The Epoch Times: Blinken Arrives in Beijing Amid Strained US–China Relations
Blinken Arrives in Beijing Amid Strained US–China Relations
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Beijing, seeking communication and cooperation with China, with a focus on issues such as the smuggling of fentanyl precursor chemicals, regional and global security, and potential cooperation on transnational challenges such as climate and global macroeconomic stability. At the same time, tensions between the U.S. and China have escalated, with Chinese leader Xi Jinping stressing "extreme thinking" and "extreme situations" in recent speeches. Analysts believe Blinken's visit aims to avoid conflicts through communication while the U.S. plans to use a combination of soft and hard tactics in dealing with the CCP.

The United States has also made several big moves before Blinken's visit, including extending a waiver of an export control policy that restricts the sale of advanced process chips and wafer fabrication equipment to China by U.S. and foreign companies using U.S. technology. The U.S. Navy has also carried out exercises with two carriers in the Philippine Sea, and investigative reports have revealed that three researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were the "patient zero" of the COVID-19 pandemic. Once the origin of the virus is confirmed, many countries may start to claim compensation from the CCP, which could lead to an unprecedented diplomatic and economic crisis. This news may have been released intentionally by the U.S. government as a bargaining chip for negotiations during Blinken's visit.

Fox News: GOP, Dems push Biden admin to expand Trump-era deal to blunt American adversaries
GOP, Dems push Biden admin to expand Trump-era deal to blunt American adversaries
Republicans and Democrats are pushing the Biden administration to expand a Trump-era deal to counter American adversaries. The police commander has condemned the recent violence in Olive Branch, which was the result of a Father's Day celebration gone wrong. Chris Christie has slammed the RNC over a presidential nominee pledge, while a PolitiFact report rates Biden's claim that gay people are kicked out of restaurants as "mostly true." A MLB team demoted a player just hours before his dad was supposed to throw the first pitch, and a mom was arrested for allegedly dangling her infant son out of a third-story window. The lonely mom hurts more than men's mental health and a deputy tracked a carjacked car with an Apple AirTag after a chase and fiery crash.

VP Kamala Harris visited Denver to discuss green energy and climate investments, giving a speech at Northfield High School to a group of young students and advocates. She praised Denver Public Schools for being one of the first to adopt a climate action plan and encouraged students to make their voices heard. Later, Harris attended a fundraising event for the re-election of Joe Biden in the wealthy neighborhood of Cherry Hills Village, hosted by trailblazer in women's empowerment Judi Wagner. The success of her trip remains unknown.

What does ‘freedom of the press’ mean when the media eagerly join with the censors?
CENSORSHIP: Mainstream media, Biden administration and Democrats support censorship. Twitter Files show intense censorship promoted by administration and its agencies through pressure on tech companies. Democrats only concerned about "book banning" in Florida. Mainstream media serve as apparatchiks of the Democrat party and promote major lies. This divides our polity.

The Federalist: L.A. Catholics Declare Victory Over The Perpetually Indulged
L.A. Catholics Declare Victory Over The Perpetually Indulged
Thousands of Catholics peacefully protested against a pornographic Catholic hate group known as the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence who were being recognized during the Dodgers' pride night at Dodger Stadium. The two Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were not welcomed by the nearly empty stadium as the Dodgers executives had quietly held the ceremony an hour before the game began. The Los Angeles Archdiocese chose to remain neutral and refused to send any representatives to the event. Even though the LAPD was protecting the audience from the pride night attendees, there was no violence as the huge crowd was quiet, reverent, and prayerful as they listened to the speakers. With the victory of the left in the cultural war, California is still racking up win after win by approving the new bill that would make any parents who do not "gender-affirm" their child guilty of child abuse.

National Review: We Continue to Harm Vulnerable American-Indian Children
We Continue to Harm Vulnerable American-Indian Children
The Indian Child Welfare Act prioritizes Indian culture over the welfare of individual children in foster care, resulting in unnecessary neglect and abuse of vulnerable children. The Act requires Indian children to be adopted only by other Indians, regardless of their flourishing in non-Indian families they have become part of. The Supreme Court recently failed to address the issue, leaving Indian children as second-class citizens.

Transgender Tik Toker Who Went Topless at White House Finally Apologizes, Kind Of
Transgender influencer Rose Montoya apologized for her topless display at the White House’s Pride celebration. Montoya’s unbecoming act led to her being barred from future White House gatherings. In her video, she apologized for the impact of her actions, though she minimized them, depicting them as a moment of “trans joy,” even though they were an international embarrassment in a historical Executive Office venue. The apology fell short of equating her actions to disrespect for the national monument.

