National Review: Senate Passes Biden-McCarthy Debt-Ceiling Deal, Averting Default
The Senate approved a debt-ceiling deal just in time to avoid a default, with Democrats leading the charge and some GOP concessions. The deal suspends the debt limit until 2025 and includes spending cuts, work requirement tightening for welfare, expediting of natural-gas pipeline in West Virginia, and rescinding unused Covid funds among other measures.
Red State: Federal Judge in Disney v DeSantis Recuses Himself and Criticizes the Gov's Legal Team
Judge recuses himself from Disney vs. DeSantis case due to concerns of potential bias. Disney alleges retaliation by DeSantis and a board that oversees government services at Disney World. The Federalist: Grassley: I'v Seen The Whistleblower Doc The FBI Is Hiding
Sen. Chuck Grassley has seen the FBI’s summary of a confidential human source’s claims that then-Vice President Joe Biden agreed to accept money from a foreign national to affect policy decisions. Grassley pledged to make the FBI report public as soon as the bureau complies with a congressional subpoena to provide an official copy of the FD-1023 form. The subpoena and related correspondence indicate the whistleblower has intimate knowledge of the CHS’s claims, with Grassley revealing that the FD-1023 form was dated June 30, 2020, and alleged a bribe of $5 million.
Grassley having access to the FD-1023 form bolsters the strength of the various characterizations he has made over the last year, such as that the CHS was “trusted.” Grassley has run down the various leads the FBI allegedly deep-sixed. Given that Biden led the Obama administration’s policy initiatives in Ukraine, where Hunter Biden was also on the payroll of Burisma, it seems more likely the CHS had intel related to influence-peddling there. The senator had access to additional documentary support for the whistleblower’s claims. Wray continues to defy the subpoena, but in revealing he has already read the FD-1023 form, Grassley also eviscerated the FBI’s position that releasing the form will put sources at risk.

Fox News: Blaming banks for the environment is not good business
Banks have played a critical role in society by facilitating the flow of needed funds, providing a reservoir of investment dollars, and fostering economic progress, production and profit. However, their role is now being challenged as the future of many banks is inextricably tied to their policies and practices on climate, energy and the environment, which portends more risk than reward. Environmental activists are now seeking to penalize banks for doing their core business – lending money, and frivolous, headline-seeking litigation against banks for lawfully lending money is antithetical to international norms of commerce and is patently anti-capitalist.
