The Economic Innovation Group reports that over two million people left American cities between July 2020 and July 2022. White Americans were found to have left in the largest numbers, which the media has failed to acknowledge. The American Spectator: Climate Alarmists Swing From Megadrought to El Niño
The megadrought in the West has ended following rainfall and snow, with some reservoirs filling up and snowpack in the Rockies up more than 200% in some areas. Yet filling Lake Mead and Lake Powell again is a pipe dream, with the Colorado River still overallocated. Some states may be forced to reduce consumption by 13% for the next three years, with the federal government paying cities, farmers, Indian tribes and irrigation districts not to use their water allocations. Edward Ring in the Wall Street Journal argues that California could solve the Colorado River water crises by updating its infrastructure and using its rainwater and snowpack, but the state would have to stand up to environmentalist lobbying that calls for rationing, rather than supply, policies.
