The Epoch Times: House Votes to Censure Adam Schiff
House Votes to Censure Adam Schiff
The House of Representatives voted to censure Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) for allegedly spreading misinformation against former President Donald Trump concerning Russian collusion after two similar resolutions were brought forward. The vote was 213-209, with six present. Schiff has been referred to the House Ethics Committee for investigation. The censure did not include a $16 million fine or accusations that Schiff used his position to collect political donations. Republicans welcomed the censure, while Democrats contended that it was just an in-kind contribution to Schiff's 2024 Senate campaign.

Adam Schiff censured by House for ‘false’ allegations on Trump-Russia collusion
The House voted to censure Rep. Adam Schiff for promoting baseless claims about Trump's collusion with Russia, with every Republican and six Democrats voting for the resolution. It was the second attempt to censure Schiff; the first failed because of a proposed fine of $16 million. The resolution's author, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, accused Schiff of abusing his position and altering the course of the country with his lies about Trump. Schiff spoke in his own defense and thanked Republicans for the move, saying, "Your words tell me that I have been effective in the defense of our democracy."

Fox News: Grassley, Graham demand FBI turn over key document linked to Biden allegations
Grassley, Graham demand FBI turn over key document linked to Biden allegations
Republican senators Chuck Grassley and Lindsey Graham have written to the FBI demanding an unredacted copy of an FD-1023 form recording interviews with a “highly credible” confidential source who disclosed details of multiple meetings with a top executive of Ukrainian gas firm Burisma Holdings over several years. The document alleges that President Joe Biden was involved in a criminal bribery scheme with a foreign national, with influence over US policy decisions. Graham has complained that the FBI’s failure to produce the document means it has not allowed the oversight required by Congress and the American people.

The confidential source details discussions about how to gain US oil rights and get involved with a US oil company, which included the question of Hunter Biden’s role on Burisma Holdings’ board. The executive allegedly described him as “dumb” and said $5m was paid to Joe and Hunter Biden as a “retainer” payment in connection to several issues including an investigation by a Ukrainian prosecutor. The form also references “the Big Guy”, purportedly a reference to Joe Biden.

Red State: CNN’s Daniel Dale Gives up the Game in ‘Fact Check’ Request Posted on Twitter
CNN’s Daniel Dale Gives up the Game in ‘Fact Check’ Request Posted on Twitter
CNN "fact-checkers" used Biden's denial about involvement in the DOJ's targeting of Trump as "proof" that he played no role, despite evidence suggesting otherwise. Leading the way in this was Daniel Dale, who asked partisan gun control group DeCAGV for help with a fact check. Meanwhile, Dale has not fact-checked Biden in almost 90 days, but has fact-checked Twitter users like Stephen Miller who speculated Dale's fact check may be related to Hunter Biden. This is not unlikely given the plea deal announced Tuesday and the Democrat privilege.

‘Any One of Us Could Be Next': Judiciary Chairman Jordan Warns of Feds’ Assault on Civil Liberties
Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) warned that American citizens' constitutional civil liberties are being disregarded and family members of whistleblowers are being punished by the government officials who violate those liberties. Civil liberties attorneys agree with Jordan’s evaluation and accuse President Biden and his administration as well as numerous federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies of taking part in the constitutional violations. Liberty Counsel's founder Mat Staver believes that there is a real erosion of a fundamental right of freedom of speech and states that the threat to civil liberties is not limited to particular politicians or political parties.

Trump On Fauci: I Was ‘Not Actually Allowed To Fire Him, But I Wouldn’t Usually Let That Get In My Way’
Former President Trump claims he did not fire Dr. Anthony Fauci due to legal restrictions, but that he would have normally done so during a Fox News interview. Trump boasted that people tell him he saved 100 million people around the world, but he doesn't like discussing it as a Republican. He criticized vaccine mandates and shifted to attacking Florida's Governor Ron DeSantis, who he claimed "loved" Fauci. However, he acknowledges that people who love vaccines tend to be more Democrat than they are Republican.

‘Part Of The Cover-Up’: Gaetz Puts Durham On Blast During Hearing
Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) called out Special Counsel John Durham for allegedly engaging in a "cover-up" of the Russia investigation during a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee. Gaetz focused on areas of interest to Republicans that Durham's inquiry failed to resolve, including Joseph Mifsud, the professor who allegedly discussed Russia having "dirt" on Trump's rival Hillary Clinton to George Papadopolous, and phones used by members of Mueller's team being wiped. Durham denied Gaetz's accusations, calling them "offensive."

Gaetz also faulted Durham for not charging enough people, specifically naming former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith who pleaded guilty to falsifying a document used to justify FISA surveillance on onetime Trump campaign foreign policy adviser Carter Page. Gaetz criticized Durham's report for "omissions" and the overall "lack of work" by the special counsel. The clash continued as the two men debated Mifsud and the phones used by Mueller's team being wiped, with Durham stating that he pursued the facts as best he could.

