human source, and the bureau cautioned that revealing unverified or possibly incomplete information could harm investigations, prejudice prosecutions or judicial proceedings, unfairly violate privacy or reputations, or create misimpressions in the public.
Liberty Nation: Silencing the China Lobbyists Shills on the Hill
US lobbyists are putting American firms and markets at a disadvantage by pushing Chinese products and investment in the PRC. However, winning both economic and military competition furthers the CCP goal of dominating the globe, which US legislators are failing to realize. Former legislators from both parties are lobbying their former colleagues to loosen or prevent regulatory legislation unfavorable to Chinese companies, including Hikvision, a PRC surveillance technology firm. With the formation of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, Congress may be the solution to this issue, but China spent $63 million lobbying the US government in 2020, making changing the status quo a hard sell.
Liberty Nation: A Biden Family Spider Web?
The shady money trail scandal haunts President Biden as polls show a majority of Americans believe he benefited from it.
Fox News: Louisiana Republicans resurrect bill banning gender surgery for minors
Louisiana lawmakers have resurrected a bill banning gender surgeries for residents under the age of 19. The bill, which received national attention after being narrowly killed in a legislative committee, has been recommitted to a different committee following pressure from Republicans. In response, anti-transgender activists and conservative political commentators criticized lawmakers and Republican Sen. Fred Mills, who cast last week's decisive vote, with some saying it is "the biggest mistake of his political career."
Fox News: Oregon Democrats plan to start fining GOP senators as boycott hits 1-month mark
Oregon’s longest Republican walkout, aimed at blocking hundreds of Democratic-led bills, including legislation on abortion, gender-affirming care and gun control, has now entered its fifth week. The Democratic Party in Oregon voted to begin fining the Republican senators $325, the daily rate of an average lawmaker, for every absence that deprives the chamber of a quorum. On Thursday, a procedural vote granted the Democrats the ability to compel absent members to attend and be fined. The state constitution allows a smaller number of members to meet and force attendance at the Senate, even if two-thirds are not present.

Fox News: US Army’s Fort Bragg in North Carolina strips its Confederate name in ceremony
Fort Bragg, one of the largest US military installations, has been renamed Fort Liberty as part of a wider military initiative motivated by the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests to rename bases named after Confederate soldiers. Other bases will be renamed for Black soldiers, US presidents, and trailblazing women, with Fort Polk in Louisiana set to become Fort Johnson, in honor of Sgt. William Henry Johnson, on June 13. The cost of renaming Fort Bragg is estimated to be $6.37m. Supporters hope the base renamings will lead to more substantial improvements for Black service members and better inclusivity in the military.
Originally named in 1918 after Confederate general Braxton Bragg, the base was named after soldiers born or raised nearby, without input from Black communities. Bases were named after Confederate soldiers during World War I and World War II as a "demonstration of reconciliation" with white southerners. Historian Nina Silber noted that most Confederate soldiers were not worthy of such celebration, with Bragg widely regarded as a poor leader who did not have the respect of his troops. The renaming of the base, seen as a small but important step in making the US Army more welcoming to Black service members, follows the national outrage over George Floyd’s killing by a white police officer.

Foreign Policy: Ukraine’s Counteroffensive Against Forced Russian Citizenship
As Ukraine prepares for a counteroffensive, Moscow accelerates its campaign to get Ukrainian civilians in occupied territories to accept Russian citizenship, with almost 1.5 million Ukrainians receiving Russian passports since September 2022. Locals report that business and property owners are targeted first, then indirectly used to pressure employees and raise tax revenue, and finally seen as potential threats to national security and deported. Russia’s brutish “filtration camps” reportedly grade Ukrainians by perceived disloyalty, with locals who do not hold Russian passports increasingly harassed at military checkpoints. The latest passportization steps could reflect a practical need for Moscow to get the most out of a conquered population, including for a good turnout from the “new territories” at Russia’s regional elections in September, and also to demonstrate confidence to civilians in a deeply insecure situation.

The Epoch Times: Foreign Agent Registry Would Provide Government with 'Important Tools,' Says Blair
The Canadian government is considering a foreign agent registry to combat foreign interference. Emergency Preparedness Minister Bill Blair said the registry would provide "important tools" and be a significant step in creating a "legislative response". Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino announced the consultations on the registry in March, which closed in May, but no timeline for its introduction has been given yet. A survey conducted in December 2022 found that almost 90% of Canadians supported the idea of a registry. Opposition MPs called for the government to speed up its creation.

