Daily Wire: ‘We’ve Been Abandoned’: Border Ranchers Recount Chaos On Southern Border
Ranchers in Texas describe feeling abandoned by the Biden administration in the face of illegal immigration surges. Wayne King, a rancher with 8,000 acres in Texas, has seen border crossers cut his fence and has been forced to repair it to keep his African game animals from escaping onto the highway. Kate Hobbs and her husband have had trouble with drug smugglers and death threats, while Hobbs has found lost young immigrants, including babies, on their property. Living on the border not only has great personal risk but also puts a financial burden on the American middle class, which currently spends $151 billion a year on illegal immigration.
Breitbart: Biden Admin Blames Medical Staff for In-Custody Death of Migrant Child in May
An eight-year-old migrant girl died due to medical staff failures at a Border Patrol detention facility in Harlingen, Texas, according to a report from US Customs and Border Protection. On May 17, CBP officials announced the girl's death after she suffered a “medical emergency.” Despite requests from the child's mother, the medical staff did not transfer her to a hospital, and a nurse practitioner denied four requests from the mother to transport the child by ambulance to a hospital, according to the statement. The Biden administration is deploying a cadre of United States Public Health Service uniformed clinicians to several CBP detention facilities next week to provide additional medical guidance and oversight capability.

Breitbart: Australians Say Cap Migration to Curb Housing Prices
Most Australians support capping immigration until affordable housing is increased, according to a May 30 poll. The Guardian survey revealed 53% of left-wing voters also backed the move, along with 70% of the center-right party. The deal would result in an influx of Indian college graduates, who would accept low pay and cramped accommodation to stay permanently in Australia. The move would likely result in displacement of young and old Australians from decent housing in coastal cities. With housing already expensive and the rise of property investors, the issue of immigration is a critical topic in Australia.
Fox News: Pence will face no charges from DOJ, FBI investigation into retention of classified records
Former Vice President Mike Pence will not face charges over the alleged improper retention of classified records during his time in the Trump administration, according to sources. The Justice Department has closed the investigation into the matter and sent a letter to Pence's attorneys informing them that no criminal charges will be brought. Pence is expected to announce his 2024 presidential campaign soon.
Newsbusters: Paul Krugman Sobs Green Energy a Victim of ‘Anti-Woke Mind Virus’ in Texas
The New York Times’ Paul Krugman accused Texas GOP lawmakers of having an "anti-woke mind virus" for favouring fossil fuels over green energy. Krugman claimed that the Republicans have turned against renewable energy by supporting legislation that could block some renewable energy products. He referred to “greed” as one potential motivation, but concluded that anti-wokeness was the real driver of GOP energy policy. This is despite Texas recently experiencing a power crisis that was partially attributed to an overreliance on green energy during a cold snap.
Krugman defended renewable energy, calling it just good business, but Manhattan Institute adjunct fellow Jonathan Lesser warned that "we're going to have to get used to more blackouts" if the state continues down the green energy path. Steve Milloy of the Energy and Environment Legal Institute Legal Senior Policy Fellow critiqued Krugman's handling of the subject, accusing him of being "surrounded by taxpayer parasites surfing taxpayer subsidies". Meanwhile, Krugman claimed that Republicans use "cancel culture" against anything they see as "woke".
The Blaze: 'Fixed': Elon Musk bypasses his company's censorship efforts and tweets Matt Walsh's 'What Is a Woman' movie himself
Conservative commentator Matt Walsh's film "What Is a Woman?" faced apparent censorship efforts on its Thursday Twitter debut. Elon Musk posted a link to the video on his own page on Friday morning, indicating that Twitter's censorial efforts were a mistake made by many people at Twitter. Musk also posted, "Every parent should watch this." The original post shared by Musk now has over 22.7 million views, 40.1K retweets, and 99.7K likes.
Amid the Twitter turmoil, the company's head of trust and safety, Ella Irwin, stepped down. Musk suggested the departures on the trust and safety team were "Director related." Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing detailed the deal that his organization made with Twitter to provide the film on the platform. After Twitter reviewed the film, the company not only reneged on the deal but suggested Twitter "would actually limit the reach of the film and label it as 'hateful conduct' because of 'misgendering.'" Musk responded Thursday afternoon, writing, "It is definitely allowed."
Fox News: Biden admin issues 20-year oil drilling ban near Indigenous site, ignoring pleas from Native Americans
The Biden administration has implemented a 20-year ban on new oil and gas leasing near an Indigenous cultural site in New Mexico. The ban prohibits fossil fuel and mineral leasing within a 10-mile buffer zone around the Chaco Culture National Historical Park in northwestern New Mexico, which amounts to a withdrawal of approximately 336,404 acres of public lands from mineral leasing near the site. Native Americans in the region consider this area as sacred and the ban is a fulfillment of President Biden's commitments to Indian Country as stated by Deb Haaland, Interior Secretary. Native American tribes dependent on fossil fuel resources have criticized the move for being a double standard as it would have a "devastating impact" on tribal members who have a financial interest in drilling in the area.
The Federalist: DHS Calls Your Thoughts 'Critical Infrastructure' To Censor You
Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry testified before the House Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, alleging that the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) within the Department of Homeland Security has engaged in censorship under the guise of “critical infrastructure security.” CISA and other federal agencies are using private entities to orchestrate unconstitutional government censorship, flagging dissenting beliefs for Big Tech companies to silence in an attempt to bypass the First Amendment. Landry called for consequences including the termination of federal employment and forfeiture of retirement benefits for those who have betrayed their oaths of office by silencing what the White House has characterized as the “low-quality speech” of Americans.
CISA claims to address risks from “foreign influence operations and disinformation,” but Landry’s case exposed a widespread censorship operation, including efforts to control election outcomes and silence speech critical of the regime on Covid-19 lockdowns and FBI corruption. According to Landry, CISA and other government agencies use three strategies to push companies to censor: “public pressure … coercion … and deception.” He called for Congress to pass a law criminalizing federal government censorship and establishing recourse for silenced Americans, involving punitive and monetary damages against the censors.

