Its analysts have dropped China's 2023 GDP growth forecast from 6% to 5.4% and its 2024 growth forecast from 4.6% to 4.5%. Other institutions such as UBS, Bank of America, Standard Chartered Bank, JPMorgan Chase and Nomura Holdings have also recently lowered their growth forecasts for China. The Chinese government's attempts to stimulate the economy are likely to be ineffective, with Goldman Sachs warning that "we mark down our 2023 real GDP forecast, as the future may be more turbulent".

The Epoch Times: St. Louis Security Guard Punches Man Lying on Light Rail Platform
A St. Louis light rail system security guard was caught on video repeatedly punching a man lying face down on a busy platform. Bi-State Development's Kevin Scott confirmed that the security guard responsible had been “removed from duty.” Witnesses said the episode began when two men were passed out on the train and vomiting, and then one of them got up suddenly, screaming and running headfirst into the side of another train. When the man proceeded to try and put his arms around a female security guard in a bear-hug fashion, he was punched repeatedly in the head by the security guard in question.
