Fox News: China wants to be energy superpower. Here’s how they can be stopped
President Biden predicts a "thaw" in US-China relations, but the Department of Energy revokes a $200M grant to a Texas-based battery company due to its China connections. China is the world's largest importer of coal, oil, and gas, and officials have said that ensuring energy security is foundational for regime stability. President Xi Jinping wants China to become a global energy superpower rivaling the US. China is capitalizing on the energy transition and commands a market share in global clean energy manufacturing. The US must close the gap through smart industrial policy and onshoring critical mineral mining and processing to weaken China's supply chain chokehold. The US must also counter China's energy initiative in Africa and South America to ensure continued American energy dominance.

Forbes: Diego Simeone Open To FC Barcelona Buying Joao Felix From Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has said that FC Barcelona could try to sign Joao Felix, but emphasized that the Portuguese winger is an Atletico Madrid player. Felix, who was bought for €126 million from Benfica in 2019, is currently on loan at Chelsea. With Mauricio Pochettino replacing Graham Potter at Chelsea, the Blues will not make the temporary deal permanent, opening the possibility for a sale. However, Atleti is not known to sell to Barca on the cheap, and the fee would be a tall order for the Catalans who are currently trying to convince La Liga they can make the numbers work on Lionel Messi's potential return.
