The Epoch Times: Federal Prosecutor Says ‘Investigation Is Ongoing’ After Securing Hunter Biden Guilty Plea
Hunter Biden pleads guilty to two misdemeanor counts of failing to pay taxes and to a charge of illegal firearm possession, while the investigation remains ongoing. The plea deal has attracted criticism from Republican lawmakers, who believe it to be a lenient punishment and that further investigations will uncover more evidence of illegal activity. Hunter Biden’s defense team has stated that the investigation is resolved, but statements released by US Attorney David C. Weiss suggest otherwise. The bribing allegation against Joe Biden could become an area of focus for Weiss’s office.
The Epoch Times: ANALYSIS: Byelection Results Show People’s Party and Greens Getting Squeezed by Larger Parties
The recent byelection results in Quebec, Manitoba, and Ontario indicate that the Green Party and People’s Party of Canada are being squeezed by the larger parties on both sides of the political spectrum. The seat configuration in the House of Commons remains unchanged, with the Liberals taking Winnipeg South Centre and Notre-Dame-de-Grâce-Westmount, and the Conservatives keeping Oxford and Portage-Lisgar. PPC Leader Maxime Bernier received 17 percent of the vote in Portage-Lisgar, down from his party's 2021 performance, indicating a loss of momentum. Meanwhile, the Green Party's Deputy Leader Jonathan Pedneault received just over 13 percent of the vote in the riding of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce-Westmount, where Liberal candidate Anna Gainey won with 50 percent of the vote.
Breitbart: Trump: Hunter Plea Deal 'A Massive Coverup,' 'Election Interference Scam'
Hunter Biden's plea deal to avoid jail time has been labeled a "massive coverup" and "election interference" by Donald Trump in a statement on Truth Social. Biden will plead guilty to tax evasion on his foreign earnings and enter a "pretrial diversion program" for his gun crime. Meanwhile, Trump is facing up to 400 years in prison for allegedly retaining classified information. Conservatives have criticized the plea deal as proof of a two-tier justice system in America.
National Review: The Corner: Our Changed Fiscal Politics
President Reagan proposed ending the deduction for state and local taxes, but it failed due to a Democratic House and more potential Republican defectors. The emergence of a strong partisan division between high-tax and low-tax states could change the prospects for other policies such as Medicaid.
The American Spectator: Hunter Biden Pleads Guilty to Tax Fraud, Gun Charges
Hunter Biden, international lawyer and son of President Biden, has agreed to plead guilty to two federal misdemeanor charges relating to his failure to pay income taxes on earnings received in 2017 and 2018 during his time at Burisma Holdings. In exchange, he will cooperate with prosecutors and have a firearms charge dismissed. However, Republicans have vowed to continue investigating his role in alleged corrupt dealings with foreign countries, specifically the claims of bribery against him and his father relating to Burisma Holdings.
The proposed plea deal will recommend two years of probation, but it must still be approved by a federal judge. Additionally, Biden has agreed to a Pretrial Diversion Agreement, a move that typically applies to non-violent offenders who struggle with substance abuse. Following the criminal investigation, Biden's lawyer announced that his client is looking forward to moving on and continuing his recovery. The White House has provided little comment on the matter, stating only that the President and First Lady love their son and support him.

Forbes: ‘Slap On The Wrist’: GOP Rages Against Hunter Biden Plea Deal–Vows To Continue House Probes
Republicans criticize Hunter Biden's plea deal after he agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax crimes and enter a diversion program for a separate gun charge. GOP members labeled the deal a "slap on the wrist" and a "sweetheart plea deal," while Democrats noted that first-time tax offenses rarely result in prosecution or jail time. The deal comes after a five-year Justice Department probe into Hunter Biden's international business dealings, and Republicans are using the resolution to further investigate whether President Biden used his influence to benefit his son.

PJ Media: Transgender Activists Make 'Urine Protests' a Thing
Trans activists have taken part in "urine protests" by delivering bottles of pee to the Equality and Human Rights Commission offices in London. The activists, who described themselves as "Pissed Off Trannies", claimed that the government watchdog had adopted transphobic policies on trans access to public facilities. UK trans activists are now mentoring children in their gender politics- cultural enrichment. Leftists hate anything that conveys deeper meaning beyond the material world, especially when it's a sacred cultural artifact. Beauty is evil-being ugly is core to their identity.
Fox News: Celebrity chef John Mountain bans vegans from restaurant, tells them to 'f--- off'
Celebrity chef John "Johnnie" Mountain has banned vegans from his restaurant, Fyre, in Perth, Western Australia, stating it is for "mental health reasons." Mountain said he had agreed to accommodate a vegan customer but had "forgotten" while catering for a private event. Fyre had suffered negative reviews online as a result, but Mountain blamed the "rebuttal" and "attitude" of vegans and said, "If they want vegan food, they can go to a vegan restaurant." The restaurant opened in 2019 and has struggled, with Mountain recently selling some paintings he had created to raise funds.

Red State: Pentagon Reveals $6.2 Billion Overestimation in Weapons Sent to Ukraine
The Pentagon has admitted to overestimating the value of weapons sent to Ukraine by $6.2 billion, double the previous estimate. The accounting error was due to military services using replacement costs instead of the book value of equipment sent to Ukraine. The surplus will be allocated to future security packages.
Despite the mistake, ongoing delivery of aid to Ukraine will not be affected. The United States has committed less than $34 billion to Ukraine in security aid, down from previous estimates of over $40 billion. The accounting mistake raises concerns regarding the transparency and efficacy of tracking aid to prevent fraud or diversion.

American Thinker: The Army’s top sergeant is all in on defending ‘Pride’
Sergeant Major Michael Grinston, the Army’s highest non-com officer, spent two days engaging in Twitter battle defending the military's LGBTQ+ focus, after the 82nd Airborne celebrated “Pride” for a couple of weeks. Grinston's actions drew criticism that it was a waste of time, while the military's purpose should be to win wars.

Flag And Cross: 'This is Wrong': Mike Pence Reveals His 'Libertarian' Stance on Transgender Issues
Former Vice President Mike Pence spoke out against transgender medications and surgeries being performed on children during an interview with Jordan Peterson. However, his follow-up comment about adults making their own choices and living while they live, which he attributed to his libertarian stance, raised concerns among Christians. While many might agree with Pence's stance, Christians should note that their faith does not recognize sanctified libertarianism and that communism of believers is important. The Bible recognizes things virtuous and good, but practices and attitudes such as homosexuality and transgenderism are increasingly being accepted, celebrated, and even enshrined in the legal system. True love for our neighbor involves directing them to repentance and faith, not affirming their sin.

The Epoch Times: Biden Makes First Public Remarks About Son's Guilty Plea Deal
Hunter Biden has pleaded guilty to charges filed in U.S. District Court in Delaware, including neglecting to pay federal income tax and illegally possessing a firearm. The IRS had been investigating the younger Biden's business dealings for some time. In a statement, the White House said that they "love their son and support him as he continues to rebuild his life." The plea agreement concludes a lengthy investigation and avoids a trial that would've potentially created troubling headlines for the Biden administration.
Washington Free Beacon: A Tale of Two Systems
Joe Biden's statements about his son's innocence constituted presidential interference with the Justice Department probe. Hunter Biden owed over $1 million in taxes and copped to owning a gun while coked up but got off with only probation and enrollment in a "diversion program." This exemplifies the two systems of justice in America that Democrats decry, with one for the rich and the other for minorities and the poor.