The Epoch Times: Sunak: Ukraine’s Rightful Place Is in NATO
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak believes that Ukraine's rightful place is in NATO, and the country should have all the necessary support for a successful counteroffensive against Russia. Sunak made the comments after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the European Political Community summit in Moldova. The summit also saw support extended to Moldova, an ex-Soviet republic of 2.5 million people, which is seeking EU accession while remaining wary of Russia. The UK has pledged support for Moldova, which has accepted thousands of refugees from Ukraine since Russia's invasion last year.
The Federalist Papers: Trump Reveals 'Very Nasty' Thing He Said to Putin That Kept Him Out of Ukraine
Former President Trump claimed he deterred a Russian invasion of Ukraine by threatening to strike Moscow with military force. He made the assertion in a town hall hosted by Fox News's Sean Hannity and suggested the threat dissuaded Putin to the extent that the Russian leader thought twice about any military aggression. Trump made similar remarks to a golfing partner soon after Putin began a full-fledged invasion of Ukraine in 2020, according to Yahoo. The former president also claimed he had the same conversation about Taiwan with China's President Xi, who changed his behavior towards Taiwan after the exchange.

Fox News: US authorities expand slots on app for asylum seekers near Mexican border for second time in less than a month
U.S. authorities have expanded mobile app slots to seek asylum at Mexico border crossings. The move follows high demand and is intended to offer "safe and orderly options" in response to criticism about illegal immigration. The Biden administration is encouraging legal pathways - including CBP One and parole - and a general ban on asylum for those entering the U.S. via other countries like Mexico. However, demand continues to outweigh supply, with some 150 people, including families with young children camped on a Tijuana sidewalk hoping to enter San Diego.
Foreign Policy: Is Europe Serious About Self-Defense, or Free-Riding?
Sweden is expected to join NATO, pending approval from Turkish President Erdogan. European leaders are debating whether or not Europe can afford to rely on American voters for their security. While the traditional model, where the US leads and European powers contribute, has worked for three-quarters of a century, there is a shift in the global circumstances that is prompting re-evaluation of this approach. Some argue that a more hands-off approach to European security, where primary responsibility for defense is placed on European states, making the United States more of a backup and less of a first resort, would be best.

