Fox News: Biden's Dem challenger RFK Jr. has major complaint about how the 'mainstream media' is covering 2024 race
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. alleges unfair treatment by mainstream media despite polling in the mid to upper teens in the latest Democratic presidential nomination public opinion surveys. Kennedy claims that despite his poll position, the mainstream media has dismissed his candidacy as an irrelevancy. He alleges places like CNN have not treated him fairly, noting that they have invited many of the Republican candidates who have less polling support than he does to do town halls and express themselves on their important TV shows.
Kennedy visited New Hampshire, where he was interviewed about his standing in the polls and his plan to challenge President Biden. He is one of two nationally known Democrats challenging Biden for the 2024 nomination. Kennedy urged Biden to participate in the New Hampshire primary and pointed out that the state's four electoral votes could decide the 2024 election. Despite his polling numbers, it is unclear whether Kennedy will be able to secure a spot on the ballot in New Hampshire due to the DNC's change in the nominating calendar.

Fox News: Gun-control Democrats, groups silent after Hunter Biden charged with firearms felony
Prominent gun-control Democrats and advocacy groups have stayed silent on Hunter Biden's felony gun charge and plea deal regarding two misdemeanor counts of tax evasion. Without the plea agreement, Hunter could face up to 10 years in prison on the firearm charge and 12 months on each tax charge. Republicans accuse Hunter of selling his father's influence overseas and that this plea deal creates an illusion that justice has been served. The news came a week after former President Trump pleaded not guilty to 37 federal felony charges.
Fox News: Oversight Republicans probe Biden admin's 'bait-and-switch' crackdown on fossil fuel power plants
Republicans on the House Oversight Committee are investigating the EPA's new proposal to impact fossil fuel power plant emissions. The GOP lawmakers expressed concern that the agency did not consider the cost impacts and technological feasibility of the rule announced last month, and asked EPA Administrator, Michael Regan, to extend the public feedback period. Overall, the EPA's rule puts pressure on companies to lower pollution by 90% in the next two decades. Critics argue that this objective is unattainable and unaffordable for many power plants, and would result in decreasing generating capacity.

National Review: Federal Judge Declares Arkansas Law Limiting Gender-Transition Treatments for Minors Unconstitutional
A federal judge in Arkansas has struck down a state law banning gender-transition treatments for minors. The ban prohibited hormone treatments, surgery, and puberty blockers. Families of four young persons challenged the law on constitutional grounds, claiming violations of the Equal Protection Clause, Due Process Clause, and the First Amendment. The judge agreed with the plaintiffs, holding that the law discriminated against transgender people and violated due process rights of parents, and the First Amendment by impeding physicians from referring patients for such treatments. Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders plans to appeal the decision.

Fox News: EU unveils massive, multi-year plan to rebuild Ukraine
The European Union has proposed a dedicated financing instrument to provide up to $55 billion to rebuild Ukraine from 2024 to 2027. The “Ukraine Facility” will be used to promote recovery, modernization and sustain macro-financial stability while implementing key reforms for EU accession and to transition towards a green, digital, and inclusive economy. Contributions from other donors and revenue generated by frozen Russian assets will be used as a contribution to Ukraine’s recovery.
Allies at the Ukraine Recovery Conference urged private-sector companies to invest and revive its economy to attract the investment the country urgently needs. The US pledged $1.3bn, with more than $500m dedicated to restore and improve Ukraine's battered energy grid. Britain pledged $305m in aid and $3.8bn in World Bank loan guarantees for Ukraine, with BT, Virgin, Philips and Hyundai Engineering among more than 400 companies from 38 countries committing to invest in the country. Many say Ukraine needs the equivalent of the Marshall Plan for rebuilding, with its infrastructure having been decimated by Russian attacks even before the collapse of the Kakhovka dam.

Forbes: What Is Likely Happening With The PGA Tour And LIV Golf Merger?
The PGA Tour and LIV Golf's proposed "merger" remains under government investigation, leading to speculation on where matters currently stand. The Hart-Scott-Rodino Act of 1976 requires companies to submit certain paperwork and documents to federal antitrust agencies for review prior to commencing a merger. If these materials spark concerns, then either the Department of Justice or the Federal Trade Commission may halt a proposed merger temporarily by submitting a Second Request for Information. The PGA Tour and LIV Golf should be presently in a waiting game, and any public announcements regarding the transaction are not expected to occur for some time.
The form of the new company that would be created if the transaction moves forward should make little legal difference in the antitrust process, but not all mergers that undergo agency scrutiny ultimately clear the regulatory hurdles. The PGA Tour and LIV Golf should expect silence to continue for quite some time forward on their proposed "merger." They risk incurring civil penalties of up to $42,530 per day if they fail to file Hart-Scott Rodino paperwork where it is deemed legally necessary. The parties involved have an incentive to stay silent, and the public cannot be certain where matters presently stand.

A Canadian P-3 aircraft found the noises after days of radio silence since the vessel lost contact with Canadian research vessel Polar Prince on Sunday. If the noisemakers are the missing passengers, they could be using Morse code to alert rescuers, according to friends of the missing explorers. An ROV could be used to manipulate the ballast that may potentially be weighing the vessel down on the ocean floor if it is eventually located.
