‘Tiger King’ star Doc Antle convicted of wildlife trafficking in Virginia
"Doc" Antle, star of Netflix documentary "Tiger King," was convicted on two counts of wildlife trafficking and two counts of conspiring to traffic wildlife for illegally purchasing endangered lion cubs in Virginia and planning to display them at his South Carolina zoo. Animal rights advocates have accused Antle of mistreating lions and other wildlife, and he has a history of recorded violations dating back to 1989. Antle is also facing federal charges of laundering more than half a million dollars, believed to be the proceeds of an operation to smuggle illegal immigrants into the US.

The Federalist Papers: Trump Blasts Fox News During Interview on Network - Tucker Must Be Smiling
Trump Blasts Fox News During Interview on Network - Tucker Must Be Smiling
Former President Trump criticized Fox News' declining viewership during an interview with Bret Baier, stating that "a lot less" people watch it than before. Trump's comments came as he and Baier discussed the network's current state. Baier attempted to counter Trump's claim by insisting that Fox has more independent viewers than any other TV source, but a Twitter user identifying as an independent responded by saying that they have not watched the network since they parted ways with Tucker Carlson. Carlson, who has attracted left-leaning as well as anti-establishment viewers, has since launched his own show on Twitter.

Climate Activists 'Brutalized' by Security While Protesting Biden Energy Secretary
Protesters interrupted Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm's remarks on climate change, resulting in their forcible removal from the event. The activists alleged they were "brutalized," with one sustaining baseball-sized bruises and another being dragged out by their ears. The group protested Granholm's support for the Mountain Valley Pipeline, a natural gas project in Appalachia, while chanting about the liquified natural gas that would be carried in the pipeline. Granholm defended the project, arguing it's necessary for energy security and moving towards zero-emissions. Critics have accused her of a conflict of interest due to her husband's stock ownership in Ford Motor Company and her own sale of stock in Proterra, an electric vehicle company the White House supported.

The Right Scoop: BREAKING: Hunter Biden has been criminally charged by the feds
BREAKING: Hunter Biden has been criminally charged by the feds
Hunter Biden faces federal charges of tax and gun possession, but is expected to plead guilty only to failing to pay his taxes and receive probation. The Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney for Delaware reached a plea agreement with him, in which the firearm charge will likely be dismissed if he meets certain conditions. The tax and gun charges will not result in jail time and the decision by U.S. Attorney David Weiss indicates the end of a five-year investigation into Hunter Biden's conduct. The Biden administration has kept Weiss in place to avoid having a U.S. attorney appointed by the president oversee his son's criminal case.

McCarthy Says Hunter Plea Deal Should 'Enhance' GOP Biden Family Probes
Hunter Biden has reached a plea agreement with the DOJ over charges of tax evasion and illegal firearm possession, which House Republicans say won't impede their ongoing investigation into the Biden family's business dealings. GOP lawmakers criticized the DOJ’s decision, calling it a “two-tiered system of justice,” claiming Hunter Biden got a “sweetheart deal,” and demanded to know why he was paid while his family didn't run any business activities. While condemning the deal, the Republicans said that the agreement would not derail their investigation, and they would keep gathering information.

Flag And Cross: Trump Blasts Fox News During Interview on Network - Tucker Must Be Smiling
Trump Blasts Fox News During Interview on Network - Tucker Must Be Smiling
Former President Trump pointed out the decline in Fox News viewership in an interview with Bret Baier. Baier claimed that more independent voters watch Fox News than any other TV source, to which Trump responded that a lot less used to watch it. Recent evidence shows that Fox News' ratings have plummeted since it parted ways with Tucker Carlson, and Carlson's anti-establishment opinions were popular with not only right-wing viewers but also some left-leaning viewers. Trump suggests that Fox News executives either did not anticipate the impact of Carlson's dismissal or knew what they were doing and deliberately destroyed the network to prevent Carlson from spreading anti-establishment views.

