House Censures Schiff for Spreading 'False Accusations' of Trump-Russia Collusion
The House voted to censure Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) for spreading false accusations of Trump's collusion with Russia in the 2016 election. The vote passed 213 to 209, with Democrats opposing it and Republicans celebrating the measure on social media. McCarthy removed Schiff from his position on Intel for the same reasons cited in the censure resolution, which required the Ethics Committee to investigate his "falsehoods, misrepresentations, and abuses of sensitive information." Schiff has been fundraising off the disciplinary action against him, sending what Insider found to be at least 20 fundraising emails, in addition to social media posts soliciting donations.

Australia Could Fine Twitter Up To $475,000 A Day Over Hate Speech Concerns
Australia warned Twitter about an increase in hate speech reports it has received since Elon Musk bought the platform, threatening daily fines until the platform provides information on what it’s “doing to tackle online hate.” The nation’s eSafety commissioner said the increase in hate speech came as Musk slashed Twitter’s staff by about 80%, cutting members of its trust and safety teams. The department said that if Twitter doesn’t respond to the notice within 28 days, it could face up to $476,000 of daily financial penalty for the breach. The notice brings back to limelight the role of free speech versus online hate speech on social media platforms.

The Epoch Times: Stock Market Today: Drops for Tech Stocks Sap More Momentum From Wall Street’s Rally
Stock Market Today: Drops for Tech Stocks Sap More Momentum From Wall Street’s Rally
Stocks on Wall Street were mixed on Wednesday, with the S&P 500 down by 0.5% and the Nasdaq composite tumbling by 1.2%, following drops in technology stocks. Ann Miletti, head of active equity at Allspring Global Investments, said she believed a US recession is likely to happen shortly, because of how fast the Federal Reserve has raised interest rates. While the bonds market saw yields cutting back on their earlier gains, the banking system in the US remains subdued, with smaller regional banks having taken a huge hit from the high interest rates. Support has been provided to the industry, however, this could slow down the economy by making it tougher for smaller and mid-sized businesses to get access to loans.

The Epoch Times: Health Professionals Sound Alarm on Potential ‘Deadlier’ Outbreak on the Horizon
Health Professionals Sound Alarm on Potential ‘Deadlier’ Outbreak on the Horizon
Dengue, the fastest-spreading tropical disease in the world, is a public health crisis that has affected approximately 129 countries. An average of 400 million cases is reported annually, and the virus carries an average mortality rate of up to 20 percent for untreated patients who develop hemorrhagic symptoms. The mosquito that carries dengue, Aedes aegypti, has allowed the disease to spread at an alarming rate, putting many health care systems in equatorial climates in danger of being blindsided by dengue outbreaks. U.S. health care officials, while wary of the situation, have warned that if a particularly virulent strain of dengue occurred, it could overwhelm the U.S. health care system.

If dengue continues to spread, it could cause severe health consequences for millions of Americans who suffer from a chronic illness like diabetes, obesity, or heart disease. Even though dengue's progression within U.S. borders is likely to be gradual, hospitalization rates are for dengue are higher than those for COVID-19, and hospitalizations could quickly spiral out of control for patients with severe cases. Training and education of medical staff in dengue and other vector-borne diseases are pivotal mitigation strategies that could go a long way to managing the problem. Fast, accurate testing and destroying mosquito breeding zones are also effective weapons to combat the virus.

Collusion Between Feds, Big Tech on COVID Censorship Violated First Amendment, State Officials Say
Missouri and Louisiana sue the US federal government over COVID-19 policies that allegedly violated First Amendment rights by colluding with Big Tech to censor dissenting voices. The states claimed that there was a significant violation of the First Amendment in the nation's history. Louisiana's solicitor general, Elizabeth Murrill, testified that the policies had consequences and the censorship was extensive.

The government's pandemic policies were unnecessary and arbitrary, according to Rep. Brad Wenstrup. The government had a compelling interest in protecting the public, but according to Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey, this interest was weaponized to force Big Tech to suppress speech. The government began an avenue to force Big Tech to put systems and policies in place to deal with dissent, according to Bailey.

WATCH: Riley Gaines Destroys Dem Witness Who Said Men Can't Beat Serena Williams
During a Senate hearing on LGBTQ+ rights, activist Kelley Robinson claimed that female athletes have no reason to fear transgender athletes. She attempted to prove her point by citing tennis star Serena Williams as an example, saying that men claiming they could beat Williams in tennis are wrong, as Williams is stronger than them. However, former NCAA swimmer Riley Gaines came armed with true facts, saying that both Williams sisters lost to the 203rd-ranked male tennis player in 1998 and that female athletes can't compete at the same level as men. This episode brings attention to the ongoing controversy over transgender athletes in women's sports.

Multimillionaire Backed out of Titanic Sub Trip, Claims Company Was 'Cutting Too Many Corners'
The group exploring the Titanic wreckage is missing and presumed dead, but recent sonobuoy detections have sparked hope of possible survivors, although fresh air supply runs out Thursday. Digital marketing magnate, Chris Brown, was one of the first supporters of the project and had paid a ten per cent deposit on the voyage, but cancelled after learning that the company was cutting corners and using gaming-style controls. Brown said the controls they had to pilot the craft were “a modified Logitech gaming controller — complete with twin thumbsticks and four colourful buttons, that allow the operator to manoeuvre the sub.”

OceanGate Expeditions promo video for Titanic sub tourism describes landing 'on the seabed' near famed wreck
Despite glowing testimonials from previous participants, revelations have emerged of repeated warnings from a former employee that the OceanGate submersible, which has been exploring the Titanic's remains, posed catastrophic safety problems. David Lochridge, the director of marine operations, wrote a 2018 report that stated that the vessel needed more testing and passengers might be at risk at "extreme depths," according to a lawsuit filed in Seattle that year. Meanwhile, veteran explorer Josh Gates revealed the sub "did not perform well" when he went on a dive aboard the vessel himself. The U.S. Coast Guard is leading the search for the sub that disappeared on Sunday off the North Atlantic Ocean with five people on board.

Other passengers have also expressed concerns, with one journalist who tried the machine last year left lost for two-and-a-half hours. The submersible is part of a planned expedition to visit the wreck of the Titanic, and rescue operations have been mounted to locate the vessel.
