Fox News: AI can predict person’s politics by their looks, whether they smile in pics: study
AI algorithms can predict a person’s political ideology with 61% accuracy based on their facial characteristics. The study, involving photos of Danish politicians, found that right-wing politicians were more likely to have happy expressions, while those with neutral expressions were more likely to identify as left-wing. The research examined whether computational neural networks could predict political ideology based on a single photo and found that deep learning could be used to make such predictions with a significant degree of accuracy. The research warned of the "threat to privacy" posed by deep learning methods used to predict people's political affiliation.
The Epoch Times: No Seats Change Hands in Federal By-elections
Four by-elections in Canada resulted in no upsets, as all ridings stayed in the hands of the party that previously held them. The most watched contest was in Portage-Lisgar, where Maxime Bernier of the People's Party of Canada attempted to win the party's first seat in parliament but was defeated by Conservative Branden Leslie with over 63% of the vote. In other by-elections, the Liberals held onto the riding of Winnipeg South Centre, the Montreal riding of Notre-Dame-de-Grace-Westmount remained a Liberal stronghold, and Conservative Arpan Khanna edged out Liberal Dave Hilderley in the mostly rural riding of Oxford. No seats changed party affiliation in the by-elections, and the next general election is expected no later than 2025.
The Epoch Times: United States Now Second Largest EV Market After China
The United States has become the world's second-largest electric vehicle market, with EV sales increasing due to the introduction of EV tax credits of up to $7,500 and the construction of a network of EV charging stations. Tesla holds 62.7% of the market and General Motors follows with 7.6%. Meanwhile, the EPA has proposed new vehicle emission standards for nearly all vehicle classes, with the aim for 67% of all light and medium vehicle sales in 2032 to be EVs and some states requiring all new passenger car sales to be electric by 2035.
Fox News: Biden allies open fire on RFK Jr. as president struggles to unite Democrats
Several Biden-linked accounts on Twitter are attacking Democratic candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has been involved in online drama with podcast host Joe Rogan, Twitter owner Elon Musk, and Baylor College of Medicine tropical medicine dean Dr. Peter Hotez. Biden-supporting strategist Chris Jackson questioned why the media does not mention that Kennedy is a convicted felon, while former Draft Biden finance chair Jon Cooper compared Kennedy to former President Trump. Democrat social media influencer Harry Sisson called him a "complete and total fraud," adding that he cannot wait to see Biden beat him in the primary. Podcast host and 2020 Biden delegate Victor Shi challenged Kennedy to appear on Jon Stewart's show, while several others, including Rogan and Musk offered large sums to a prominent vaccine scientist to debate Kennedy.

Fox News: Here's how Bud Light executives could finally answer for destroying their brand
Bud Light sales have plummeted after a controversial partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney, causing the company's stock prices to decline. Anheuser-Busch must answer shareholder concerns on its second quarter earnings call next month, with analysts predicting more cuts to projections. Bud Light must address the issue and make a clear plan to regain sales, as it represents 30% of the company's US earnings and around 9% of total sales. If not, Anheuser-Busch risks falling below the 4% floor and may have to resort to layoffs and austerity measures. Shareholders must demand answers on how the company will sustain support for Bud Light and whether trade-offs are being made in other parts of the company.

Fox News: AI-assisted fraud schemes could cost taxpayers $1 trillion in just 1 year, expert says
Expert warns that the use of artificial intelligence by criminals for fraud is costing taxpayers hundreds of billions, if not $1 trillion over the next 12 months. LexisNexis Risk Solutions' Haywood Talcove says that "AI poses the greatest risk to the security of our most vital government agencies and entitlement programs that we've ever faced," adding that virtually no government or state agency is safe, which means potentially every person with any online footprint is a potential victim. He predicts that the government could lose over $1tn to these criminal groups some of which are located outside the countries.
Talcove also warns that criminals are already using people's faces to steal from government and state agencies, and he adds that AI technology is good enough to create a generative AI model by using any kind of information available on social media which can blow past most of the government's antiquated authentication systems. The expert indicates that funds intended to support low-income families and seniors are gone while the defence contracts are not immune and could generate bogus companies. The use of AI could divert significant financial resources intended for national security. Talcove calls for action by Congress and the Biden administration, stating that agencies not considering the impact of AI on their fraud detection and prevention systems are likely already falling victim to these types of sophisticated scams.
