The Epoch Times: Push to Cut Big Money Influence on Federal Elections
Push to Cut Big Money Influence on Federal Elections
Reforms aimed at reducing election influence of donors with deep pockets have been recommended by a joint parliamentary committee. The reforms include spending caps, real-time disclosure rules, and a lower donation threshold. The interim report sets out 15 recommendations centered on donations and spending, trust in the electoral system, and Indigenous people’s participation in elections. Political parties are required to disclose donations annually, a rule the committee wants to change to real-time disclosure requirements. The report has been rejected by the coalition committee, which claims the reforms favored “one particular political hue”. Meanwhile, independent MP Kate Chaney urged the committee to go further by banning political donations from government contractors and expanding the lobbyist register.

American Thinker: The real William Barr
The real William Barr
Former Attorney General William Barr predicts a Jan. 6 indictment by summer's end for former president Donald J. Trump, while defending him on some cases. Barr accused Trump of "deceitful conduct," and putting his ambition ahead of the country, before hawking his book.

American Thinker: Waterboarded by the ‘Panther Pee’ That Is the DIE Agenda
Waterboarded by the ‘Panther Pee’ That Is the DIE Agenda
The Democrats are playing their own game and the Republicans are accepting the role of reactor. Republicans need to focus on restoring liberty, and not treat politics like a feel-good social club. There are various incarnations of Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity, or DIE, foisted on us by politicians from on high. The left spews half-true deceptions, or wholly false accusations to achieve their aims and ambitions. The left's pursuit of equity threatens our country's extinction. We need to hold fast to truth and push back against false narratives.

Fox News: Before talking about Green New Deal, we must tackle our Big Green Debt
Before talking about Green New Deal, we must tackle our Big Green Debt
Democrats are trying to implement portions of the Green New Deal at state and local levels despite its unpopularity with Americans. The focus on alternative energy by the Spendorcrats is dangerous, and they need to concentrate on current issues affecting Americans. Lower and middle-class Americans who cannot afford proposed alternatives will be the biggest losers, and progressive policies will bankrupt the agricultural sector. These policies will also compromise national security as they funnel resources to the Chinese Communist Party. To protect our country's economic sectors, we need leaders who will stand up and disrupt the status quo.

American Thinker: Dem in Congress said the quiet part out loud on MSNBC, that Trump ‘needs to be shot’
Dem in Congress said the quiet part out loud on MSNBC, that Trump ‘needs to be shot’
Stacey Plaskett, a nonvoting delegate in Congress representing the US Virgin Islands, accidentally said "shot" instead of "stopped" while referring to Trump and immediately corrected herself. The incident was caught on video, and although Plaskett is a highly-educated individual, the slip was likely due to a Freudian slip. The incident has garnered attention on social media due to the nature of the slip.

Foreign Policy: The Infinite Possibilities of Afrofuturism
The Infinite Possibilities of Afrofuturism
The Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture's "Afrofuturism" exhibit showcases over 100 objects from various mediums highlighting Black identity, agency, and freedom in imagining a future for Black life. The exhibition defines Afrofuturism as a set of cultural practices that connect liberation, mysticism, imagination, and technology. The "New Black Futures" room displays historical artifacts and facsimiles of albums featuring futurist themes, demonstrating that Afrofuturism's influence is not limited to a single genre but across many of Black musical production.

Foreign Policy magazine’s Summer 2023 print issue features an AI cover illustration with the on-image text reading: "The Scramble for AI." The issue will focus on AI and geopolitics with articles from Paul Scharre, Stanley McChrystal, Alondra Nelson, and more. The issue is not the first time visitors to the NMAAHC will experience Afrofuturism. The museum is a significant work of Afrofuturist art, politics, design, and engineering, with its structure mirroring a Yoruba-design crown that appears ready for liftoff, and the "Afrofuturism" exhibit itself covers Black history and the ways it reflects Black futures.

After years of misdiagnosis, Tim Kim turned to naturopathic medicine to treat his excruciating pain caused by gout. Naturopathic doctors view the body holistically and focus on treating the root cause of ailments, rather than just the symptoms. Tim's naturopathic doctor prescribed a custom-formulated tincture, created a treatment regime, and recommended a diet and exercise plan to reduce inflammation. Tim's flares have since decreased both in frequency and severity, and he has been completely flare free. His wife, Sierra Kim, has also become a certified nutrition specialist and is pursuing a career in naturopathic medicine to help others get well and stay well.
