Breitbart: Federal Data: Majority of Border Crossers Denied Asylum to Stay in U.S.
US authorities continue to deny the asylum claims of individuals crossing the country's southern border; these individuals are being released into the US's interior by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS); however, recent data shows that the majority of those released have invalid asylum claims. A recent report by Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) at Syracuse University reveals that, across the 2008 to 2019 fiscal years, about 81% of those who arrived had "passed" an asylum interview, but only 14% of those who crossed the border were eventually granted asylum. In the current fiscal year, about 53% of asylum-seekers who appeared before immigration judges were denied in the cases that went to court. The majority of border crossers still do not have valid asylum claims; 70% of border crossers did not have valid claims in 2020, 60% in 2021, and 52% in 2022.

The American Spectator: What Does Biden Owe China?
Antony Blinken went to China and was scolded by Xi Jinping, showing a submissive attitude. China runs with an iron-fisted communist regime, cracking down on freedom and demands mandatory obedience. Despite Biden's apology for the CCP spy balloon affair, Blinken went to reestablish communication between Chinese and US militaries. However, Xi refused it. Blinken denied US support for Taiwan independence and Biden praised the Chinese economy, but the visit brought more ridicule than anything else. What do they owe China?

Forbes: Retail Alert: Team Biden Is Changing Your Trade Policy
The Biden Administration's international trade team is redefining trade and distancing themselves from the American retail industry. They are promoting a new global middle class instead of focusing on sourcing products, a move that could have serious implications for retailers who rely on international trade. The new trade definition of people, which includes producers and community members, could result in a lack of traditional trade deals and new trade deals being nonexistent. Retailers are struggling and need the government to resolve current trade problems before experimenting with new philosophies.

The American Spectator: Hollywood Is Demoralizing Americans, One Story at a Time
The Iranian mullahs sought to erase Iran's cultural hallmarks, including by rewriting history books, to promote their ideology and replace the country's values. Today, Hollywood elites and their corporate henchmen are promoting ideologically evil propaganda to push a certain message, using Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) as a cultural demon to rewrite American greatness and demoralize its people. This new system aims to divide and confuse young Americans, making their most superficial traits their identity and promoting victimhood, leading to a loss of faith in the goodness of the republic and a permanent fracture in its foundation.

Forbes: Two-Time Indianapolis 500 Winner Takuma Sato Will Finish IndyCar Oval Season With Chip Ganassi Racing
Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Takuma Sato will compete in the final three oval races of the 2023 season with Chip Ganassi Racing. Sato will drive the No. 11 Honda at Iowa Speedway and had earlier floated the idea that the Indy 500 on May 28 may have been his last oval race of the season. Marcus Armstrong of New Zealand will drive the car on the street and road courses and Sato will take to the ovals.
Armstrong will not compete in any oval races this year in the No. 11 but could get a test on an oval during the offseason. So far this season, Armstrong’s best finish is a pair of eighths at Long Beach in April and Detroit in June. Sato will be part of an impressive list of NTT IndyCar Series drivers that will be on track at the 0.875-mile Iowa Speedway for a 20-car test.

Forbes: EEI Head Kuhn Gets Unique, Sentimental Send-Off
Thomas Kuhn, the President and CEO of the Edison Electric Institute (EEI), is retiring after 30 years, leaving behind uncertainty about his replacement and potential changes to the EEI. As the head of EEI, Kuhn acted as a chief lobbyist, representing 168 investor-owned electric utilities in campaigns on a variety of issues, including environmental legislation and protecting stock dividends. Despite being the consummate insider in energy policy, Kuhn was known for his unassuming demeanor and outsider perspective. Kuhn’s lasting contribution has been most notably in guiding the electric industry towards carbon reduction, and he is respected by both Democrats and Republicans alike.
The American Spectator: The Persecution of Alexei Navalny Could Not Happen Here
Putin's political opponent, Navalny, faces trial and possible 30-year imprisonment for alleged collusion with foreign adversaries. Putin's government portrays Navalny as a threat to national security and accuses him of inciting revolution. Legal cases against Navalny and his associates violate attorney-client privilege and intimidate others who provide assistance. Protests on Navalny's behalf are met with harsh treatment and accusations of fascism. Putin hides corruption and oligarch connections by lashing out at political opponents and framing dissenters as unpatriotic.