National Review: JPMorgan Downgrades Target Stock amid Backlash over LGBT Merchandise
Amid a consumer backlash over its LGBT product campaign, Target's stock has been downgraded by JP Morgan from overweight to neutral. The demotion comes as Target’s sales, 51% of which come from discretionary categories like apparel, hardline, and home, are declining due to boycotts. On Wednesday, Target’s stock hit its lowest closing price since August 11, 2020, its longest losing streak in 23 years, according to Market Watch. JP Morgan's Christopher Horvers suggests that Target’s traffic could turn negative after a run of 12 consecutive positive quarters due to consumer pressures and recent controversies.
The shopping rebellion among conservatives was sparked by the revelation that Target had contracted with a vendor that sells Satanist merchandise to create products for its “PRIDE” collection. While Target does not sell the Satanist-inspired products, the retail giant sealed a collaboration with Abprallen to create pride-related products. The retail giant also came under fire after social-media users highlighted that it was selling “tuck-friendly” swim suits, designed to conceal the male genitalia. Christian Major League Baseball player, Anthony Bass, speaking out against Target’s embrace of LGBT-themed merchandise upped the ante on the controversy.
Red State: Target Faces Worst Losses in Years, Even More Bad News With Assessment by JPMorgan
Target, following its "go woke, go broke" strategy, has experienced a stock plunge leading to a loss of over $13 billion. This is the company's longest losing streak in 23 years, with shares falling 1.7% in premarket trading Thursday. JPMorgan downgraded Target to neutral from overweight, citing "too many concerns rising" regarding the company and the likelihood of a decline in sales due to consumers pulling back spending. The company has been negotiating with AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Dish to secure low-cost wholesale prices, which could offer plans to Prime members for as low as $10 a month. While Amazon has confirmed that it is "always exploring" new benefits for its customers, it has no immediate plans to introduce wireless services.

Fox News: Teens tried to stop Cameron Robbins before he jumped off Bahamas cruise, passenger's parent says
An 18-year-old Baton Rouge student, Cameron Robbins, jumped off a Bahamas cruise ship and vanished in "shark-infested" waters northeast of Nassau. The small, pirate themed cruise ship, carrying hundreds of high school graduates, was returning from a "booze cruise" when the incident occurred. Robbins was dared to jump overboard and several friends tried to stop him before he took the plunge. He was lost at sea, and came under speculation of being encountered by a shark. The family requested marine experts to not entertain this theory any longer, and it is no longer officially being investigated. Robbins was designated as "lost at sea" by authorities and a memorial service is to be held on Sunday in Baton Rouge. The cruise was not sanctioned by University Laboratory School, where Robbins had just graduated. It was planned by an independent company called GradWeek. Robbins' last posts on Instagram include pictures of him surrounded by his family and friends.

Fox News: Alabama lawmakers give final approval to allow stiffer punishments for those involved in organized crime
Alabama's legislature has passed a bill allowing for lengthier prison terms for those involved in organised crime and street gangs. The legislation must now be approved by Governor Kay Ivey. It expands the legal definition of a "criminal enterprise" to a group of three or more people who engage in criminal activity, with enhancements to be levied when prosecutors can show a defendant was a member of the entity, or when a gun is used in the commission of a crime. Law enforcement officials have praised the bill, which received broad bipartisan support after being broadened from an earlier, more contentious definition of organised crime that targeted street gangs specifically.
