Townhall: Checks for Illegal Aliens Could Be Coming in Texas
Checks for Illegal Aliens Could Be Coming in Texas
Texas judge proposes $500 monthly checks for illegal aliens, as part of a universal basic income program for impoverished residents. The move could strain social services and taxpayer funds, considering the influx of illegal aliens pouring into the state due to the border crisis. The policy undermines the social contract that taxpayer funds benefit American citizens and highlights the breakdown of the rule of law in the immigration system.

The Epoch Times: All Chinese Asylum Applications in May Rejected in Australia
All Chinese Asylum Applications in May Rejected in Australia
The number of onshore asylum visa applications in Australia surged in May, with the highest number of applicants coming from Indian passport holders. Chinese passport holders came in second, but had the highest rejection rate. Some Chinese asylum seekers have said they prefer working illegally in Australia to staying and working legally in China due to the country's deteriorating economy. The backlog of applications has created a circumstance where it is possible to lodge asylum applications even when they may not have meritorious claims for protection. A new report found Australia's economy could benefit up to over $1 billion if the skills of migrants and refugees can be better used.

The Epoch Times: Former State Lawmaker Defeats Incumbent Senator in Virginia Democrat Primary
Former State Lawmaker Defeats Incumbent Senator in Virginia Democrat Primary
In a closely-watched Democrat state primary race in Virginia, former state lawmaker Lashrecse Aird defeated incumbent Sen. Joe Morrissey, who is pro-life, representing District 16. Morrissey has been disbarred twice and is regarded as one of the most controversial figures in Virginia politics. Aird heavily focused her campaign on Morrissey's position on abortion and was endorsed by an unusual number of legislators and members of the state's congressional delegation. Morrissey conceded to Aird in the primary race for the Virginia Senate's 13th District while election results were still being counted. The general election will take place on Nov. 7, with Aird facing Republican Eric Ditri.

BACK OFF! McCaskill On Verge of Tears Over GOP Targeting Hunter Biden
Former Senator and MSNBC analyst Claire McCaskill defends Joe Biden's son, Hunter, accusing Republicans of not understanding addiction and alcoholism. Despite Hunter's charges, McCaskill believes that Republicans are being too harsh on him and his father, stating that Joe Biden should be allowed to love his son unconditionally. She also claims that there is no evidence of any wrongdoing by Joe Biden, despite the Biden bribery scandal.

Townhall: Veto Rampage in Texas Discredits Anti-Trumpers
Veto Rampage in Texas Discredits Anti-Trumpers
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott vetoed more than 75 bills mostly sponsored by conservative Texas state senators, causing tension within the Texas Republican Party. The bills include measures for converting coal-fired energy plants into nuclear plants, and requiring the Texas Family and Protective Services Council to post online videos of its meetings. Abbott has also refused to endorse Donald Trump for president, despite using Trump’s endorsement of him to overcome a primary challenge to his reelection last year. Abbott's retaliatory vetoes reflect how closely he is tied to RINO mega-donors frustrated by the lack of enactment of their preferred type of property tax reform.

Biden Calls Xi a Dictator After US-China Talks
President Biden called Chinese leader Xi Jinping a "dictator" and accused him of being embarrassed after the U.S. military shot down a Chinese spy balloon. This comes after Secretary of State Antony Blinken's visit to Beijing to ease tensions between the two powers, during which both sides agreed to the need for stability in their relationship. However, China has refused to resume direct military communication with the U.S., despite Blinken's efforts, further escalating bilateral tensions between the two nations.

Townhall: Durbin's Credit Card Competition Act Is a Threat to Consumers, Businesses, and Financial Institutions
Durbin's Credit Card Competition Act Is a Threat to Consumers, Businesses, and Financial Institutions
Senator Dick Durbin is reintroducing the Credit Card Competition Act despite overwhelming opposition from both sides of Congress, the American public, airlines, and leading pro-taxpayer groups. The proposed legislation would cap interchange fees districting credit card rewards, increasing banking costs and making access to capital harder for small businesses. If passed, local banks and credit unions may be forced to close. Big retailers, such as Walmart, Target, Lowe's, and McDonald's stand to gain from the legislation, but trust among the majority of Americans is low. The proposal is a regressive tax that disproportionately hurts the poorest Americans and the smallest businesses the most.

The Credit Card Competition Act proposal is a regressive tax that will increase costs and fees for credit card holders while harming small community banks and credit unions. If the proposed legislation is successful, credit card companies and financial institutions will have to make up for the loss of funds by eliminating benefits and increasing prices, cutting access to annual fees, and rewards such as airline miles, hotel points, and cashback bonuses. Regressive taxes disproportionately affect the most vulnerable Americans rather than the wealthy. Rewards programs are a lifeline for many Americans providing funds to help farmers in Zambia, support LGBT organizations fighting discrimination, and promoting internet freedom in Vietnam. Senator Dick Durbin has raked in a considerable amount of money in campaign contributions from some of America's largest retailers, such as Walmart and Home Depot, prioritizing donors' happiness over low-income Americans and struggling small businesses.

Queensland Opens Needle-Free Vaccine Skin Patches Factory
Australia's biotechnology company Vaxxas has opened a vaccine skin patch manufacturing facility in Brisbane to enhance accessibility and reduce the complexities and costs related to existing vaccines. The facility will operate as a global headquarters and biomedical facility in a custom-built, state government-backed building. Vaxxas expects to have the first commercially available vaccines patches in three to five years and has completed human clinical trials involving over 500 participants. The patches can potentially be self-administered and remain stable at room temperature, making it easier to reach remote areas. The facility will create 200 well-paid jobs and contributes to the state's economy.

Fox News: GREG GUTFELD: Logic and reason has become secondary
GREG GUTFELD: Logic and reason has become secondary
The AP has updated its style guide, stating to use the term "sex assigned at birth" instead of biological sex or male/female. This has caused reporters to deny biology and pretend that biology is a matter of personal preference. Meanwhile, Lieutenant General DeAnna Burt of Space Force alluded to the anti-LGBTQ+ laws in states banning sex changes for minors preventing her from hiring the best candidates for her team. The ACLU advocated for Dwayne Owen, a man who brutalized and murdered women, claiming that she never received gender-affirming care in prison.
