The Epoch Times: Marxist Radical a Key Actor Behind 'The Voice'
Marxist Radical a Key Actor Behind 'The Voice'
Indigenous activist Thomas Mayo has praised communism's influence on the Aboriginal activism movement, and has called for Australians to pay reparations to Indigenous Australians. Mayo is the national Indigenous officer of the Maritime Union of Australia and is a member of the prime minister's referendum working group for the Indigenous Voice to Parliament. He has also advocated for punishing politicians who ignore The Voice, which seeks to establish a near-permanent advisory body to Parliament for Indigenous Australians to make representations on relevant issues. However, critics say Mayo's videos show an underlying Marxist agenda, and Indigenous leader Warren Mundine has said The Voice's lack of impact on the ground and Indigenous voting participation are concerning.