The Federalist: Grassley: Hunter Biden Deal Ignores Evidence Of Other Crimes
Grassley: Hunter Biden Deal Ignores Evidence Of Other Crimes
Republican Senator Chuck Grassley criticized the plea deal received by Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, which allows him to avoid prison time despite being charged with failing to pay taxes and illegal firearm possession. Grassley argued that evidence of money laundering and foreign business schemes, supported by records found in Hunter's laptop, should have raised serious criminal concerns. Whistleblowers from the Department of Justice and the IRS have also claimed that investigations into the Biden family have been hampered. House Republicans have expanded their own investigation into the Biden family's finances.

Is Boris Johnson Getting the Donald Trump Treatment?
Boris Johnson has been stripped of his parliamentary pass after a vote by MPs found that he deliberately misled the House over the partygate scandal. 118 MPs voted in favor of the motion, including members of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's inner circle, while 288 MPs chose not to vote, including Sunak and a large group of Conservatives. The parallels between Johnson's situation and that of former US President Donald Trump are striking .

Russia’s Lavrov baits NATO on ‘hybrid war’ in Ukraine: ‘They want to fight’
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov accuses NATO of direct involvement in the war in Ukraine and declares that if they oppose freezing the conflict, "well, let them fight!" Lavrov argues that NATO support for Kyiv is a recognition of their involvement in the hybrid war with Russia. In response, NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg warns against allowing the conflict to become a frozen conflict and applauds NATO's continued efforts to supply Ukraine with aid. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy notes the challenge of repelling Russian forces from the heavily fortified Zaporizhzhia region, where Ukraine has seen initial success in their counteroffensive.

Communist China Is Planning To Build Military Base Just 100 Miles Off The Coast Of Florida: Report
China is negotiating with Cuba to build a joint military base approximately 100 miles off the coast of Florida, according to highly classified new U.S. intelligence. The facility may allow China to house troops in Cuba and expand its spying efforts in the U.S. The move is reportedly in response to America's support and activity in Taiwan, making it part of China's military plan known as Project 141. The intelligence community has assessed that the PRC intends to expand its reach globally. Some officials downplayed the news saying it is not much of an enhancement to current capabilities.

The Blaze: China plans to establish military base in Cuba, indicating it may intend to permanently station troops off US coast: Report
China plans to establish military base in Cuba, indicating it may intend to permanently station troops off US coast: Report
China is reportedly in talks with Cuba to build a military training base on the island, potentially placing troops 100 miles from the US coast. The negotiations are allegedly part of the CCP's "Project 141," which aims to establish a global network of military bases. The talks are said to be at an advanced stage, but not yet concluded.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently failed to secure an agreement with China to continue military-to-military communications with the United States. Blinken nevertheless reaffirmed the "One China" policy, denouncing support for Taiwan's independence. Earlier this month, the WSJ claimed that China and Cuba had agreed to build a spy facility on the island. The Biden administration denied the report's accuracy but later admitted that China has been eavesdropping in Cuba since at least 2019. U.S. officials say China and Cuba have been operating four spy stations on the island.

Macron Urges EU to Avoid US Reliance and Develop Own Air Defense System
French President Emmanuel Macron has urged fellow EU countries to look towards a more indegenous air defence strategy to avoid over-reliance on non-European defence systems. The President warned that an approach based solely on capacity would result in non-useful purchases of massive amounts of non-European products. Macron's push for EU defence equipment manufacturers to relocate production to the European continent viewed this call to arms in the context of possibly enhancing European defence standards. Several EU countries, including France's neighbours with Ukraine, attended the one-day meeting on the importance of European air defence systems.

The Epoch Times: Biden Admin Bows to Beijing
Biden Admin Bows to Beijing
U.S. Secretary of State Blinken's trip to China indicates that the US is in a reactive posture with regards to the CCP, rather than adopting a forward-leaning posture of leadership. China seems less concerned about potential US actions than vice versa. Recent events, particularly the Chinese spy balloon incident, shed light on the current state of affairs between the two countries, with the US exhibiting weakness and China's influence growing at the expense of the US. This constitutes a total loss of face for the US in the region and the administration appears to be either ignorant of Chinese culture or willfully submitting American power to China.