Forbes: A Housing Expert Speaks: Soft Landing Or Chaos In 2024
Rising mortgage rates and a lack of supply are making the housing market increasingly unaffordable, with mortgage applications for home purchases halving since the 2020 peak. Although new home construction has been strong over the past couple of years, a lack of movement in existing homes, where the bulk of housing stock is usually available, means affordability and supply are issues. There is a risk that a slowdown in housing production, coupled with lenders tightening standards and credit flow concerns, could lead to a fall in prices if unemployment rises and demand weakens, with interest rate cuts failing to counter falling house prices.
Fox News: Tesla treasure trove found in China after 13 years now worth a record $2 million
Three brand-new Teslas, stored in shipping containers in China since 2010, are being sold by a Phoenix-based Tesla specialist, Gruber Motor Company. They were ordered by a now-bankrupt Chinese startup but never claimed, and were discovered in Quingdao, China. The collection includes an orange Base trim Roadster and two Roadster Sports in orange and red, all in original factory condition but with batteries that no longer function. The deadline for new bids is midnight Friday.
The Epoch Times: Wall Street Opens Higher After Jobs Data; Debt Default Averted
Wall Street opens higher on Friday as moderate wage growth in May eases concerns over rising inflation and investors react positively to the U.S. avoiding a debt default. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 126.01 points at the open, the S&P 500 opened higher by 19.99 points, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 89.50 points.
Breitbart: Labor Market Still Overheating: U.S. Economy Added 339,000 Jobs in May, Smashing Expectations
The US economy added more jobs than expected in May, with 339,000 new jobs, despite a rise in unemployment to 3.7%. The labor market has stayed strong, defying expectations that interest rate increases would push unemployment up. The number of job openings rose to 10.1 million, reaching the ten million threshold for the first time since January, indicating an unbalanced labor market.
The Epoch Times: JPMorgan Shuttering 25 Percent of First Republic Bank Branches in 2023
JPMorgan Chase will close over 20 First Republic branches by the end of the year due to the low transaction volumes. About 100 employees will be affected, but they will have the opportunity to apply for over 13,000 open positions within the company. First Republic Bank was acquired by JPMorgan Chase on May 1 after it was seized by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. in the wake of the collapses of regional banks Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank. The bank reassuring customers that their money was safe did little to prevent a run on deposits, which came despite numerous efforts by banking officials and the Biden administration to ease panic.
The Epoch Times: US Labor Market Remains Resilient as Economy Adds 339,000 New Jobs
The US economy added 339k new jobs in May, with unemployment rising to 3.7%. Government, professional and business services, and healthcare were the largest sectors hiring. Wage growth cooled slightly, with hourly earnings slowing to 4.3%. The number of layoffs surpassed 80k in May, up from 66,995 in April, with employers apparently "putting the brakes on hiring in anticipation of a slowdown", said Andrew Challenger, the Senior Vice President of Challenger. Private employers added 278k jobs in May, but payroll processor ADP also noted a broad-based slowdown in pay hikes, with Chief Economist Nela Richardson saying that wage-driven inflation may be less of a concern.

Daily Wire: Dismantling Disney: America’s Most Iconic Family Brand Is Now In Ruins
Disney, once viewed as a safe haven for family-friendly entertainment, has abandoned its prime directive in favor of pushing progressive messaging. The company's recent box office failures, subscription losses, and employee indoctrination with divisive cultural ideologies all show the negative impact of this shift. Disney's move toward woke messaging means that its iconic brand, which once reached out to audiences from all political and social backgrounds, is now strongly associated with the culture war. This change will have lasting consequences for the entertainment giant's future.

The Epoch Times: Family of College Student Who Died From COVID-19 Vaccine Sues Biden Administration
The family of a student who died from heart inflammation after receiving the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has sued the US government over the mandate for inoculation. The lawsuit alleges that the Department of Defense (DoD) wrongly promoted the jab and caused George Watts Jr. to be a part of its "medical experiment". The DoD and the Department of Justice declined to comment. Under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act, lawsuits may be filed against an individual who has engaged in "willful misconduct" that results in serious injury or death. The move comes amid ongoing debates over COVID-19 vaccine mandates and potential side effects.

The San Francisco Police Department is facing a staffing shortage crisis, and no arrests have been made. The store owner fears he may have to close his business if things don't change.

Glamour UK featured a pregnant transgender man on its June cover in honor of Pride month. American Thinker: Supreme Court rules 8-1 against unions' claimed right to destroy employer property during strikes, with just one justice not getting the memo
The Supreme Court ruled 8-1 in favor of Glacier Northwest Inc. to revive a lawsuit against the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, alleging that a strike damaged its product. Even the other liberals on the court went along with the majority, 8-1, in the ruling. Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson served as the lonely dissenter of the decision, defending the union and its right to apply economic harm on their employer. Brown Jackson is deemed a creature of union interests and not an impartial justice in this instance.
Forbes: Bloomie’s Is How Bloomingdale’s Can Shrink Itself To Growth
Macy's Inc. has attempted to downsize its number of stores over the last five years in order to cut costs, but it hasn't been successful. However, it has found a profitable model in Bloomingdale's, which has expanded to 57 stores, despite the company's shrinking trend. Bloomingdale's attracts high-income customers who are relatively unaffected by economic downturns, providing Macy's with a solid niche market to build upon. In particular, its mini version, Bloomie's, will further expand with four new stores, catering to the demand for meaningful shopping experiences.
Bloomie's is proving to be a successful model for Macy's Inc. as it looks to grow while downsizing its other stores. Because it targets a high-income customer base, it is better suited to weather economic downturns. Bloomie's is also designed for expansion, with plans for three types of stores, including in-fill, replacement, and new market locations, tailoring the shopping experience to local customers at each location. Bloomie's success in different urban areas removes the need for large, cost-intensive flagship stores and instead opts for smaller, more specialized stores.
Forbes: American Airlines Pilots Reject Plan To Explore Merger With ALPA
American Airlines (AA) pilots have declined an initial offer to leave their union to join the Air Line Pilots Association. In a vote on 21 July, directors of the Allied Pilots Association were tied 10-10 on a proposal to form a merger negotiations committee. In order for any decision to investigate an affiliation or merger to be made, it requires the support of two-thirds of the APA’s board, according to the group's constitution. The AA Pilots for ALPA, which represents a minority faction of the union, said a union election could still be pursued to replace the APA, which represents 15,000 American pilots.
Flag And Cross: There's A Fish And Chips Crisis In The UK, Here's Why
Imports of cod and haddock for fish and chips by Brits widen the gap between what is caught and what is eaten, warns a University of Essex study. The dish was considered a vital ingredient of the war effort in both the First and Second World Wars but new policy changes since the mid-1970s, particularly the introduction of Exclusive Economic Zones and the UK joining the European Union, have caused increasing reliance on seafood imports and decreased domestic landings. Even if Brits changed their preferences to fish more common to local waters, like herring and mackerel, seafood production would still be unable to meet domestic demand or government healthy eating recommendations.
