PJ Media: Dan Bongino: Trump's 'Personnel Choices' Hurt His First Administration 'Bad,' 2024 Looks to Be Different
Donald Trump, former President and candidate, discussed his top priority should he win the 2024 election: thoroughly disinfecting the "fetid and putrid D.C. Swamp." He agrees with Dan Bongino that the DOJ and FBI are the two most important places to start, and anyone who cannot pledge allegiance to the Constitution and American people must go. Bongino mentioned an Axios article discussing how people in Trump's previous administration slowed things down without saying "no." Trump also admitted he chose personnel recommended by RINOs he respected but did not necessarily agree with. Personnel choices are critical, and he hopes to prioritize cleaning house in his second administration.
Forbes: Justice Alito Reveals Trip With Billionaire Paul Singer In Op-Ed—And Defends Himself
Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito defends his undisclosed relationship with billionaire Paul Singer in a Wall Street Journal op-ed, revealing a private plane trip in 2008 offered to him by Singer for a fishing trip in Alaska. ProPublica reporters had asked Alito to respond to questions around this relationship, which he described as "charges". Alito claimed that the private plane seat he took "would have otherwise been vacant", and therefore was an exception to the required disclosure. He also stated that suggestions of bias in court cases involving Singer were unfounded, as he had only briefly interacted with him at events and on the fishing trip.
The Epoch Times: Trump Unveils Plan to 'Squeeze' US Spending, Cut Deficit
Former President Donald Trump has announced his plan to reduce waste and cut inflation by using the presidential impoundment power to delay or halt expenditures that he deems wasteful. He intends to use the savings to reduce taxes, stop inflation and cut the deficit. Trump blames President Joe Biden for wasting taxpayers' money, causing "uncontrolled inflation that is crushing working families." He has posted policy-related videos under the title "Agenda 47", including his position on impoundment. Trump is the current frontrunner for the Republican nomination, holding a slight lead over President Biden.

The Epoch Times: Beyond the Absurd: When Your Mother Encounters a Naked Man in the Change Room at the Public Pool
A man entered a women's changing room in Ottawa and no one spoke up because of the political climate which demands potential predators be welcomed into female-only spaces. Postmodernism and gender ideology have helped society cast off objective and universal truths, eroding hard-fought-for women's rights. Increasingly, Western societies are becoming two different peoples speaking two very different languages regarding the concept of two sexes, requiring very different laws and social norms. A society that does not have a shared language cannot share thoughts. A society where women and girls are cowed into silence when a crime is perpetrated against them is a shaky society.
The American Spectator: When Virtue Signalers Become Virtue Flaunters
Gillette's advertising campaign, which accused red-blooded American males of bullying young people, both male and female, resulted in R. Emmett Tyrrell Jr. boycotting the company. However, he has since discovered that wokedom is being rejected in the boardrooms of giant corporations and even some smaller ones. The Wall Street Journal reports that finance chiefs and other executives have quieted down in public about their environmental and employee diversity efforts as pressure has mounted from investors and conservative groups. Wokedom is on the retreat in practically all the red states and even a good number of blue ones, demonstrating that the average American is not a fan of virtue signaling.

The American Spectator: These American Businessmen Are Cozying Up With China
China's President Xi Jinping recently met with Bill Gates, welcoming Microsoft and other potential US businesses to bring their artificial intelligence tech to China. Gates praised China for its progress reducing poverty and improving health outcomes and expressed his desire to work with his Chinese "partners" to address global challenges, particularly in Africa. This comes as other prominent tech leaders and CEOs visit China. However, Western companies have been accused of facilitating China's apparatus of domestic surveillance and oppression, as well as improving its military capabilities, by partnering with Chinese companies since the 1990s, something that has continued with Gates' visit despite China's increasingly aggressive foreign policy.

The Epoch Times: Stock Market Today: Wall Street Falls and Takes a Step Back After Its Big Rally
Wall Street has fallen as investors weigh up competing forces of inflation and recovery, with some beginning to worry that the pace of inflation will force interest rates to remain high. This concern poses a threat to both the economy and financial markets. Stocks in Hong Kong and Shanghai also fell, while US corporations, such as Alibaba Group, also saw stock trading prices fall following major announcements. The yield on the ten-year Treasury also fell, although this week does not hold major market-moving events following the national holiday in observance of Juneteenth. Together, this indicates ongoing economic uncertainty.

The Blaze: De-transitioned individual shares her story: 'I kind of feel a little bit mutilated and like an experiment gone wrong'
Jasmine regrets gender transition, citing pressure from charity referring her to NHS clinic at age 15. Taking testosterone for over a year caused irreversible changes, making her feel "mutilated". She feels jealous of biological women who still have natural voices and characteristics.
The Epoch Times: Arkansas to 'Fight' Ruling Against Ban on Gender Transition Procedures for Minors
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders will challenge a federal judge’s ruling that struck down the state’s ban on gender transition procedures for minors, which includes cross-sex hormone therapies, puberty blockers, and irreversible surgeries to remove sex organs. U.S. District Judge Jay Moody said Arkansas’s ban was unconstitutional. The state will appeal the ruling to the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. The American Civil Liberties Union challenged the law on behalf of four transgender youth and their families, as well as two doctors. The decision only affects Arkansas, but will have implications for prohibitions in other states.

The American Spectator: The Climate Litigation Wave Crashes Into Hawaii’s Supreme Court
Honolulu is suing oil producers for causing global warming and its associated impacts. The city is seeking compensatory damages, abatement of the nuisances, attorneys’ fees, punitive damages, disgorgement of profits, and costs of the suit due to the wrongful conduct of the defendants. Honululu has named Sunoco, Exxon, Chevron, Shell, BHP, BP, Marathon, and ConocoPhillips, among its list of defendants. The lawsuits mainly argue three points: dishonesty, climate related damages, and attribution to the damage. However, critics argue that each of these legs fails to hold up.
The Epoch Times: Prayers for Rain to Put Out Wildfires Were Answered in Alberta, but Next Came Floods
Alberta firefighters, farmers, and others may have wished for rain to help the firefighters battle raging wildfires that started at the end of April, but now the rain just won’t stop, causing evacuations, shelter-in-place orders, river advisories, and flood warnings. Edmonton has received more than 125mm of heavy rain in just six days this month after two weeks of dry, hot weather.