BEASTMODE: Sen. Kennedy to Ethics Expert: ‘My Aunt’s Facebook Page Has More Credibility Than You Do’
Senator John Kennedy (R., La.) questions the credibility of liberal law professor Richard Painter during a Senate hearing on fossil fuel interests, due to his history of making false claims about high-profile conservatives. Painter had attacked the Supreme Court and compared climate change skeptics to flat-earthers in his published testimony. Kennedy grilled Painter on previous tweets about Sen. Lindsey Graham and Justice Clarence Thomas. Painter had implied that Graham was Putin's favorite senator and that Thomas was bought off by gifts from wealthy friends. Painter initially denied knowledge of the tweets but eventually conceded that he stood by them.

JK Rowling weighs in on the term 'cis,' calling it 'ideological language'
J.K. Rowling criticized the use of the term "cisgender" and the related "cis" abbreviation as ideological and unfalsifiable. Twitter owner Elon Musk agreed and declared the terms as "slurs" on Twitter, stating that repeated targeted harassment against any account using them will result in temporary suspensions. The exchange took place in response to James Esses, who received messages from trans activists calling him "cissy" after rejecting the word "cis." Musk clarified that he was not restricting free speech and encouraged individuals to call themselves anything they want.

Experts Rush To Determine If Underwater Banging Sounds Came From Titanic Sub, 30 Minute Gap Between Occurrences
The US Coast Guard is investigating unexplained "banging" noises located near where the Titan tourist submarine, carrying five passengers, went missing. Carl Hartsfield suggested underwater animals may be responsible for the sounds. Five "surface assets" and two remotely operated vehicles are involved in the search, with an additional five expected to join the mission within the next two days.

Three C-17 aircraft from the US Air Force carried unmanned vehicles capable of diving to depths of 19,000 feet and two robust Hyundai winches labeled with "6000 kg line pull," among other equipment. The journey to the location where the Titanic is believed to be submerged would require around 15 hours, with the submersible being as deep as 12,000 feet below the surface.

The Epoch Times: Aesop's Fable ‘The Bear and the Bees’: To Bear in Silence
Aesop's Fable ‘The Bear and the Bees’: To Bear in Silence
A bear's impatience leads to disastrous consequences in Aesop's fable "The Bear and the Bees". By trying to steal honey, the bear breaks the beehive and angers the bees. Thomas Bewick's translation points out that the bear's impatience stems from a desire to gratify base appetites, which can lead to harmful actions. The moral of the story is to cultivate the virtues of patience and restraint, as retaliating in anger can prove disastrous not only for ourselves, but also for others.

Taylor Swift Adds Dozens Of Overseas Shows—Here’s Why Tickets Could Be A Lot Cheaper Than In The U.S.
Taylor Swift has announced 38 new international stops on her Eras tour. Stringent international ticketing regulations may prohibit the high markups on resale tickets that many US-based fans experience for tickets. For-profit ticket resales are banned in Poland, Italy, Ireland, and France, where Swift has seven shows scheduled. Japan passed a law in 2019 prohibiting reselling tickets at prices higher than their retail value for commercial purposes, while the Digital Services Act, approved in the European Union last year, applies to resellers of tickets, requiring them to provide identification and contact information.

India’s faulty pharmaceutical factories cause shortages of drugs
in the US: report
The US is experiencing dire drug shortages due to major quality-control issues at an Intas Pharmaceuticals factory in India. Chemotherapy drugs used to treat certain cancers, including breast, lung and prostate have been pulled from shelves. The shortage has caused cancer patients to receive low drug doses, wait longer between treatments, or switch to other drugs that cause significant side effects. Only 83 percent of India's drug manufacturing facilities met safety and quality standards, compared to 93 percent in the US and 90 percent in China. The US has recently seen other products made by Indian manufacturers with quality issues, including contaminated eye drops resulting in a massive bacterial outbreak.

Climate Change Threatens Insect Communities, Disrupting Ecosystems And Food Supplies
A new study warns that climate change could disrupt the ecology of insects, and as a result affect food production. A warmer world could impact ecosystems and impair the development of new species. Scientists have demonstrated the environmental impact of temperature changes through experiments on maggot flies and parasitic wasps. Rising temperatures could result in the disruption of natural adaptation and lead to widespread chaos in insect communities which could have “dire consequences,” warns Dr. Thomas Powell from Binghamton University.

Greta Thunberg gets lambasted for deleting prediction of climate genocide after the date arrives
Climate change activist Greta Thunberg faced harsh criticism on social media after a prediction of climate genocide failed to materialize. Thunberg had quoted a scientist in 2018 warning that humanity would become extinct unless action was taken against global warming within five years. After she deleted the tweet in 2023, critics ridiculed her and joked about her doomsday missive. Although defenders of Thunberg pointed out that the scientist was not predicting immediate extinction, Snopes reported that the ridicule was partly true. Thunberg did not comment on the controversy as she was busy being arrested at an environmental protest in Malmo, Sweden.