Foreign Policy: Sudan’s Ghosts of Darfur Come Back to Haunt It
Sudan’s Ghosts of Darfur Come Back to Haunt It
The war in Darfur, which began in 2003 and has killed around 300,000 people, has entered a new chapter of conflict that is escalating. Hemeti, the leader of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), has successfully formed alliances with political and tribal leaders in the region through a combination of ethnic solidarity and incentives. Arab tribes backed by the RSF have taken advantage of the Khartoum fighting, resulting in a series of attacks that began on April 23 and have been among the worst since the war began. This new conflict is one of global consequence due to a potent cocktail of tribal alliances, ruthless warlords, international backers, and coveted minerals.

Diversity – A Smoke Screen for Race and Behavior Preference
Ambassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley appeared before the House Foreign Affairs Committee to justify a request for her office's budget of $76 million, with a little under ten percent of that funding going to her office and the remaining 90 percent spread across other bureaus. The primary focus of her budget is coordinating DEIA initiatives and ensuring no duplication of resources. There is skepticism regarding the proposal as it does not mention the somewhat dubious and expensive DEI requests made in the past.

National Review: FTC Continues War on Bigness by Opposing Microsoft Video-Game Acquisition
FTC Continues War on Bigness by Opposing Microsoft Video-Game Acquisition
The FTC is trying to block Microsoft's $69 billion acquisition of video-game company Activision Blizzard, citing concerns about the company's potential to remove competitors from the gaming market. Microsoft has already offered solutions to these concerns, such as pledging to offer Call of Duty on Sony devices for at least ten years, but Sony continues to lobby against the deal. The FTC's pursuit of this case may be driven by an ideological war on "bigness" and the consumer-welfare standard, with roots stretching back to early 20th-century progressive dogma. The FTC may be preventing healthy competition and thwarting the rise of a useful rival to Apple and Google's dominance of mobile gaming.

The Epoch Times: Oil Falls on China Growth Uncertainties
Oil Falls on China Growth Uncertainties
Oil prices fall due to concerns over China's economy outweighing OPEC+ output cuts and a decrease in the number of oil and gas rigs in the United States for the seventh straight week. Brent crude is down 0.2 percent to $76.44 a barrel, and U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude is down 0.4 percent to $71.47 a barrel. Large banks have cut their forecasts on China's GDP growth, and May data shows that the post-COVID recovery is struggling. China is expected to cut its benchmark loan rates on Tuesday to support its economic recovery, but rising Iranian oil exports also add to global supply while other producers limit output.

American Thinker: Intel bets $25 billion on Israel
Intel bets $25 billion on Israel
Intel is investing $25 billion in Israel to build a new chip-making factory and other facilities, making it the country's largest ever foreign investment. The investment shows confidence in Israel's future and keeps the country at the forefront of technology. Intel has been operating in Israel since 1974 and already employs 11,700 people across three R&D centers and one manufacturing plant. The investment will create indirect employment for around 42,000 more workers and tap into Israel's technical talent pool.

Southern Baptists Vote To Remain Faithful To Biblical Teaching
The 2023 Southern Baptist Convention was focused on the role of women in pastoral leadership, with the question of whether the Bible requires male pastoral leadership at the forefront of discussions. Saddleback Church was disfellowshipped due to ordaining women pastors, and an amendment to the SBC constitution affirming that the office of pastor/elder/overseer is reserved for men passed with overwhelming support. The convention also passed a resolution condemning gender-affirming care, transgender surgery, and transgender ideology. Younger leaders stand ready to continue the tradition of conservative theology won by their spiritual fathers.

India Box Office: ‘Adipurush’ Scores $41 Million Worldwide
Adipurush earns over $40 million in its opening weekend, with Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles. The film, co-produced by directors Om Raut and Rajesh Nair, follows an interpretation of the Hindu epic Ramayan. It grossed highly in India and internationally, with digital marketing helping to boost ticket sales.

However, the film has been mired in controversy, with some groups objecting to depictions of Hindu mythology and its portrayal of characters. The filmmakers have announced they will rework dialogue and issue a new version of the film within a week. Despite these issues, Adipurush has still been a high-performing film for the Hindi industry.