Fox News: Robert Kennedy's campaign says Joe Rogan inviting him back to discuss vaccines after Hotez declines debate
Robert Kennedy's campaign says Joe Rogan inviting him back to discuss vaccines after Hotez declines debate
Joe Rogan, Elon Musk and others challenged vaccine scientist Dr. Peter Hotez to debate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on the topic of vaccines, but it seems Hotez will decline. Despite this, Kennedy's campaign said he is already invited back on Rogan's show. Dr. Hotez said he didn't want to get into a "Jerry Springer Show" situation and thus wouldn't debate Kennedy on Rogan's podcast. His defenders said it would only elevate fringe views from Kennedy, who has come under fire for spreading conspiracy theories like linking childhood vaccinations to autism. Hotez has taken criticism from conservatives for pushing aggressive mask and vaccine mandates during the pandemic, as well as delaying school re-openings.

Kennedy denies being an "anti-vaxxer" but rather calls himself a vaccine safety advocate, which critics say obscures his true views. His foes also point to Kennedy's 2005 article jointly published by Rolling Stone and Salon that linked vaccines with autism, and also alleged a vast cover-up conspiracy embroiling medical experts and the pharmaceutical industry. However, the story required heavy corrections, and Salon eventually retracted it. Fox News medical contributor Dr. Nicole Saphier said a debate between Hotez and Kennedy on COVID-19 vaccines would not serve the public interest anyway. Fox News contributor Dr. Marc Siegel said that even in the medical community, "we don't think everybody is an expert on everything."

UK Guidelines Recommend Honey, Not Antibiotics, for Cough
UK health officials are recommending the use of honey as a first line of treatment for coughs in order to reduce inappropriate antibiotic use by 50% by 2021. Antibiotics are of little help for treating viral infections like colds and flu which usually run their course within a week or two. The antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties of honey are well-known. Ultimately, public safety measures such as promoting natural remedies like honey and over-the-counter medicines should be enforced more firmly in order to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance which claims at least 700,000 lives worldwide every year.

Johnsonville Recalls Over 42,000 Pounds of Sausages Over Possible Contamination
Johnsonville, a sausage maker, has issued a recall for more than 42,000 pounds of its ready-to-eat “Beddar With Chedder” sausages due to potential contamination with plastic fibers. The specific packages subject to the recall include 14-ounce vacuum-packed packages of “Beddar with Cheddar” sausage links produced on Jan 26. Johnsonville warned the strands of plastic fibers pose a low risk of health effects, and no illnesses have been reported so far. The pork sausage links were distributed to retail locations in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Cricket Creek Farm of Williamstown, Massachusetts, is recalling Sophelise, Tobasi, and Berkshire Bloom cheeses that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. A person was hospitalised after eating the product and being infected with Listeria monocytogenes. The bacteria can cause a serious and potentially deadly infection known as listeriosis, particularly in high-risk individuals, according to health officials. Sophelise, Tobasi, and Berkshire Bloom cheeses were distributed in New York and Massachusetts. The recalled products have "sell-by" dates between February 14 and March 14.

Kaiser Permanente runs 39 hospitals and over 600 medical facilities, providing services for almost 13 million people in eight states and the District of Columbia, and claims to be a nationally recognized leader in LGBTQ+ healthcare equality, providing services to help transgender and nonbinary individuals achieve their gender-affirming goals.

Democrats want to change Senate rules to stop Republican senator from protesting Pentagon's abortion policy
Democrats want to change Senate rules to prevent Sen. Tommy Tuberville from blocking President Biden's military promotions. Tuberville has put a "hold" on all general and flag officer nominees to protest the Defense Department's policy of funding abortions for service members, and Democrats believe the rules need to be changed to stop him. So far, more than 200 military officers' promotion nominations have been slowed down, and if the hold continues, hundreds more will be affected. There is no clarity on the particular rule Democrats want to change, but they agree that something needs to be done to prevent a single senator from putting national defense at risk due to policy disagreements.
