The Epoch Times: Zhang Youxia, Xi Jinping's Ally in the Chinese Military
Zhang Youxia has played a critical role in helping Chinese leader Xi Jinping control the military and stabilize the situation. Zhang's father was a general in the Chinese Communist Party's military arm and was inseparable from Mao Zedong as his bodyguard during the war. Zhang and Xi have a deep personal relationship. Zhang's support has underpinned Xi's rule, with Zhang leading a team to remove several key officials within the security bureau. The New American: Why Democrats Dominate the Cities
Democrats' dominance in major US cities did not happen overnight and was not always the case. Originally the party of southern and western farmers, Democrats expanded their voter base through deliberate efforts to court the urban vote. While Republicans once held immense influence in cities like Philadelphia and Chicago, their opposition to organized labor opened the door for Democrats to embrace urban workers and form a powerful coalition including southerners, farmers, western populists, and urban workers. This New Deal Coalition gave Democrats control of both houses of Congress for all but four years from 1932-1980. However, the coalition ultimately broke up as Democrats found themselves embracing black urban workers and the Civil Rights movement caused the southern white vote to shift to Republicans. If Republicans want to break the blue wall, they must renew their emphasis on working and middle-class voters.

Israel is reluctant to press Jordan for Tamimi's re-arrest after it was already released, while the US does not want to further challenge Jordan's position, which is seen as a key strategic partner in the Middle East.

Twitter initially vowed to censor a Daily Wire documentary “What is a Woman?” with only a custom landing page, but later allowed the film to stream without significant restrictions after criticism from CEO Jeremy Boreing in a Twitter thread, including an allegation of hateful content because it contained two instances of “misgendering.” The film later received a surprise endorsement from Twitter’s owner, Elon Musk, who tweeted: “Every parent should watch this.” Despite Musk’s tweet, and with the resignations of two Twitter employees, there was a delay in the documentary being made available until changes were promised by Musk, that it would now not be recommended to non-followers and no advertising would be placed next to it.
