Breitbart: Thought Crime: Actress Jameela Jamil Says Gender-Neutral Hollywood Awards 'Shut Out Women'
Actress Jameela Jamil is against gender-neutral award categories, claiming that they lead to women being erased. Jamil suggested that non-binary people should have their own categories in order to avoid shutting out women from award shows. Her comments come after the Oscars announced that they are looking to get rid of gendered acting awards. Some leftists have responded angrily to Jamil's post, with some arguing that non-binary people should not be separated and polarized further. Others believe that the focus should be on dismantling the system that favors cis men.

Spectator USA: To honor Cormac McCarthy, release the Thornton Cut
Billy Bob Thornton's 2000 Miramax production of All The Pretty Horses, adapted from Cormac McCarthy's novel, was a disaster due to Harvey Weinstein's meddling, resulting in a widely panned mess of a movie with a bad score and uneven pacing. Thornton never directed again after the incident. However, his preferred cut still exists, according to Matt Zoller Seitz, and it's time for it to be released.

The Epoch Times: Appeals Court Hands Maine Lobstermen Major Victory in Whale Protection Case
A US court has ruled against the National Marine Fisheries Service's (NMFS) plan for lobstermen to reduce their lines in the water by 98% within a decade to protect North Atlantic right whales, citing a lack of reliable data that Maine lobstermen are harming the whales. The Maine Lobstermen's Association said it hoped the decision would lead the NMFS to start from scratch and employ better science to protect the whales without killing off the lobster fishery. Lobstermen have been using non-floating lines and "weak links" on their traps for more than 20 years, all voluntarily, and say none of the data the NMFS used implicated them in the death of whales.

The Greens have delayed voting on Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's key legislation that aimed to provide social housing across Australia. Greens' leader Adam Bandt has said the onus is now on Labour premiers to act on rent freezes and limits on rent increases. The Housing Affordability Future Fund (HAFF) seeks to generate tens of thousands of social housing in Australia. Advocates are calling for the quick passing of the bill while crossbench senators are accusing the Greens of harming Australians.
