Spectator USA: How will the decline of cable news affect politics?
How will the decline of cable news affect politics?
Television has long dominated political campaigns, but the decline in viewership and trust in cable news channels may change that. While the prediction of cable news's demise may be premature, more people are turning to online platforms for their news. However, this shift to an internet-first politics worries some who fear it will further polarize the country. The choice for voters may ultimately be between the false presentation of cable news entertainment or online alternatives that are less controlled but potentially closer to the truth.

Breitbart: Research: 1-in-4 U.S. Children Live in Fatherless Homes, Spurring Mental Health and Behavioral Issues
Research: 1-in-4 U.S. Children Live in Fatherless Homes, Spurring Mental Health and Behavioral Issues
One in four American children live in fatherless homes, leading to developmental challenges such as anger issues, violent tendencies, and lower educational scores, according to an America First Policy Institute report. The report found that broken families leave children with low self-esteem and at risk of emotional problems such as anxiety and depression, and drug abuse, and they are more likely to commit suicide and suffer from behavioral issues than those with a paternal figure in the home. Younger people without fathers are also 10 times more likely to abuse substances, while 85% of those with behavioral disorders and 71% of those who abuse chemical substances come from fatherless homes.

California man sentenced to 1 year probation for groping women on cross-country flight
A man from Modesto, California, pleaded guilty to assaulting two women on a cross-country flight in 2022. Jairaj Singh Dhillon, 43, was sentenced to one year probation, with the first six months under home confinement, for the two counts of assault. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Dhillon engaged in "unwanted sexual contact" with two female passengers on May 31, 2022, on an overnight flight between Los Angeles and Boston.

Dhillon was accused of touching one of the women's thigh and groin area while she was taking care of her infant child. After she called for help, he was moved to an area where he then allegedly grabbed the second victim's groin and buttocks while she was standing next to her seat. He faced up to three years in prison and a year of supervised release, but was only sentenced to one year of probation.

'I have full trust in Jesus!': Deion Sanders may have foot amputated due to health complications, NFL legend already lost toes to blood clots
Former NFL player Deion Sanders may need his left foot amputated due to blood flow issues, following two amputations earlier this year. The 54-year-old has suffered health complications due to surgery to fix a dislocated toe and inflamed nerve, which later led to three "life-threatening" blood clots. A meeting with Sanders' medical team discussed the next steps in correcting his circulation, with one doctor warning that he could lose his foot and another stating that his blood pressure was now only yielding 66% of blood compared to the rest of his body. Sanders confirmed his trust in his medical team and his religious faith.
